She sighs, "Oh don't go getting that sour look on your face again. I don't mean anything by it ya know."

"So Where might your other two off duty friends be doing their rutting right about now?" she asks in a suggestive tone.

With a slight shudder at being both aroused and terrified, the guard responded, ”Well, the two off duty with me are still in the barracks. And if I don’t return soon, they’ll come looking.”

Looking at him she sighs, "Look....I'm sorry if I rolled my eyes at you. It's just something I do....I don't even think about it half the time. Are you mad at me too now?"

"No, I'm not mad at you," Ruedo answers. "You apologized earlier so I didn't think there was anything else that needed to be said."

"Now ask her if she'd be interested in a quiet dinner."

She looks thoughtful, "Oh....okay." She says before she gets quiet again.

"Really? You're still on about this?"

"Look," Ruedo says pensively. "You want to be treated with respect, right? Then act as if you are worthy of that respect. Yes, you can fly off the handle and you can be mad about things, but...I am your...friend in this mess we're in. Treating me like I don't understand you won't help me understand you. And rolling your eyes is just...dismissive. It tells me that you don't care about what I say to you."

Ruedo pauses for a moment. "Yes...I have to be a little...friendlier. I will try to work on that."

"I'm just trying to get you to be a little more open. Nothing wrong with that. Tell her she looks nice."

She looks down, "I'm...sorry. I just...I'm not used to anyone caring about what I care about, or caring if I care. I'm not trying to dismiss you....I'm just not used to people talking to me like that and saying those kinds of things to me. No one cares about how their property feels." She says sounding a little distant.

Despite himself, Ruedo approaches Eri. "You're not property and you never will be again. You're a person in my eyes and I will always treat you like one."

She nods as an angry scowl appears on her face at some distant memory, "Damn straight I won't....as soon as that lovely woman let me out of my cage I ate that son of a bi+<h that called himself my master and I will never be owned by anyone....ever again." Shaking her head as if trying to rid herself of the memories the rest of her seems to shake as well as her hands clench into fists.

*cue musical number*

*sigh*

Ruedo hesitantly puts a hand on Eri's shoulder. "We have a future to look forward to. One where no one will ever hurt you again. If anyone tries, they will have to go through all of us."

*slides hand down face* Oh my.....

When his hand touches her she flinches, but she doesn't instantly pull away as she would have before. Willing herself to relax she unclenches her fists as she looks up at him hesitantly, changing back to her more human looking side she gets her breathing under control as she slows the shaking. Not sure how exactly to react she thinks for a few minutes before responding.

After a few minutes she nods her head slightly as her hair falls into her face again, "You are the first person who has ever said anything like that to me. Not even my own parents ever cared anything about me.....they were the ones that sold me of course...but....I have held so much anger for so long....it's hard for me to think a different way and ripping people apart helps sometimes soooo....I guess that's just how I deal with things. I never thought I would have friends....or anyone really....but....thank you" The last couple of words come out more of a hoarse whisper as she tries to keep from crying again. Never had anyone been so kind to her, it was just kind of a shock and she wasn't sure how to react...but she never expected for it to make her feel this way.

"That anger will still be helpful as we make our escape, but I hope you can feel safe with me...I mean, us," Ruedo says.

"Damn you, Caliban."

"Too late."

She nods slightly as she looks up at him with a curious expression, "I...I'm trying...it's not easy. The trust I mean....I'll tear anyone apart that stands in our way of getting out of here....trusting people is just a little harder for me. I believe you though....when you say I'm safe....I think I know you wouldn't hurt me...or let other people hurt me." She grins a bit sheepishly, "It's why I usually eat people instead of talking to them. I sort of abandoned that idea one time....and ended up here...soooo...." She sort of shrugs but tentatively puts a hand on his as it rests on her shoulder, "I know you're not him though."

"Well then, I don't think we should wait any longer do you?" Rhavanalonna says with a smile. "Is there a bed or a chair anywhere here?"

Ruedo turns the slightest bit pink. "Ah...no...I'm not."

Cocking one of her eyebrows as she looks at him she asks, "Is it normal for your skin to be that color or are you getting sick?"

"Lovesick, maybe."

Ruedo looks into Eri's eyes for the first time, his heart starting to race. "Perhaps it's this air...I'm not used to being outside for so long..."

Why is he looking at me like that? She wonders as she looks up into his eyes with her own amber colored ones, and realizes that they are the same color as hers, "You know what? Your eyes are the same color as mine...." Rubbing her arms she gives him a slight nod, "Yeah...I guess it's a little chilly out here. It's possible it just stands out on you more than me since you're so pale." She gives him a slightly impish smirk.

Ruedo slowly draws his hand back and chuckles nervously. "Perhaps you're right. I think I'll sit down for a minute. Maybe I'll feel better."

Getting a smile on her face she says, "Maybe a cookie would help make you feel better? Or...maybe you just need to warm up somehow." Without really thinking about what she's doing she wraps her arms around him and presses herself against him to share her body heat, "Is that helping at all?"

Ruedo shudders involuntarily, unaccustomed to such contact. He is so taken by surprise that he can't respond.

"Thank her for her kindness."

I'm trying to think of where she would come to on him....he's 6'3" and she's 5'2"....sooooo...where would that put her exactly? Lol

Leaning her head against him as she attempts to warm him up she says, "You're surprisingly warm for someone so pale....are you sure you're not getting sick? Are you feeling better now?" She asks as her warm youthful body presses up against his.

"Umm, yes," Ruedo says finally. "You don't have to warm me up, though. Thank you...for thinking of me."

"I'll let you have that one, Caliban."

Loosening her hold on him she looks up into his face without completely pulling away from him...which is kind of weird for her since she's really not the touchy feely type. There was something....different about this though...she just didn't understand why or what it was. She did feel safe with him though and that was more than she could say about anyone ever in her life before.

"Well....thank you...for seeing me as something other than some kind of monster. You're a lot kinder than you give yourself credit for." Then...without any kind of warning she sort of wraps her arms around his neck and jumps up wrapping her legs around his waist and smiles before leaning down to give him a kiss. Blushing horribly now she says as she pulls her head back, "You're the first person I've ever done that to....so I'm sorry if it was bad."

"You're the first person to do that to me," Ruedo answers, a little breathlessly. "It wasn't bad."

Ruedo notices her wounds and gently caresses Eri's face, channeling healing energy into his touch.

"You were hurt," Ruedo comments. "I hope you didn't mind that."

Smiling down at him she shakes her head lightly, "No....I don't mind. Truthfully I had forgotten about those...I was lucky if they bandaged me up after the fights so....really I guess I'm just used to being hurt. But....I like the way you heal me. I should thank you again." She says as she leans in and kisses him a little longer this time. It was different when she wasn't being forced to do it.

Ruedo returns the kiss and forgets everything else but Eri for the moment.

"You two are so cute."

What am I doing? It doesn't feel bad though.... She thinks as she presses herself against him, it was nice to be held and not held down. She hoped she wasn't hurting him. Pulling back gently she says, "If...if you don't like this you can tell me to stop and I'll get down right this second. I would never want to force you to do anything you don't want to. I...I know how that feels...and I don't want to make you feel that way...so, if you want me to stop, I'll stop." She says, her voice a bit shaky.

"I...I like this...I like the way you make me feel, Eri. Like I'm someone special..." Ruedo says, emotion creeping into his voice. "Yeah, you're a bit stronger than me, but it's okay. You're not hurting me."

She nods, "I think...I think I understand what you mean, because I like the way you make me feel like a real person. I...haven't ever had that before. Besides...you are kinda cute." She says as she scrunches up her nose a little and gives him that impish smirk. Smiling she gets a twinkle in her amber colored eyes, "You might want to brace yourself against something." She warns as she leans in and kisses him softly on the neck.

Ruedo backs up against the wall. "T-that's nice."

He runs his fingers through Eri's hair, caressing her cheek every so often.

"See? I was right. I was riiiiiight. You can thank me later. I'll let you two enjoy your time alone."

She makes a soft humming noise that almost sounds like purring which is strange to say the least for someone who's more of a wolf than anything else. "Mmmmm....that's nice too. You have very...soft gentle hands...I like it when they touch me." She says as she runs her fingernails lightly down his back. Leaning close to him she whispers in his ear, "Know what else I like?"

Teenager hormones...what can I say?
