Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
The baying of the creature down the hall crashes around the corner and barrels down on Fazgyn. Heart hammering, thought fading, his knees quake beneath him as the primal urges smack him in the gut like a giants club. He takes a step backwards, then another.. before he can stop himself, he flees for the safety of explored tunnels!
Moving my token into the smaller tunnel where Fazgyn would have been prepping for the attack. He will flee from this location.
Sedoriku's Pregen of the Month |
Pethjun watches as everyone gets into place, a couple of times buffaloing a few people into more tactical places. She then sets herself up on the this side of the rune trap Vanarog set. With one final check of everyone's position and her rapier and shield, she gives a nod. <<"Ok, let's go.">> She then slaps her tail and the metal blades on it, against the tunnel walls making a loud clanging noise.
She however is completely not ready for the loud, unnatural baying that starts up. Dahak Dammit! I knew that wasn't a natural dog! I can't be here! It's going to eat me!

Vanarog stands on his floating disk at the back of the group, peering around the corner through the darkness to where the others, and more importantly, his TRAP lay in wait. Ooo this will be glorious, others will see the amazing powers a TRUE kobold holds!
Quickly though an unearthly, panic inducing howl echoes down the hall and chaos erupts in the ranks "Its not that bad, stand your ground!" He whispers to the others as his brain and feet make ready to make a tactical withdraw with great haste. Lets get the hell outta here!
He hops off his disk, drops his dragon staff and rushes back into the pond room towards the ladder, tail between his legs.

It doesn't look like Engashez's token was moved. Does she need to expend 2 rounds of movement to return to this position?
Sedoriku's Pregen of the Month |
Pethjun, cowering behind her shield takes a second to realize the mind-blanking fear is gone. Angry with herself and even moreso the dog in front of her, she takes a moment to ensure her shield is in place before adjusting to get her feet under her, and stand up. "Stupid Smoky Dog!"

Shaking her fear off, Engashez begins a song to inspire the kobolds.

Inspire Courage (Su): A 1st-level bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies (including himself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard's performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. At 5th level, and every six bard levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level. Inspire courage is a mind-affecting ability. Inspire courage can use audible or visual components. The bard must choose which component to use when starting his performance.
Engashez shakes off the dog's foul influence, and begins running back to the other kobolds. She'd never meet a true dragon if she ran from dogs.

Fazgyn, terrified beyond belief, barrels down the tight corridor away from the horrific doggie. Finally, the baying lets loose its iron grip on his manhood, and he realizes he has just been chased out of new tunnels like a vermin little goblin, scared of a dog! But with all of the dodging she'd done earlier, she realizes with a sinking feeling that she is completely off balance and couldn't swing her tail weapon around if she'd wanted to! Taking a moment to readjust, she watches as the dog disappears down the hall. "I'll, uh, Let you go. Yeah, you were, umm... too pathetic an enemy to fight seriously!"
When then sewer maintenence starts to resound down the tunnel, Pethjun grabs her rapier makes sure it's okay before sneaking closer, hanging back from Athrax's trap.

Fazgyn runs back down the tunnel and joins back up with the rest of the group. Caught between the main tunnel and the tunnel with the retreating dog, he pauses, drawing his shortswords.

Then the maintenance workers come out. They looks a bit funny. Instead of wearing the orange oiled leather suits that you expect from Sewer maintenance, they are dressed in ash-colored garments that appear a bit wispier than what you would expect of maintenance.
The one with green eyes steps forward to address Pethjun. "Hey! Lizard! Get out of here before we smoke you!" As he moves forward, he pulls a weapon and...

She then sidles up the sewers, shield and rapier at the ready, to the nearest fetchling-bigfoot. "Hopefully one of you can be more of a challenge, or I might fall asleep on my feet."
