By the way, Happy Birthday Tavius.
Ozvaldt gives you a gift of a bottle of fine wine (the extra fancy kind, with a cork and such), and throws a nice banquet for you. the banquet is a smaller, party members and family only affair.

Results Turn 5 Phase 3 Income - Rova (September) 4907
With the successful sale of a medium magic item and a successful Income roll the kingdom stands as follows:
Treasury = 17 BP; Economy = +30; Loyalty = +19; Stability = +25; Unrest = 0; Consumption = 1; Size = 7 hexes; ControlDC = 27

Results Turn 5 Phase 4 Events - Rova (September) 4907
Before the jail is finished, a small group of adventurers got very drunk and had to be asked to leave the Broken Moon Inn. Later that night the Broken Sword Brewery was broken into and set afire. The building is destroyed but will only cost 3 BP to rebuild during the next Improvement Phase. Until then the Kingdom looses the benefits of the brewery (Loyalty and Stability reduced by 1 each). The next morning Keston Garess investigated but could find no trace of anyone leaving the vicinity of the brewery. No one saw the cause as the two night watchmen were apparently felled by (from what little the watchmen could recall) a color spray spell.

Final Results of Turn 5

male keleshite human monk 4

It will be a repair expense, not a new building expense. It will not count toward the turn building count.

Turn 6 Lamashan (October) 4907
The party conducts the Show-the-Flag Tour during the first week of Lamashan to boost the peoples spirits after the destruction of the brewery.

  • Day 1 - The party travels east through the claimed hexes camping on the border of Greenmarch.
  • Day 2 - The party travels through A7 and reached Fort Serenko. They find the fort has been closed down and only a few people remaining in the town around the fort. You stop at the Open Road tavern for some refreshment and information. You find that the garrison has been reassigned to the east of Restov. They say that the Nomen centaur tribes have been acting up. You stay the night to get a fresh start in the morning.
  • Day 3 - The party explores the partial hexes B7 and C7 down to the river without incident. You scope out the Crooked Falls in B7 and the Shrike Cascades in C7. You make notes for the future trade route.
  • Day 4 - The party explores the partial hex D7 to the river without incident. They travel back to the edge of Greenmarch territory to camp the night.
  • Day 5 - The party visits the mine site and finds the mine workers busy timbering and shoring the mine, setting up camp, and planning the local processing of the gold ore. The chief miner gives Osvaldt a list of needed supplies, equipment, and personel needed to get the mine fully functional. The party travels north into the developed areas and reachs Leveton after dark.

The party earns 25 exp each for exploring the combined partial hexes.

Phase 1 - Upkeep
Please make a Stability roll to determine Unrest for the turn. The party pays the Consumption of 1 BP leaving 16 BP in the Treasury. The medium magic item slot is filled with a ring of protection +2, valued at 8,000 gp.

I still hate to talk myself out of points, but with the temporary loss of the mone, our stability is 23,not 25.

That should make next month's stability roll more interesting.

Got it, your are right...I re-read that section and you only get the check if it mentions you can.

Council Meeting at End of Turn 9 Abadius (January) 4710
Raginare Vallotte returns to Greeenmarch and asks to speak at the Council meeting. He has an official communication from the Swordlords of Restov. He quotes, "It has come to our attention that the Barony of Greenmarch has claimed territory bordering the lands of Restov west of Fort Serenko. Such an incursion into lands historically controlled by Restov and the Dragonscale Throne of Brevoy is considered outside the lands granted under our exploratory charter of 4709. Greenmarch must relinquish the territory in question and withdraw to the bounds set forth in the referenced charter."

Harad Navar wrote:

Out of character - can you give that to us in map reference? Because I thought our charter was bordered by the river and the road, and we haven't crossed etiher.

In cahracter, Oz would very diplomatically assure Vallotte that no incursion was intended, and perhaps what is called for is a survey to define th borders more precisely, as the original grant was quite vague.

male keleshite human monk 4
Osvaldt Langham wrote:

The exploration charter sets the boundary at 36 miles east of Oleg's Trading Post. In claiming A7 Greenmarch has exceeded that boundary by 6 miles. Since Restov is essentially abandoning their fort leaving their west flank unprotected it might be argued that Greenmarch must protect their own boarders. If Fort Serenko were manned to full strength there would be no need to control land right up to the fort.

We'll need to take a closer look at that and see who is there. I have no objection to settlers so long as they live within the laws of the land.
