Silx slips while trying to climb over the railing. Granita reaches out to give him a hand while he tries to keep from falling.

Silx manages to recover quickly while Granita's leverage helps him onto the stairs. They are both at D11.

Shayne stops singing (Nimt, who is before Shayne in the initiative order, gains the last of Inspire Courage) and waits quietly. When he hears Tolin move inside he will do his best to dash out the hopefully vacant doorway.

He prays his fortune telling cards are not damaged in the fight.

Nelith starts at A10. He hears Silx and Granita moving up the stairs, and follows them.

Heh. I rolled a 3 even without the penalty from being blinded.

On this note, I do not mind if you make such rolls for me. Please do so whenever you wish. I do not want to ask you to do more work as GM, but also do not want to have the game slowed needlessly just for a die roll, so however you wish on a case-by-case basis.

Silx will continue to get Granita out and away from the men chasing them. As they escape, he asks her "Do you think you have a safe place you can stay?"

The smoke is not clearing, but it is also not moving. It seems to just be staying where it was. Other than the sounds of those heading toward and up the stairs, the Inn is eerily quiet.

Shaking her head, Granita speaks while keeping her eyes forward. "This place is my life. If we can get out of here I know some people that owe me favors."

Aak, taken off guard by the random attack from out of the darkness, takes a dagger to the arm. He lets out few curse words in both Orc and Common. Not feeling too good, he looks around to make sure his new comrades have safely made their escape from whatever threat this guy is.

Throwing common sense to the wind and more out of anger he steps up to engage the enemy that hurled a dagger at him.

Clearly surprised by Aak's attack, the cloaked figure at the bottom at the stairs looks relieved as the half-orc's powerful swing goes wide.

As the smoke clears several of the hooded figures still stand stunned. One man can now be seen clearly near Shayne, while another in near Aak at the base of the stairs. Though a horse can be seen milling about outside the Inn, Tolin is no where in sight.

Round six: Nimt (has last round actions also), Shayne, Silx, Thangardt (has made it into the hallway upstairs), and Aak.

I am still unsure which map square Shayne occupies. I suspect A3 or A6, but do not which which of those is adjacent to a window. Please let me know.

The smoke arrived in Round Three, correct? Just confirming: if it is clearning now then Shayne has the penalties for rounds six, seven, eight, and nine.

I am not sure what to do with this. Shayne has AC 10 with neither armor nor Dexterity modifier. If the figure is technically charging the +2 to hit means the attack hits. But with the rubble by the door, tables, and darkness I am assuming the "charge" was descriptive but not actual game mechanics. Please let me know which interpretation is correct.

Poor choice of words. Yes, the charge was not the kind with a bonus. My assumption was that the attack missed. I'm pretty sure Shayne was at A6.

So Shayne is at A6. He wants to depart through the front door if possible, or a window. Who does he see? Where are they?

There is a hooded figure standing by you at B6. Stunned figures remain at A7 & A8 as does the debris from the broken door (4x movement). You remain near a window. Climbing onto the table at A5 would get you close enough to try and break the window again (and provoke AoO).

"I surrender!" The gnome drops his whip, gently sets down the head, and holds up his empty hands.

"How can I help? She fed me terrible food, locked me inside as you approached, ordered me to fight or flee (flee where? she just locked me inside?), attacked first with lethal force, and abandoned me while I was blind and weak."

"You approached calmly, asked for surrender, prefer temporarily debilitating magic to lethal force, and take care of your teammates."

"I'm new to town, but can see who the nice folks are."

"Where are the upstairs guests during all this ruckus? She probably poisoned them before I arrived. The kitchen has no food. Is this even a real inn?"

The figure, satisfied with Shayne's apparent surrender rips a section of his cloak, and attempts to tie him up.

"M'lady stays with me," the gnome says, trying to pick up the head again. Assuming this action is not stopped, he does not resist being tied up, but might add, "If you want to tie my hands, would one of you kind gentlemen please fetch her sack from the floor there? Then you can tie her to me. I'll share our story at a more appropriate time."

The figure, pauses to feel te sack, but seems satisfied that it poses no danger. He complies and hurries to secure Shayne and the requested parcel.

Sorry was at work all day.......More out of anger then anything else, Aak takes another swing at the enemy standing in front of him, determined to at least inflict some harm to the knife wielding jerkface.

Meanwhile, upstairs:
Silx secures Granita with a rope and helps her out the window. Though she looks scared, neither sees any sign of danger. As she nears the ground a horn sounds in the distance. Several arrows fly. Though the first few are far from their target, one finally hits.. severing the rope and dropping Granita to the ground. Though shaken, Granita gets up unharmed. The flaming light emerging from around the side of the Inn catches her and Silx attention.
