Yes the only reason Aak was proposing the idea is just so we had a healer, he is already in the campaign. feel free!

Grand Lodge

Lucent, feel free to throw up any idea you may have. I am down to play whatever, its all good :)

I can whip together an oracle of Life today, been wanting to play one of those. Are the 3PP apprentice level rules on d20srd.org? Also if you could PM me with some setting details (if we're not on Golarion) and anything else you think would be helpful I'll put it together today on my breaks at work.

Nevermind, I found the super-genius apprentice rules PDF. Apparently I had it on my thumb drive!

Awesome. Let me know if you have any questions Lucent. I'll toss you info. on the pantheon for the campaign via PM. It's regional in nature and dwarf centric. If you have a concept in mind that doesn't fit the deities I have picked let me know as I'm happy to add some background.

Alright. Alias made, going to throw details in the profile shortly.

Grand Lodge

Want me to switch back to "tank"? I might not go fighter but will definitely by someone that can take a hit :)

Okay, can't seem to edit my profile right now for some reason. So here's the crunchy bits:

NOTES
--------------------
Energy Body (Su): As a standard action, you can transform your body into pure life energy, resembling a golden-white fire elemental.

In this form, you gain the elemental subtype and give off a warm, welcoming light that increases the light level within 10 feet by one step, up to normal light.

Any undead creature striking you with its body or a handheld weapon deals normal damage, but at the same time the attacker takes 1d4 points of positive energy damage + 1 point per oracle level.

Creatures wielding melee weapons with reach are not subject to this damage if they attack you. If you grapple or attack an undead creature using unarmed strikes or natural weapons, you may deal this damage in place of the normal damage for the attack.

Once per round, if you pass through a living allied creature’s square or the ally passes through your square, it heals 1d4 hit points + 1 per oracle level.

You may use this ability to heal yourself as a move action. You choose whether or not to heal a creature when it passes through your space.

You may return to your normal form as a free action. You may remain in energy body form for a number of rounds per day equal to your oracle level.

Orisons:
Known (4)
* Light
* Resistance
* Stabilize
* Spark

The reduced dice size on energy body is per apprentice rules. No weapons to speak of.

The trait (if ok) allows the birthmark to be used as a divine focus and grants a +2 on saves vs. charm and compulsion (here).

Just so you know, Lucent, "Oracles do not need to provide a divine focus to cast spells that list divine focus (DF) as part of the components."

Birthmark is still an interesting Trait, but it does not do nearly as much for an Oracle.

More for flavor than mechanics, I didn't really see any others that leapt out at me.

If you want a flavorful trait, may I suggest Good Dreams? Our GM might allow it with a different deity than Desna. It is the most Oracle-like trait I know, especially for an Oracle whose Revelation does not provide any divination ability.

Lucent I sent the deity info. If you have another deity in mind let me know and I can see if it fits into what I have in mind for this region.

Replied, and sent some background info and stuff to you. :)

Looked it over. Check your mail. You're set to join the game. We just need to discuss how your character will be introduced :-)

Sweet. I'm fine with being introduced at a time of your choosing, whatever feels natural. Perhaps the wagon she's hitched a ride with comes rolling into whatever town the PCs are in, and she has to secure passage to the monastery from there on out (and thusly gets roped into the hijinks).

Recruiting is now closed. If you are interested in being added to a wait list incase a player needs to step out for any reason please feel free to post.

Reopening recruitment.

Looking for one player interested in creating a bard / witch. Other comparable classes / archetypes may be proposed. Character would start at level two.

Depending on the current PCs the new player would either be joining an established group or replacing a player.

Experienced Play tester?:
I have a new player character race I've been working on so if you're feeling brave feel free to toss me a PM as that would be an option for the character if interested.

So far I've gotten one solid character concept. DarkLightHitomi should be chiming in shortly.

Still happy to take other character proposals, but unless something crazy happens I think we have our new PC.

Lantern Lodge

Hello all!

I have presented my concept for a bard to the GM. I will be playing a rather outgoing character which is unusual for me, so we'll see how well I can pull it off. :)

Still picking a name, and will put crunch together at work (plenty of time as work for me involves guarding a field in the middle of nowhere.)

Edit: Base character concept, I am a noble woman who has just come of age recently. She is outgoing and a bit careless, though she trains hard and is proud of what she can do. She has learned much of the magic and knowledge passed down in her family. She takes takes her responsibility as a noble seriously, though her outgoing careless nature disguises it quite well.

Greetings! Established group is looking for one more, preferably melee oriented. Rogues most welcome - though any stealthy type would fit well. We're currently running with two PCs, but expect the return of our oracle after RPG Superstar is complete.

Character starts out at lvl 2 with 20 point buy. Non-human character preferred. Core races, plus Drow and Druegar permitted. All classes, including psonics permitted.

Please respond here.

It looks like the current party composition is an Arcane Duelist Bard, a Crusader Cleric, a Kensai Magus, and a Life Oracle's rejoining the party after Superstar. Is that correct? I'm interested but curious as to why you're specifically requesting another melee-oriented PC considering that the current party has no full arcane caster, no debuffer/battlefield controller, and no ranged combatant.

I'm open to other types of characters, but without a stealth oriented character things down the line may get tricky. A caster could fill this role, but might be left at a disadvantage if caught unawares.

If you have a specific concept in mind feel free to toss it out there.

I'm leaning toward an Alchemist, actually. With the right discoveries, I'll be able to do some debuff/battlefield controll with bombs. Plus, I'll have a fair amount of skills, and I prefer Dex-based characters, so I'll definitely be stealthy enough to fill an Advance Scout role when necessary. I'll put up a build tomorrow after work. I just need to know traits and starting gold.

Did a little research before bed. Would a Half-Elf Alchemist (grenadier/bramble brewer) be acceptable? He'd cover the Ranged/Battlefield Control/Blasting/Scout/Trapfinder roles as necessary. I'm heading to bed now (midnight EST) but, as I said in my previous post, I'll put up a build after work.

Sounds very promising. I look forward to your build.

Here's what I've got. No idea how much money you want me to start with, so I haven't geared myself, but that should be the only adjustment. What's your opinion on crafting alchemical items (tanglefoot bags, splinter arrows, etc)? Also, I haven't done anything backstory-wise, as I'm not sure how you want to bring me into the campaign. If you give me some stuff to work with, I'll type up a paragraph or two. :-)

Looks great. Use standard wealth for level two. If you're willing I'd like to bring you into the campaign soon. I'm guessing early next week, but depending on post frequency could be as early as this weekend. If that works I can PM you with basic structure of my thoughts for bringing Adalric into the fold.

Sounds like a plan. :-) I'll get gear done tonight; nothing too crazy. Longbow, some arrows, standard adventuring kit, and some alchemical items. I'll be waiting for your PM.

Grand Lodge

Here we go! I'm ready when you are. :-)

Awesome. I'll toss you a PM as we get closer to your character's introduction.

Grand Lodge

Sounds good. :-)
