Deity, Benevolent or Malevolent that remains to be seen.

Just waiting on Madge

Liberty's Edge

"I'll distract him for you, Aaziroth. Smack him with that big hammer, ya?"

Madge swings threateningly at the skeleton, trying to grab his attention enough for her ally to find an opening.

Because of her Helpful trait, Aaziroth now has a +4 to hit the skeleton

But misses.

Was at -4. now at +2

Aaziroth's eyes snap open as he quickly sits up looking for the skeleton. He relaxes a bit when he sees it in a pile. "He gave us quite a fight." He looks at Talon standing over him with a wand. "Thank you. I can take it from here. Who else needs healing?" he says as he stands up and takes out his wand.

He then walks over to Koriar.

Halorn shakes his head, as if to clear it for some reason. "Well, I can see them priests being scared of that thing."

He looks around at the party, seeing quite a bit of wounds and catching of breath. "You guys rest a bit. I'll look around for loot and take inventory." Halorn looks around and gathers up whatever he can find.

"The architecture in here is fascinating!"

Deity, Benevolent or Malevolent that remains to be seen.

So I don't think a perception is needed to see the door side of a secret door but you do see a door. Guessing you open it.

The ceiling of this cavernous chamber vaults to a height of sixty feet, forming an architectural wonder unsupported by any visible columns or buttresses. Forty feet overhead, a wide stone bridge with an elaborately carved railing arches over the chamber from north to south, joining two sets of massive bronze doors at either end. The central portion of the chamber contains an inlaid spiral symbol and is recessed into the floor, with eight staircases leading up to a wide ledge that encircles the room ten feet above. On this ledge stand bronze doors to the east and west. Eight larger-than-life statues stand upon the ledge as well, evenly spaced around the room’s circumference—seven carved from white stone, and the eighth carved from black stone.

You see a statue standing in the alcove in front of you after the door is open.

Silver Crusade

M Human Wizard/1

Detect Magic on the statue.

Deity, Benevolent or Malevolent that remains to be seen.

There is evocation magic on the statue.

Silver Crusade

M Human Wizard/1

"Oh, hey! Pathfinders, this statue reeks of evocation. If it's anything like the statue from before, I bet we can activate it by touching..."

The wizard instinctively starts to put out his hand. But, then he remembers the multiple admonitions from the party, and he stops before making contact.

"Maybe we should back up before somebody checks out this statue?"

The Exchange

Human Rogue 2 DEAD

Talon nods in approval at Ziusudra.

"You might live to see the end of this dungeon yet, kid."

The rogue moves closer to the statue and examines it carefully, looking for traps or anything the statue might conceal.

Human Rogue 2 DEAD

Sorry...I mean to take 20 on perception for 27, not just glance at it. :/

Talon looks at the statue even more carefully.

Deity, Benevolent or Malevolent that remains to be seen.

Yes there is a trap. Its magical. And remember that every take 20 takes 5 minutes.

The Exchange

Human Rogue 2 DEAD

"I'm not sure if these ancient traps are up my alley," Talon smirks. "But I'll see if I can disarm it."

I had already rolled a DD check on it for 16. Guessing that doesn't cut it. I can't take 10 or 20 on these, right?

Silver Crusade

M Human Wizard/1

Whilst Talon works, Ziusudra looks around the rest of the room.

Detect Magic.

I think you can take a 10, since we are not in combat. The take 20 action generally means the PC tried again and again until he succeeds, which is not the case here.

Liberty's Edge

Taking 20 on perception actually takes half the amount of time, as it's a move action for active perception, and thus you can do twice the number of checks in the same amount of time

Madge moves closer to watch Talon work.

"Evocation, that's like the 'blow-ya-up' type of magic, ya? Best to be careful around that."

Silver Crusade

M Human Wizard/1

"Evocation is so last crusade!" the wizard says disdainfully. "Conjuration! Now, there's a really interesting school of magic!"

Deity, Benevolent or Malevolent that remains to be seen.

And the goblins ate my post....

I've put Halorn's icon where I think we could go as an alternative.
