Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Looks like I have a character to level, and an animal companion to choose. I am cool with slow advancing, whatever is best.
Orovan

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Day Job (logger): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
About the advancement thing: as a player, I think I've done one other level of Emerald Spire. A higher level. Orovan currently has 7 XP, now 10 with this sheet. I do want to make sure I'm synced up with everyone else, but I'm worried if I take the slow track I'll end up behind everyone after I miss the XP for that level.
How can I best stay synced with the group?
| Gimble, The Storyteller |
@Orovan: Ok. That's actually the next one. So you can take full credit for the one after that instead of half and you'll be caught up.
You can tag along with the group for no credit if you like, but if you do, please let others make decisions so as not to spoil the scenario.

I figure I should at least be there for moral support. But yeah, no spoilers from me.
I didn't realize it was coming up so soon!

The Chronicle will give you 3 XP, 4 Prestige, and 3711 gp.
Looks like the gold might've been off a little.

If I put the correct Chronicles in the folder, the gold would be correct (I accidently put the Level 2 Chronicles in the folder).
Try it again.

No worries. As always, you have until we roll initiative for the first time, so you have time.

Same with me, hopefully getting something done on it today if not then definitely by tomorrow. I always mess up the available funds for purchasing. Does anyone know off hand what we can spend on things not on character sheet?

I believe you can buy anything up to the max amount your Fame allows.

I'm sorry I am so far behind, this week is insane. but I am making some time today. Am I correct that we only have 8 Fame because we have been getting 4 PP each level? At least those of us who have started on this adventure.
Or rather, 6 Fame and 6 PP.

WHAT! You mean 4x3 is 12 not 6?.. I'm an idiot. Thanks.
OK getting +1 to my bow.
Can I get a cloak of resistance +1 or an Ioun stone that I can afford?

Sorry trying to figure out how to determine cost and which magic items there are and considering first character to this level not sure how to determine my options.
The leveling has been completed just need to equip if anyone can provide a little guidance would be appreciated.

Hovok, you'll spend most of your gold in your career on just buying bonuses, like an Amulet of Natural Armor/Ring of Deflection for AC, Belts/Headbands for physical/mental stats respectively, your must-have Cloak of Resistance for saves, and of course the classic +1 weapon/armor.
At this level you're probably best off buying a +1 to your weapon & armor, and a cloak of resistance. But if you're planning to upgrade your armor to something else, you may want to hold off on enchanting it. Eventually you'll want an adamantine weapon too most likely.

I am at full plate already unless I go for a special material before going for bonuses and where do you find the cost for the +1 enchant that is the section I am having trouble navigating sadly.
Hovok Thunderforge

kk so trading Furious focus for improved sunder and taking Dwarven hatred style for feats.
Selling my longhammer and buying an adamantine longhammer. Will probably keep the rest of my gold currently so I can either get +1 to the weapon after the next one or getting some specialty armor.
Sorry for all the delays.

Likewise, I'm just going to get a +1 to bow, and +1 cloak of resistance. No re up on arrows this level, I don't believe I fired a shot. I'll have stats updated as soon as I get my charger from work.

Yes, that was really all there is to Level 4. Give up 2 pounds of metal per PC and you can continue on. . . I'll get chronicle sheets to you this week and We'll start Level 5 on Monday. I believe everyone is going Slow Progression for this level.
Everyone Roll Day Jobs and a D20 for Boons as this also qualified for Gameday.
GM's Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 14

My apologies for taking so long to get you all your chronicles. It's been a busy week. I'll have them ready tomorrow and hopefully I'll get a post up for 5th Level of the spire tomorrow as well. You may still purchase items up to the point we roll initiative for the first time as per usual.

I'd love to hear it. I feel like we've been so diplomatic lately.

So basically we go in and find these trogs, and of course the barbarian wants to kill them because they're trogs. We talk him down and make friends, and everything is going okay, but the barbarian tries the "god food" and gets angry, pretty sure that the trogs are trying to poison him. We talk him down and keep going, then we get to the god box room. The barbarian wants to see all the metal stuck to it so he walks in.
Now it's important to note that this barbarian had just recently purchased a shiny brand-new +1 huge sword. He was very proud of it. He liked to carry it openly in spite of our pleas to consider the diplomatic consequences. He had a huge magic sword and it was like his pet and everyone needed to see how big and magical and expensive his sword was.
So he walks into the god box room and it immediately grabs his sword. *SMACK* it's glued to the box, just like that. Naturally this makes him furious and he walks right up to the god box and flies into a rage, attempting to rip his sword free. It does not work. Still fuming, he begins frantically looking around for some way to disable the god box. Yes, the thing that literally sustains this trog population has taken the barbarian's sword and must now be wrecked. He stomps all about the trogs' home in spite of their objections, tries everything he can, and eventually starts just kinda dismantling the place. The trogs are naturally very distraught and eventually attack. He slaughters them all, the whole tribe, be it trog-man, trog-woman, or trog-child. He then finishes his dismantling and frees the metal things from the god box. He takes back his sword and all is right in his world again.
The rest of us just kind of watched in horror while this all went down.
And that's the story of the first time I played any Emerald Spire.
