Scrabbler comes sliding to a halt as he finally catches up, and stares in confusion at the strange block of clear slime.
Not knowing what it was, he stayed well away and resorted to throwing a knife at it.

Edgar jumps at the sight of the large cube before drawing an obsidian starnknife and throwing it at the large cube, "Hyuunnhhhh!!!"

id like to wait to post round 2 actions until the cube is on the map so I know whats going on.

Edgar begins to panic as he realizes the door behind him is locked and the cube has taken up the entire hall as he roars, "EDWINNNNNN!!!! GET OVER HERE AND SAVE ME!!!!" as he tries to think of something to do to help his situation while casting shield on himself defensively.
cast lvl 1 spell defensively vs DC17: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
but he just barely loses the spell at the last second as Edwin doubles moves to the trapdoor and ends his turn and the bottom of the ladder.

Daseem spots Edwin staring at the door and he hears Edger's cry for help, 'What the devil is going on here?! Is that Ivan I can hear round the corner? He seems to be fighting something too...' Daseem drew his sword and raced round the corner only to see something very large and jelly apparently attacking something, 'Uhhh what is that?!' he thought.

Sorry, I've got a sick dog.
Menrozzar runs around the corner, pulling out his hammer. He thought of his inner flame and, again, his eyes changed to a reptilian gold and his hands warped into claws, becoming red and scaly.
He moved to where he could see the weird cube and swung the hammer at it.

The cube takes a hard beating but is too stupid to flee. Instead it presses into the corner where Edgar stands with now way to escape and simply floats around him, engulfing him in it's acidic jelly.

Bupkis tries to shoot past Menrozzar at the big blob of goo.

If the cube has moved out of the main corridor, Bupkis will move into the space with the statue to shoot.

Edgar presses himself against the bars of the gate as the cube envelops him,"Ah, AHHH, AHHHHHHHRGHHHLGLLGLLLGGGLL" as he reaches in vain towards Edwin.

Edgar seizes up inside the Cube, appearing lifeless.
Edwin opens the door, moves in front and slices into the cube to save his brother.

Edwin takes a move to open the door, 5ft step to get in front of the cube, and a standard to attack

Noting the Bronson brothers distress, Daseem takes a look, "N-n-now lemme see..."
Noting everyone's eyes on him, Daseem thought bitterly, 'Who am I kidding? I'm no doctor - lets just hope his malady is obvious.

Daseem finds that Edgar still breathes and after two minutes that seem like forever Edgar starts moving again.
Once that main focus of concern is no longer an issue, you notice that the cube contained some items of interest. A steel scroll case (containing a scroll), a finely made chain shirt, a falchion, a star rose quartz amulet, and coins totaling 20 gp, 95 sp, and 144 cp.
The heal check was for Daseem's question if the cube was dead ;)

"Anyone wants healing?" Bupkis asks.
This is you-pay-the-burn healing! One burn (2 non-lethal damage that can't be healed until an 8 hour rest), in exchange for 1d6+4 damage healed.
After healing anyone who wants it, Bupkis goes into the room that the cube came from and looks around.

The walls of this chamber are pocked with skull-sized cubbyholes, each containing a single brass or clay urn—some long since shattered or dented, others still intact. A lightly colored stone statue depicting a burning chariot wheel occupies the northwest corner of the room. Two iron doors on the eastern wall allow egress from the room.

"Is Edgar still alive?" Menrozzar asked. Upon learning he was, Menrozzar breathed a sigh of relief. "Does anyone know what that thing was? I hope we don't encounter any more of them."
Menrozzar looked about the room it had come from. Studying the urns a moment, he looked at them and said, "This may have been a burial chamber for cremated remains. We should take care not to disturb any of the urns."
He opened the second iron door, since they'd come in through one of them to see what was on the other side.
I don't think we've checked H14 yet.

"Bupkis checks up stairs," the goblin told the others. He climbs the steps, wary of hazards.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Going up to H7. Bupkis looked in H14 — I think that's where Othdan was.
I'm going to assume that 2 minutes has passed since Bupkis was caught in the trap, and his Force Ward is back to full strength.

"ughhhghh well that was weird" Edgar says as we wipes any goo remaining off of himself,"I agree Othdan, lets get the hell out of here and back to town."

Bupkis returns to the others and says, "Scratching upstairs!". He sneaks back up the stairs to see whats making the noise.

Daseem felt a moment's confusion, he didn't know what was going on but Manrozzar was running upstairs so he followed right on his heels!
I'm not seeing a rat on the map, is it upstairs? Daseem will move as required to close to melee range if possible, or look dumb in the corner otherwise...

Scrabbler |

Scrabbler ran up the stairs and rebounded off walls as he turned corners, coming to a halt hanging on the wall above Bupkis.
All I'm doing this round is moving. Taking 10 on Climb for 25 at the end of my movement. If that's not enough to hang onto these walls, I'll adjust my action.

Bupkis winds up and punches the remaining rat with his cestus. "Rat's shouldn't be so big!"

Two iron doors connect this small stone extension to the Plague House’s main building. A large steel lockbox sits in front of a steep stone staircase that winds down into darkness.

Bupkis |

Bupkis frowns and looks at the lockbox. He doesn't have proper lockpicks; he takes off his iron glove and takes a pin and small piece of junk from his pocket, and tries to improvise. "Maybe take Bupkis time!", he says.
