Dunklezahn's words are the last the kish hears as his head is severed. Janzi hurls the abandoned axe towards the leader, who dodges it with well trained ease.

The head of the renegade fanatics shouts something that is obviously a curse on all your families. Then, with utter and perfectly attunement to the universe, the fabric of reality within 15' of the kish explodes! Everyone except Booker (who is out of range) can make a reflex save DC 17 for half of....

Booker wheels into the room and arcs his rifle left until dead over the kish leader. He pulls the trigger and the gun slams into his shoulder, accelerating his retreat back out of the room. Just as he clears the door, he sees the kish's head snap back from the bullet.

The load thud of the vesk falling is ominous, though Booker does not see it. He has a guess as to what happened, but his soldier's training keeps his motions practiced and mechanical. He darts toward the door for a shot, then back across the room.

Booker lucks out and scores a solid shot.... but it's not enough to bring the kish down. The kish takes the shot, turns the corner, and lets fly with his supernova! No time to fret just now, or we're all dead, he thinks, racing out of the room and ducking behind a wall. He holds his corona pistol up, breathing hard, waiting for an opening.

Double move, sadly. Dunk and Gig need to spend some of those RPs, and get back into this. Ranged is our best shot.

Booker ducks the worst of the blast, and his armor's thermal capacitors absorb some of the rest. (14 total fire damage.) Quick as lightning, the old soldier uses the chaos of the 'nova to reload his weapon.

He brings it to his shoulder and fires.

Gig uses his tried and true spell. He moves his weary arms for the entire round in somatic gestures and taps into his spell cache to cast one more Magic Missile spell to try and finish off the brutal foe. The arcane bolts burst from his finger tips. He hopes the Kish doesn’t notice where those missiles came from.
