Coldwar ices up and heads to intercept the kidnappers.

The closet opens in and is quite small. There is barely room for the three men inside. The handle is an elongated bar that you push down to open.

Coldwar, you are moving to intercept the ninjas and their victim. They are repelling down the backside of the building.

Could I find something to wedge against it to prevent someone from opening the door from the inside, or does the door's design prevent that?

A Fragment moves to the exit door checking his gear by habit, He calls a Fragment. ::Get near a mirror, we may need backup::

Coldwar slides toward the ninjas. As he approaches, the human Popsicle starts freezing the water in the air under the ninjas to create a curved ice wall preventing them from reaching the ground.

MINOTAR brings the javelin in close to the Lexcorp building, wary of automated or active defensive systems. If the building has a communications division, he will also make sure they understand why the Javelin is there and approaching the building.

Over the Javelin's Loudspeaker, he will communicate with the rappelling ninja's directly.

"Statement: Place your prisoner into the Ice basket below you and surrender. Your deception is over and revealed."

The Fragment Moves to the door, Looks at the reflective window next to one of the repelling ropes and pushes a Fragment apears next to the rope and grabs on to it.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

The fragment looks down from the repelling line and speaks in a modulated voice. "We have you surrounded"

Straighjacket waits to see what the ninjas do after the orders, before he jumps down to aid in the inevitable fight.

The ninjas on the backside of the building do as instructed, realizing that the jig is up. They place the unconscious man into the ice basket and step down onto the ice with their hands in the air.

Ghost, you can rather easily wedge the door closed.

Dropping the chain ladder, MINOTAR communicates over the comms.

"Request: Fragment and Straightjacket, please place the ninjas under arrest, then escort the former prisoner to the javelin for his safety. Coldwar, see if you can reach the interior and aid ghost inside the building if he needs it."

Ghost wedges the door closed, then moves to the nearest empty office, picks up the phone, and calls security. In a panicked voice, he says, "Hello, security? I saw three suspicious people sneaking around on the 20th level? They sneaked into the maintenance closet near Mr. Richter's office. I'm pretty sure they're armed, and I heard them say something about hurting Mr. Luthor at today's signing! Please, hurry and catch them before they do something dangerous!"

Ghost then hung up, and commed the others. "We need to get Leslie Richter back into the building. Wake him up, then take him in the front door and tell the security desk what happened, and that there's a double in his office. I just tipped them off about the ninjas in the maintenance closet."

MINOTAR quickly replies on the comms.

"Understood: Once the man is retrieved safely we will escort him to the building's helicopter landing pad. I have warned the building's air traffic control that we are here operating near the building on behalf of the corporations involved."

Straightjacket does as instructed, jumping down to apply zip ties to the ninja's wrists.

Arcfire, when you are inside the phone, are you in any way aware of your surroundings?

Straightjacket and Fragment quickly bind the ninjas. Security immediately responds to Ghost's call. It is easy enough to wake Mr. Richter, though he is groggy and does not understand what is going on. He acts as if he has been drugged.

Good question - He has the ability to tie into any nearby security devices, so he would probably be able, and monitoring, anything the cell was able to hear or see through its camera(s), as well as security cameras in the hall and elevator, etc. He would not be able to see anything else though, so if the phone were on a table, he'd likely just have a view of the ceiling, or the inside of his pocket, etc. He would probably therefore be paying extra attention to the sounds, and to the other cameras in the building.

Coldwar takes control of the victim and ice slides him to the helipad.

Into the comms, "I've the prime. Taking him to Evac point."

Liking how well everything is going, MINOTAR begins to worry that it was a little too easy...

Unable to do much else at the moment, he contacts the LexCorp control tower to alert security.

"Emergency Contact: LexCorp air traffic control? This is Justice League Javelin again. We have apprehended just outside the building, criminals in the process of a kidnapping. The victim has been rescued and is being escorted immediately to the Helipad on the roof of your building. Please have LexCorp security meet him and verify his identity as soon as possible. Please note, we are at your disposal nearby if further need arises."

"Lexcorp Security to Justice League. Affirmative, we will meet you on the roof." True to their word, four black-suited security men are waiting at the helipad to take charge of Mr. Richter.

As the majority of you assemble on the roof, LexCorp security is there to greet you. "We've captured the three men that were inside, thanks to your tip. Is there anything else that we can do?"

MINOTAR nods.

"Affirmative Answer: The enemy is extremely capable, so keep an eye out for other infiltrators. This particular situation could all be a distraction for what we know. Their ultimate goal is to prevent the merger/sale as we understand."

Coldwar shrugs inherently untrusting of employees of Lex Luthor.

A message comes in from Arcfire; he believes that Mr. Yamashito has been abducted. He reports that he was unable to see much, and has been placed in a container of some sort, but he did hear brakes squealing and a lot of conversation in what he presumes to be Japanese.

MINOTAR will immediately request that the Lexcorp security confirm the abduction of Mr. Yamashito if they can, while he preps the Javelin for launch.

"Urgent Suggestion: Come aboard the Javelin if you wish a lift my friends. If they have abducted the target and removed him from the premises, then it is the fastest way to catch up to them at the moment. It is only a speculation how long of a head start they may have. As I have feared...this may have all been a distraction for us...or more hopefully a 'Plan B.'"

Coldwar ice slides into the Javelin and buckles up for travel.

Straightjacket bounds into the javelin as he shrinks to normal size and then buckles in.

Ghost teleports into the javelin, then says, "We need to track where they're taking him. Let's get on the scanners and attempt to locate his cell phone signal."

Technology: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

"Acknowledgement and Agreement: I just hope Arcfire remains safe. I will get us quickly into the air for an optimal search pattern as soon as possible."

With that, MINOTAR hesitates only a nano-second before engaging the VTOL thrusters and lifting off from the roof. He warns the Lexcorp flight tower that the Javelin is making an emergency lift-off and to warn other air traffic nearby to be wary of their ascension vector.

Triangulating the signal from Arcfire, you manage to pinpoint his location; Yamashito Electronics. You arrive to find Mr. Yamashito's limo parked empty in the alleyway. The alley ends at a brick wall. The business seems to be rather busy this morning, with people coming and going from the front of the building.

I will park the Javelin nearby and open the ramp immediately.

"Hurried Statement: Spread out. We need to find Mr. Yamashito as soon as possible. Beware, they are probably expecting us! Radio in with anything out of the ordinary."

Stepping off the ramp, MINOTAR stops to begin scanning the local airwaves for any strange or obviously out of place signals using his internal radio transmitter.

Technology: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Ghost looks at the brick wall, then he goes to the Javelin's computer to call up a map of the city and see if that alley does, in fact, end in a brick wall.

Not sure what to roll on this one.

According to city maps, yes, that alley ends at a blank wall. However, Ghost notices, in looking at the wall, that one of the bricks is a slightly different color than the rest.

Turning invisible, Ghost walks up to the wall and pokes his head through to see what's on the other side.

The Fragment pulls his Stun Pistol, and nods at his partner who does the same, they move to cover the entrance to the alley.

Straightjacket waits with MINOTAUR.

Coldwar stands ready with the team.

I'm assuming we are waiting for Ghost to update us on what's on the other side of the wall? Or should we assume he's relaying the info to us as the GM is relaying it to him?

Ghost, are you relaying it?

Ghost pulls his head out of the wall, then relays to the others, ”Team, the wall is a secret door. On the other side is a cramped room with another door and two men dressed as samurai. Let me check what’s in the next room, but get ready to strike.”

Ghost then invisibly walks through the first wall and heads to the door to walk through.

MINOTAR nods to Ghost.

"Agreement: Let us hit them hard and fast once Ghost relays what he sees. They probably are expecting us, but if we go in too cautiously, we may be too late to save the man we're looking for."

Ghost appears and says, "Okay, there are several more guards dressed as Samurai within a maze of tunnels, but I found where they are holding Mr. Yamashito. It looks like Yooso may have been the one behind the attempts on Mr. Yamashito's life, since John is chained up with his father. However, I can't say for certain that one or the other isn't involved as well. Apart from the samurai, there is also a woman in a green and white kimono, a scaled man who looks like a cross between a human and a lizard, and a man dressed in monk's robes. They're waiting for our attack, and expect to dispose of us. We have to hit our opponents fast and keep moving. I'll trigger the secret door. Everyone ready?"

I'm good. Wish I had a mini-gun or a tank, but I'm ready.

"Ready as I'm gonna be. " he says into the com.

"Um. Is there another entrance? Besides the one that they're expecting?" Coldwar asks a tactical question.

Turning to the ice-man to speak, MINOTAR avoids pointing or gesturing at the secret door in case the enemies were watching them currently.

"Instructional Tactics: Sometimes the best way to deal with an ambush is to head straight into it knowing it is a trap. Do you have another suggestion Coldwar?"

"Um. Is there another entrance? Besides the one that they're expecting?" Coldwar asks a tactical question.

To save Ghost asking the question and then having to wait while I answer it, no, there is only one way in.
