As Logg's raging song dies down and the blood stops burning in Methodios' ears, he suddenly feels his wounds much more keenly. The Chelaxian grimaces but manages to maintain his footing.
Oof. Down to 2 hp all of a sudden. Battle really does look all but won, though!

Mor'targh's fire burns the half-Orc witch, causing him to fall unconscious. You loot the bodies, but don't find much. Logg reminds you all it is time to go report in to the venture-captain.
You did find 6 potions of cure lights, and a scroll, so you are all healed up.

![]() |

Ping shakes his head and props himself up on one arm after one of his companions dumps the cure potion down his throat.
"That was an unfortunate ambush. I am glad to be walking with so many capable companions. And no matter what they say, I am glad of both of our bards. Why even in my unconcious dreams I felt inspired."
Getting up, he kicks over the body of the woman who nearly beat him to death with her shield.
"What prophesy were you talking about? What would drive you to such madness as to fight to the death when you were so clearly overmatched?" Ping wonders aloud.
At the venture captain
"Well, master Dreng. We do not have a bottle of wine to present to you, though I suspect you already knew that would be the case." Ping addresses the venture captain with a polite bow.
"Though I suspect all of our notes on our foray through Absalom are similar, I offer mine for you to review. Here you will see information about the secret room under the wounded wisp, which held the troglodytes. If there presence was actually unintentional, we may want to inform Gale, as there may be worse things to find their way through that tunnel. Of course, in that secret room was an interesting clue that led us on a merry chase throughout Absalom."
I'll defer here to others, don't want to steal the whole 'story-retelling'

Methodios wipes the potion from his mouth after he messily drank the healing draught.
"I agree, Ping," notes Methodios, "Most capable companions indeed. Maybe next time you'll stay conscious long enough to see what we're truly capable of!" Methodios elbows the archer in his newly healed ribs.
Assuming we don't get waylaid on the way to see Dreng...
"Ahem," Methodios clears his throat, determined to give a good accounting of themselves that Zarta Dralneen won't punish him, "Well, we found these papers guarded by some stinky troglodytes and... looted the tomb of some guy to get this coin. Umm... and it turned out we needed to put it in a wayfinder which showed us... ah, I can't remember... and then we went to the wall of names, or was it the gnome first? Oh, and we fought these strange demonic dogs after bashing his door in... should someone repair that?... and looted another tomb, but this one was without bodies and had some undecipherable books in it... did we bring them with us?... and then we had another fight - a good one this time! Something about a prophesy... and Logg and Theron were competing for 'best song'. I think Theron won, because I felt really bad after Logg's song ended."
Ah well, the last punishment was pleasurable enough I guess - in a painful kind of way. Methodios still hasn't managed to "walk right" since that one.

![]() |

"that was fun. Let's do it again some time! Except the yellow belly act...... Perhaps someone should stop the bleeding on those 5... the dwarf... he had his chance."
As to the eventual Venture Captain meeting.. Lady BroKhan will stand around with a smug look on her face... and think happy thoughts of the ale she's going to enjoy.

![]() |

Ping chuckles as Methodios stumbles through the debriefing, and chimes in with more exact details as he speaks, though he does his best to stay out of the center of attention.
At least I can contribute something to this expedition...
"You know, Methodios, I asked those miscreants several times what prophesy they were talking about. They were too lost in their delusion to answer us. Either that, or we killed them to fast."
Not that I saw all of it...

GM.Silbeg |

After surviving the ambush, you are able to leave the Shrine of the Failed and deliver Eylysia’s cache to the Grand Lodge.
As you are leaving, you hear a might cheer, as Sir Reinhardt attempts his entry into the Cathedral. He is pushing his mighty charger into a great speed, and at the last moment the horse leaps up into the air! The crowd gasps, as the hero flies through the air, but it is quickly obvious he has no chance of making it across.
The crowd disperses muttering things like, "Bloody idiot"
They find Drandle Dreng, who thanks them for your successful investigation. "Your careers as Pathfinders will be spectacular, I am sure. Please, please, let me know your success... and your failures. I am sure they will be informative, and entertaining. I am sure you will be receiving your assignments soon!
"Those of you who haven't completed your Confirmation, perhaps you should check in with Master Shane to see when your time will be. I am sure that you are ready!"
He starts looking in his pockets. "Now, where did I leave that bottle of wine?" he mumbles as he walks off.
Several days later, you each receives a missive summarizing some of the Society’s initial findings. See the final slide
Your recent investigations and recovery of agent Eylysia’s papers have already yielded results. Under my direction, a team of scholars has tracked down the long-retired Society ciphers the gnome used and translated many of her entries. Although many of these records present valuable leads, one is especially timely and exciting.
Several months ago, the Pathfinder Society recovered an incomplete relic called the Sky Key. Its missing components disappeared millennia ago, carried by dwarven refugees to the far corners of Avistan and beyond, and the Society has struggled to follow these faint trails to piece the potent device back together. It appears Eylysia may have found one of the pieces centuries ago! She writes of a visit to Tar Kuata in Osirion, where she not only met with the Iroran devotees there, but also the curious order of dwarven monks known as the Ouat. According to her journals, some of the resident dwarves’ ancestors arrived long ago from the distant north bearing a broken treasure of wire and steel. Based on additional context and several magical divinations, I have reason to believe Eylysia—and you—mayhave found one of the lost pieces of the Sky Key!
I have contacted Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir in Sothis to prepare for an xpedition. You have already demonstrated your resourcefulness by uncovering this information; when I assemble a team to travel to Tar Kuata, I hope you will consider joining the expedition.
Highest regards,
Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin
