Hmmm. Didn't they used to keep buckets of sand around theatres in case the stage lights caught fire? Not sure if that was still the case WWII.
Female Aasimar Dual-Blooded Sorcerer 1/Incanter 6 |Negative Level 1 | HP 17/26(31)| AC 22, T 18, FF 19, PAC 18, KAC 19 | Fort +5, Ref +7, Will +10 | CMB +3, CMD 15 | Perc +14 | Init +3 | Spell Points 11/13
Or water, or something, yeah. But the description made me think that putting it out with a few buckets wasn't an option.

Hence asking about the systems it does have. XD I don't have much in the way of magic fire-puty-outy, so I figured I'd look for a mundane solution.

So: if we're going to have a lot of conversations in german, what's the best way to do it?
Sage 7 (Neg Lvl: 1) | HP: 40/49 | AC: 25 / T: 24 / FF: 21 | Fort: +7, Ref: +11, Will: +12 | M. Touch: +3, R. Touch: +8/+11 (KB) | CMB: +3, CMD: 25 | Init: +8, Perception: +18
I like just putting arrows around text, <"like so">. It makes it pretty obvious that it's not "normal" (English) speech without requiring a bunch of extra typing or coding. XD
Male Human
Richard? You've got the focus in the scene, I figure it would make the most sense for you to respond first.
Orc thaumaturge 3 | HP 39 | AC 19 | F +8 R +6 W +7 | Perc +7
Agh, sorry for not picking up the ball. I've got some exams coming up making my life quite a bit more hectic than usual.
Male Human
Could I use a combination of Bluff and Stealth to slip out of the room and head for the truck?
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
For languages I'm ok with either system, as well as simply writing "speaks in German". When it comes to me, I'll likely run through Google Translate short-ish phrases and spoiler it underneath, but just write in angular brackets longer speeches.
@Leo: Certainly. Richard is giving you a distraction that you can use to slip away, but if you just disappear Stjepan is going to be suspicious when he notices. Of course, you may be far away by that time.
Male Human
Yeah, I need to bring this side mission to an end.
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
I'm not sure about who needs GM input: Leo and Richard are speaking, so are Tomasz and FLW. If you are waiting for something from me, please tell me.
Tomasz, I think that spoiler in FLW's last post was meant for you: what's the paper marked with? And is there any way to read it without touching?
Male Human
Oh, sorry, I guess I didn't make it clear. Leo is planning to take Richard back to Tomasz. His first instinct, quite frankly, to murder Richard and dump the body somewhere. However, he views Tomasz as his primary link to his commanding officers and thus wants to let the other man in on the situation.

Meanwhile, Titus is quietly waiting during the conversation and trying to keep an eye on things. XD
Sorry, I noted a real dearth of ooc text in my reading, and I didn't want to ruin that. I try to avoid putting ooc text in. I feel like the spoilers are less intrusive, and while if there is a lot of stuff I'll stick it in discussion that means people have to manually synch between two threads (and given the issues the site had recently could be problematic...)
How should I proceed in the future?

Sorry, I realized that I didn't answer this: I'd say that you can add ooc questions and remarks to me or the other players without problem, but spoiler heavy mechanics (like you did in the last post).

You guys had really better be glad Leo is not exactly sane in the traditional sense of the word...
I need a bit to think through this situation.

Ha, well neither is Richard. My apologies if he put you into a bit of a bind, his diminished amounts of sanity are beginning to show through as his necessity to act as such diminishes.
I'm sure we'll get along just fine. Hopefully.

I need to go back and double-check which code word Tomasz is operating under, but of one of the people below the attic could supply it he''d see it as the Laundry vouching for them

FLW used "affiliates", for what it is worth. Slipped in under the radar, though.
If he was listening in to the conversation below a bunch were slipped in as well.
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
The codewords are marked in the Campaign Info page:
UNDERGROUND STUDENT is the most basic Laundry-equivalent clearance level, referring to the knowledge of magic. All of you are, of course, cleared for it.
REVERSE CHARLEMAGNE refers to the joint operations of Laundry, Black Chamber and Razvedka: it's reasonable that all of you, since you are operating in extraterritoriality, are cleared for it.
RUTHLESS WIDOW refers to the infiltration team of which Leo and Tomasz are currently the only active members. They are the only two cleared for it.
ANTHROPOID AFFILIATE is the specific mission. Tomasz and Leo were cleared for it in the beginning, it makes sense that Katherine would be too, although I forgot to specify it in the introducing post, and Ada knows it through... different channels. Richard and Titus are not on official business, so they wouldn't know it.
Male Human
Well, Richard has unsubtly identified a habitual chameleon despite him operating at peak efficiency, that alone should have Leo putting a bullet in him. Now there is a mysterious woman claiming to have 'handled' a situation in a building where Leo left his last ally. It's not a good situation for someone paranoid enough to operate in the intelligence world to be in. I need to justify why Leo is not just going to write off this operation as compromised and bail out, probably after shooting Richard, whom the practically minded would see as a massive liability.
I'm just saying, from the outside this whole thing looks like a counter-operation has swept up Leo's team and everything is now borked.

If any of you have the chance, I highly recommend going and seeing Peter Jackson's And They Shall Not Grow Old. I just saw it myself, it was absolutely incredible.

I don't want to say the wrong thing; is this really the first mention of Heidrich?
Orc thaumaturge 3 | HP 39 | AC 19 | F +8 R +6 W +7 | Perc +7
Not sure. For what it’s worth, pretty sure I misspelled it, should’ve been Heydrich.
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
I don't think any of you had mentioned Heydrich, no.
Male Human
Would we have methods of verifying the integrity of relevant geasan? That would do much to allay Leo's suspicions.
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
Ugh, I have to stop forgetting to answer questions in the Discussion. Sorry.
You can assay whether something has tampered with a geas by using a Spellcraft check on a willing target. Usually, Laundry/Black Chamber/Razvedka geases are engineered in a way to lead to death before they are broken.
Also, if there's anything I can do to help you work together, please tell me.
Male Human
Alright, what are the parameters of our mission vis a vis outside help? Leo is paranoid out of what he feels is necessity. Having established protocols is going to help immensely. I want to get everyone on the same page as soon as possible because overt paranoia, while setting and character appropriate, does not make for a fun party experience.

Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
So, on a person-to-person basis:
- Katherine is a Laundry Operative: her geasas being untampered with, as well as her being briefed on the codewords of this operations, would be enough to make her trustworthy. You are too far from London for efficient communication, and it's quite likely that she may have been dispatched to assist you.
- Ada comes from a peculiar, foreign place. She somehow knows codewords that she hasn't been briefed for, and more about this mission than you are comfortable with. How and why to trust her is a real dilemma. What you can guess from her geasas is that they are not the kind that the Ahnenerbe uses. A good Sense Motive check could be a good starting point.
- Titus and Richard, having operated in the United Kingdom and/or the United States, will have their own set of geasas by the Laundry or the Black Chamber. As they are untampered with, you are assured that they are not acting against you. What their aim is, you will have to ask.
One solution could be to have Richard prepare and cast zone of truth: a Spellcraft check will assure that the spell is solid and can be trusted somehow.
I don't think anyone here has any ability to temporarily gain a magic talent, but if so, the Fate Sphere's Truth Word is also an appropriate effect.
Sage 7 (Neg Lvl: 1) | HP: 40/49 | AC: 25 / T: 24 / FF: 21 | Fort: +7, Ref: +11, Will: +12 | M. Touch: +3, R. Touch: +8/+11 (KB) | CMB: +3, CMD: 25 | Init: +8, Perception: +18
Well, if anyone knows where to buy a wand... XD Titus also has pretty good Sense Motive, but that would require having others trust him.
Combat Engineer Alchemist 6 | HP: 7/52 5NL | AC: 19 (21)P/19 (21)B (14 (16) Tch, 15 (17) Fl) | CMD: 19 (21) | F: +8, R: +11 (+13), W: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11 | Bombs 9/11 | SP: 12/13 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: 2 Negative Levels.
Wand, no, but there is a Rabbi in our acquaintance...
Combat Engineer Alchemist 6 | HP: 7/52 5NL | AC: 19 (21)P/19 (21)B (14 (16) Tch, 15 (17) Fl) | CMD: 19 (21) | F: +8, R: +11 (+13), W: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11 | Bombs 9/11 | SP: 12/13 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: 2 Negative Levels.

Unless we have something else to do.

If you want to take a closer look at Heydrich, the idea that comes into mind is infiltrating the local headquarters, either impersonating officers or by old-fashioned sneaking.
Or, if you prefer, we can do it more quickly with a skill challenge, go towards the fight and bring Operation Anthropoid to a conclusion.
Male Human
I mean, apart from being a monster straight out of urban legend, Leo is a skilled infiltrator.
I can go either way, honestly.
Sage 7 (Neg Lvl: 1) | HP: 40/49 | AC: 25 / T: 24 / FF: 21 | Fort: +7, Ref: +11, Will: +12 | M. Touch: +3, R. Touch: +8/+11 (KB) | CMB: +3, CMD: 25 | Init: +8, Perception: +18
Same here. XD Titus has a few... advantages... when it comes to infiltration.
Orc thaumaturge 3 | HP 39 | AC 19 | F +8 R +6 W +7 | Perc +7
Richard isn’t the best with infiltration, but he can probably call some backup and cause a distraction.
Combat Engineer Alchemist 6 | HP: 7/52 5NL | AC: 19 (21)P/19 (21)B (14 (16) Tch, 15 (17) Fl) | CMD: 19 (21) | F: +8, R: +11 (+13), W: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11 | Bombs 9/11 | SP: 12/13 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: 2 Negative Levels.
Sounds like a lot of support for infiltration.

Katherine is, oddly, not that great at sneaking. She's very good at some other stuff though, so it should work out.

I mean, I'm not complaining when we have artillery fire to cover us when things inevitably go wrong. o wo~
Back from holidays! Business should resume shortly.
So, to recap what I have understood from Gameplay: those skilled at infiltration will get into Prague Castle, a diversion team will be standing by in case things go south. Is that correct?
