Botting Juxian and Peribas to keep things moving -- we've got one day left. Kronug, I need a reflex save for your animal.

I'm going to assume Juxian kept the lifelinks up, but he didn't say anything about casting Shield Other on anyone. 575 and Peribas heal by 5, and Juxian takes 10 damage.

Darkpaw takes the brunt of the lightning bolt, but Peribas avoids most of it. Darkpaw takes 23, Peribas takes 11.

Using the cover from 575 and the earth elemental, Peribas rides towards Juxian. "My wolf needs healing," he requests, while lining up for two shots at the goblin. Unfortunately, both miss.

Juxian touches Darkpaw and warm, healing light passes into his body. Casting cure moderate wounds, Darkpaw heals 13 HP.

The shambling mound attacks 575 with both tendrils, but the savvy nagaji pugilist bobs and weaves to avoid them.

The goblin witch moves closer and focuses her gaze on 575. 575, please make a Will save, DC 16. On failure, your AC (and CMD) is penalized by 2 for 6 rounds. On success, this penalty only lasts for 1 round.

Vanya, I forgot something. Just noticed you moved into a water square.

Kronug spits his adhesive directly at the witch... only to watch her phase out of existence just before it hits and have it splatter over the trunk of a tree behind her. She phases back in and sticks her tongue out at him.

Kronug's raven's fire singes the spikes on the outside of the pod, but it seems to be made of very sturdy stuff and is not otherwise damaged.

Kronug, I don't see any way you could have moved to the spot you are at without walking through the water or moving over the dead boar. Both the water and the boar corpse are difficult terrain. If you step into the water you would be exposed to negative energy damage like Vanya just was. The closest you could get, due to the difficult terrain, would the the square I've moved your character to. Because of the boar, you could have avoided AoOs from the shambling mound if you moved through the boar's squares. If you think Kronug realistically would have walked through the water instead, make a fortitude save, DC 15. Failure results in 2d8 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 negative energy damage, while success reduces the damage to 2.

Did the spiky ball of doom appear to take the splash damage from the alchemist's fire?

Grand Lodge

LN Nagaji Brawler 6

OK, it seems to me that we should get a portal from a nearby tree, to the seed pod, and go all out on that. Especially now that we've seen how it affects the critters negatively.
The shambling mound moves slowly, and the goblin will have to wade through alot of muck as well, so they can't interrupt us too quickly.

Can we do that?

Open a portal from the tree beside Vanya, to the closest tree to the pod.

At which point, all of us but Juxian (who can still double move into it to get away from the bad guys) are a single move from entering the portal, with movement to spare for most for a single attack on the seed..

Admitedly, it'd drop us in the negative energy goop for a square, but its a 5' out of it.

Put a little green cube on the two trees I'm thinking.

You hit it, but it didn't take damage. It's an object and has hardness, and the alchemist fire wasn't enough to get through the hardness.

You can totally do that, 575. The distance of the portal is limited to 60 feet unless someone makes a DC 24 Spellcraft or Knowledge(nature) check, however, and Peribas is the only one with the capacity to do that.

***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***

Strands of purple energy whip across the battleground and begin to swirl above the remains of the giant flower. The continuous chant of the Twinhorn shamans reaches a fever pitch and then suddenly stops. After a breathless moment of silence, a loud reverberating boom echoes across the swamp as a column of purple energy pierces through the clouds, dissipating into the starry sky. Shouts of celebration begin to sound across the field as Medda makes her way to the heart of the blight. A shaft of moonlight shines on the site through the parted clouds as she rips through the withered roots of the blighted flower. Medda reaches in and draws out the shriveled remains of a female crusader. In stark contrast to the rest of the remains, her silvery breastplate glimmers in the moonlight. A grievous blow has scarred its surface where a golden engraved figure spreads out her wings. Trails of blood seep out from scars running across the figure. Medda lowers the remains gently upon a white cloak that a Twinhorn warrior has placed on the ground.

With a heavenly glow, the ghostly form of Ivvora appears in the clouds above. “She was my sister-in-arms against the vile Tar-Baphon. I now know that her sacrifice spared me all those years ago, as it will all of you in the days to come. Go with Vildeis’ grace and use this blessed plate to vanquish my hated adversary. Hurry back north, for the moment of Eshimka’s reckoning draws near!”

Medda looks up to the sky as the visage of Ivvora dissipates, the red phantom hand of Anok floating above her shoulder. After a moment, she kneels next to the crusader’s remains and carefully wraps them up in the white cloak, which is slowly soaked with red. She looks at the crowd gathered around her and speaks up. “We stand here triumphant, having rid this land of corruption. But this is a mere shade of the darkness that awaits us at the Solstice Scar! Fear not, for Vildeis’ blessing will guide our weapons to strike true and eradicate Eshimka for good!”

Medda motions for the Twinhorn warriors to raise the bundled remains on their shields as one of the honored dead. “Pathfinders, you have done much for my tribe and our lands, but I ask you once more to lend us your weapons so that we might end the evil that haunts Solstice Scar. What say you?”

This concludes Solstice Scar, Version C. Table GMs, thank you for all your hard work! When filling out chronicle sheets, please note that the house has earned the Fangwood Purifier boon.

Grand Lodge

575 watches the ritual with wide eyes, not entirely sure what the shaman are doing, but knowing its probably far beyond his understanding.

When the purple energy finally dissipates, he lets out a breath he did not realize he was holding, and smiles back at the Pathfinders nearby.

Blight struck at its heart
Age old evil driven away
We have done good here

Anything more is cut off, as the image of the dwarven paladin, Ivvora, appears before Medda off in the distance, talking of battles long past, and dangers coming close.

He seems particularly excited by events, and despite the dangers, seems eager to take the fight, at long last, to the evil behind it all, at the heart of the rift back in the Twinhorn's homeland.

As we came before
We will be there at the end
Eshimka will fall!
