Yay! Everybody is touching everybody.

After taking a moment Alexis moves to look around the room and then the next as the others move that way.

Perception the room we are in: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Next room: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

doesn't seem to matter what game the dice roller is not loving me at all :(


You search the rubble and remains of what was obviously once a well-stocked wizard's lab. While the golem destroyed most things, it was unable to do more to an iron wall safe than rip it out of the wall and smash tables with it. The lock is smashed, so, ironically, turning the handle is all that is required to open it. Inside are the remains of various glass vials (their potions long since spilled and spoiled), two wands (both cracked requiring mending spells to repair, one of web with 29 charges and the other of detect thoughts with 18 charges remaining) and a spellbook containing the following spells (all cantrips, alarm, break, cause fear, corrosive touch, crafter’s fortune, enlarge person, floating disk, grease, identify, interrogation, mage armour, magic aura, ray of enfeeblement, restore corpse, sculpt corpse, unseen servant, vanish, acid arrow, bull’s strength, false life, make whole, and shatter). The spilled potions ruined the latter pages, which used to contain more powerful spells.

So are folks resting or pushing onwards? If resting, are you holing up somewhere inside, or making your way outside to camp?

if we are resting, Daniel will expend all but one of his remaining charges of lay on hands. So two. Also, man, this would have been a field day for a wizard PC haha.

I can continue, or rest. If we rest, I vote somewhere we can keep our backs to the wall.

Assuming no objections to the idea of resting in the chapels with the doors locked...

You pass an uneventful night of rest in the chapels, with the tower feeling as still and silent as a tomb. Perhaps that bodes well for the last two floors.

what goes up most go down. Honestly I'd rather hit up the basement to keep anything, or one, from sneaking up on us from below and cutting off retreat. That said, I'll go along with majority vote

The door is not locked. Ty opens it slowly and peers inside.

Inside, you find two stacks of barrels (8 in total), sealed and covered in some manner of moss, and two bizarre contraptions you can only guess at. Each contraption once pointed out an open slit in the exterior wall, but the stone that magically sealed the tower must have shorn off the ends. Between each contraption is a platform of obsidian set into the floor and outlined with a circle of silver. Burning, without any evidence of fuel, is a man-sized fire. From within the crackling flames, comes a whispered voice: ”Release me!”

Creatures hit by a fire elementals attacks often catch fire.

This check is separate from the other spoilers and requires its own check. You can try one or both skills to make the DCs.

"But you haven't let me out yet!" the elemental protests.

"I told you they wouldn't," the elemental says.

"Douse yourself, lake face!" the elemental says.

"If they won't let us out, let's blow them up!" the elemental says.

"Good idea! Let us out now, or we'll fire one of these cannons. The backfire will probably take out this whole floor!" the elemental says.

"Hey, if it takes out the floor, it'll wreck the circle!" the elemental says.

"I told you that a hundred years ago, but you said let's wait another couple days for someone to come!" the elemental says.

"Go douse yourself!" the elemental says.

"Are you going to let us out, or do we blow you up?" the elemental asks, seemingly this time at you.
