I'm on the edge of my seat, I just want to know already! Good luck to everyone, I know you're likely as nervous as I am.

Sigh. Deep breath...

This was really hard. The applicants were all so good. Part of what makes this so hard is that I know that the people I'm not taking have made excellent characters, and spent a lot of time and effort putting them together. I sincerely hope that those I haven't taken will keep the characters they've made, and enter them into other PBP games, as they are all deserving.

My sole criteria for taking a character or not was how well or easily I could incorporate their background into the campaign storyline. Some characters seemed designed as if the player had foreknowledge of the campaign storyline (kind of creepy, in some cases actually), and others that, while fine characters, just didn't fit in as seamlessly.

In the end, there were six characters that fit the category of seemingly created to fit the theme perfectly, or had elements in the backgrounds that inspired ideas for events and plot development. While I had originally intended only four, the story options they presented we too good to pass up.

For everybody else, thank you very much for making this an absolutely miserable evening of hemming, hawing, and extreme guilt. If we should ever need replacement players, you'll be the first I call on.

I was looking to join as a female Taldan Teifling Illusist/Rogue 1/1, Mythic Dual Path Arch Mage/Trickster. I plan on going Arcane Trickster at later levels. Thoughts?
