[ooc]Sir Rollynd has to spend standard actions each round to keep his focus on the detecting. He would be able to attack this round, except...[/
Sir Rollynd prepares to attack, then whips his head around to a different part of the room. "It moved there!"
He points to an area far enough away that everybody has to spend a move action to get into melee range. You can also hear chanting very similar to right before the spiders appeared.
PCs can attack. Don't forget the miss chances.
Nazard
Alexis feels something connect with her short sword and hears a faint sigh of satisfaction as ...something...drops to the floor at her feet. The chanting stops and inky blood begins to pool at her feet.
Several seconds later, a hideous combination of human infant and horsefly materializes. The creature is near death.
Thanephos
Kardiv raises his bow and fires, imbuing the arrow with his now-standard sparkle of arcane power,
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Nazard
The thing is dead.
The torches set in both altars are continual flame torches (not sure if I had mentioned their presence or not). Alexis estimates that the gold from the hanging holy symbols is valued at 500 gp each (though the intact Asmodean symbol could be worth a lot more to the right buyer). The purple rugs on the floors are each worth 200 gp. The devils shredded the pages of the Aroden temple’s copy of the History and Future of Humanity to make a nest, but the gold and jewel-encrusted leather covers are intact and Alexis estimates their worth at 500 gp. A similarly adorned copy of the Asmodean Disciplines, displayed on one of the side tables, is completely intact, and worth 1,000 gp (more to the right buyer).

Rhylellia crouches next to one of the unopened doors, and tries to carefully slip her small mirror under the door to see in the room.

Moving back towards the rest of the group she whispers to them, “For a dilapidated abandoned ruin it has very little light coming through it’s external walls.” She mumbles, “The same cannot be said for the internal walls oddly. I wonder what the condition of the roof is?” Looking at Ty frowning, “Sadly we must again blindly move forward again.”
She puts the mirror away and pulls out her blade.

BOOM!!!!!!
Ty attempts to turn the handle, and flames shoot out from the lock, singeing everybody, and creating matching scorch marks to those on the west wall-albeit much fresher ones.
Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 fire damage, Reflex save DC 11 for half.
Sir Rollynd Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Oh, and the door is locked.
Nazard
The key you got off the imp doesn't work in either north or east door (though a quick check confirms it opens the two doors to the chapel area).
However, upon pulling out that key to try, someone remembers that you had found a similar heavy key in the study on the first floor...
Trying that key unlocks the north door.
Peeping cautiously through the door you see the remains of a wizard's lab, though it looks totally trashed by someone very strong and very angry. You can't see the whole room yet, though you can tel that it mirrors the shape of the dual chapels.
I'll post a map tonight. Who's going in first?
Nazard
Ty makes his way into the room, bringing some light to this dark place, and revealing a scene of massive devastation. Lab benches and tables have not only been thrown everywhere, but many of them have been smashed into flinders. Dusty broken glassware crunches underfoot. Bookcases, apparently attached to the walls, remain upright, but their shelves are smashed, and books torn and scattered everywhere. A darkwood cobra, similar to the one you fought below, has seemingly been thrown against a bookcase with such force that its fangs have stuck into the wood, and the construct, now lifeless, simply sticks out from the wall like some macabre ornament.
Amid the destruction, an iron chest, dented but unopened, lies on the floor of the north wing of the ruined wizard's lab. Bits of bone and armour are scattered throughout the debris, including a human femur snapped in two.
A faint sound of regular grunting comes from around the corner, and Ty is soon able to get a visual on a large humanoid, standing 8-feet tall, with putrid green skin, seemingly stitched together from a variety of humanoid body parts. Large gaping wounds cover its body, though no blood or gore ooze from the openings which look like sword cuts, festered with age. Broken shafts of arrows protrude from its chest and forehead.
As your light touches it, it instantly stops its mindless grunting. The creature locks gaze on you with cold, lifeless eyes, and its face curls into a rictus of snarl. With a mighty bellow of rage, it lunges for you.

On the map, where is the creature?
Seeing Thanephos' arrow bounce off, Ty asks Arqueros to bless his weapon, again, and moves to put himself before the creature.
Another Holy Strike Blessing on Ty's spear.
Ty Purgest
Weird! I know I put the creature on, because I had to resize it. Oh well. Should be there now.
No worries. And I think that where you placed Ty on the map is fine.
Daniel Proudmore Rose
Daniel stares in disgust at the horrid, fetid creature. He reaches out with his senses to determine if this creature is evil, or merely a mindless creation. Then fire into it. either way, it was to be put down.

The electricity hits the creature, and you watch as a tiny, minute wound in the area actually closes over.

Sir Rollynd moves forward, but taking his time to pick through the debris, he can't attack this round.
The creature moves forward and swings its massive fists.

Ty takes a hit that shakes him to his core, but he's still standing.
Sir Rollynd catches a fist square in the gut and goes flying across the room, slams into the other door, and lies still, disappearing from view amidst the debris.
PCs are up!
Ty Purgest
Using absorb blow to reduce the damage of that last attack by 5. This is an immediate action.
Gritting his teeth through the pain, Ty plants his feet and stabs the creature with his spear, but he is too stunned to put his full strength behind the strike.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Also, Ty will grant his Shield Bearer bonus (+2 trait bonus; free action) to the next adjacent ally that the creature attacks.
Daniel Proudmore Rose
Thank you master for these arrows..
Daniel draws two of the 5 durable adamantine arrows gifted to him by Darien before he left. he uses one surge of mythic power to fire his bow faster than possible.

Daniel's arrows both cut through the creature's hide like it wasn't even there, doing significant damage to the monstrosity.
Rhylellia safely makes it to Sir Rollynd's side. He's still breathing, but is bleeding out of his nose, mouth, and both ears. If he isn't stabilized soon...fortunately, while crouching low, the debris offers you some cover.
Daniel Proudmore Rose
Daniel draws another of the precious metal arrows and fires again, aiming for the beasts head.

If my math is correct, then the golem died before Daniel used another adamantine arrow. If my math is not correct, I don't see that we ever got Rhyellia's damage here, and Alexis' last kukri attack would be one point higher due to inspire courage. Anyway, assuming the golem falls...
Ty moves to Sir Rollynd and heals him.
Fervor class ability: 1d6 ⇒ 1
If the golem is still up, then Ty will be attacking, instead.
Nazard
Daniel's arrow takes the creature right in the face and it falls over with a massive crash, nearly taking out Alexis in the process (and since they're durable, you have no trouble retrieving you special arrows.
Ty is able to stabilize Sir Rollynd, but some serious healing will be needed for him and others.

If the Golem is down she will calmly wait for the others to be ready to move on from a seated position on the floor.
Letting herself slump down to it on the ground Alexis takes a few moments to catch her breath and curse her foolish nature.
