Leeoli's sense of comedic timing is unparalleled.
Quite the striking scene, bold heroes!
Would you guys mind (and some of you have already done this) putting your initiative in your statblock? I try and remember it every time, but I'm getting old.
Orc Fighter(Twohanded Fighter) 6 (HP:69/69; AC:21 T:11; FF:20 ) | ;Init:+1)
Wait, what is the ladder that was directly in front of us?
That's a great question....but from what I gather that leads down. The maps in the module don't really say which ladder goes where, but once you see the layout of the floor above, it'll make sense. So, apologies for not marking it, but that ladder goes down. I'll fix it on the map.
Orc Fighter(Twohanded Fighter) 6 (HP:69/69; AC:21 T:11; FF:20 ) | ;Init:+1)
So. the ladder up is down on the floor below us? Why don't we just go down there then?

Could I just use my acrobatics check to jump down onto the ground, attacking the worker on the ground and leaving the one up top for Leeoli?
On the other hand, maybe a better tactic is to leave Gur and Dura to the ground level while Leeoli and I stay on the vats. Neither of us are going to have any trouble making those Acrobatics checks to move.
Orc Fighter(Twohanded Fighter) 6 (HP:69/69; AC:21 T:11; FF:20 ) | ;Init:+1)
Probably a good idea, Gur is still going to grouse about it later.

No, all of the ladders go from this level - the one by you and the other one noted go down. The one to the east of you goes up. There are no ladders that go from the bottom level below you all the way up to the top level above you
Yes, sure can Rufus

My fellow gamers/adventurers: I hate to have to say this, but I think I’m gonna have to bow out of my PBP games. We all know how real life can rear its ugly head, and I’m just not finding the time to work on my online hobby these days. I can barely keep up with reading posts, let alone posting any actions on my own, and I’d rather not limp along in some half-ass fashion without being able to give the time and energy that these games and our characters deserve. I wish you all the best and thank you for including me in your stories. -Rob
Thanks for letting us know Rob; sucks that you can't pursue what you like, but I'm sure we all get it, given our own busy times. You're always welcome, should you wish to come back. Otherwise, best of luck in everything!

I've enjoyed playing with Dura! Sorry to hear you can't continue, but I definitely understand where you're coming from. Take care!

Totally understand where you are coming from Dura. Take care, and as far as I am concerned you are welcome back any time.

but, can the party still use your flat while you are away?
:)
So...guys, after this you'll be down Dura and as far as I can tell Zazaria. They'll go off into the town to ply their own trades, leaving an opening should they come back.
Going at this with Leeoli, Gur, and Rufus would be quite fun - a massive damage team, but if you run into a ton of incorporeal undead, you're toast. So...shall I put a call out for a new addition?

Ok can Leeoli reach the next vat to attack
With long arms, sure can!

I'd be glad to have new players.
Okay, I'll put out an invite. Leeoli, you can change your action, based upon Rufus flattening your target.
If Leeoli can reach the next guy can I just reuse the roll?
Sorry, actually Rufus is nauseated, so can't attack. So, Leeoli's attack will go through.

Oh I thought I had made my save that second time, or is the effect longer in duration?
Ah, I see it...so, I had figured that you were moving on your first round in the area. If not, that's fine, but then Leeoli and Gur would also need to take the second check for nausea, just like Rufus did. That also would have given the enemy a free round, which really wouldn't matter too much for the guys down here - they can't surround you or get any better positioning anyway.
If that's what everyone wants to do, Leeoli and Gur please roll the 2nd Fort save.
Alright, hope this is the right spot. Hello! I will hopefully be joining y'all through Carrion Crown and look forward to meeting and brainstorming out some character ideas with everyone.
It sure is, MrMantis, and welcome! Let us know what you're thinking; the backstory will be a bit of a trick, as we'll be working you in mid-adventure, but we'll work that out.
Thanks!
Alright!
When I last actually got to play Carrion Crown (I think we got to the prison before it stalled) I ran an inquisitor, which I like as a class because of how toolbox-y it is, and that's not even getting into archetypes. I have a 'go-to' build that's an inquisitor/sanctified slayer of Sarenrae; they play similar to a rogue but with additionql tricks and divine spells - it's just a question of thematically fitting the campaign.
If I dig into my character box I also currently have a vigilante if the class is allowed and a couple of magus builds, mostly gish support but useful in their own way.
And not to drown everyone out with a million more ideas I do have a fractured mind spiritualist debuffer build, which might be thematically on point but can be a bit much even for the AP.
Orc Fighter(Twohanded Fighter) 6 (HP:69/69; AC:21 T:11; FF:20 ) | ;Init:+1)
Sarenrae inquisitor would fit in well with the soon to be paladin of Damerich.
I do like that build and the backstory she has is build-around-able, which will help a lot given how late to the party any character built will end up being.
Which I should ask, will I still be picking a campaign trait?
Sounds good MrMantis! You can take one if you like, but don't have to. If you do take one of them, the subject of them should be Judge Embreth Daramid, not Professor Lorrimor. We're going to work that relationship as a tie-in.
That may mean, Gur, that you know her, in some manner, if you so choose.
HP 43/43 | AC 16 T 11 FF 15 | F+6 R+6 W+2 | Init +1 Perc +8 | CMB +7 CMD 18 | Mutagen 1/1 | Spontaneous Healing 2/2 | Preserve Organs 50% | Loot Sheet
Welcome MrMantis! With our cleric and oracle stepping away we're short on divine magic, so I think inquisitor is a nice choice.
Human Inspired Blade 1 Empiricist 4 (Current HP:42/36; Current AC:23 T:15; FF:18 ) | ; Remaining Panache: 5/5; Inspiration: 5/5; Init:+7)
Well I can definitely build her up and have something for GM and the rest of y'all to meet, but I wanna get it out of the way in that inquisitor is more like a divine bard. She has the divine spells, but she can't do what a cleric or oracle can.
No worries; whatever you'd like to make!
We have two others possibly coming in as well, so back to a big party, which we haven't had for a while now.
Hello all.
Thinking about joining up if a position is open.
What roles is the party lacking?
I'll have something for y'all after work tonight then. Definitely an inquisitor, most likely a sanctified slayer, gotta work on how to tie her to the judge.
GM I'll be sending you a PM later on
Hello all, looks like you could use a Rogue. I think I have something that should fit.
Thinking of a cleric of Pharasma.
My other inclination would be an arcane caster
Okay, so I'm working on finalizing the little details, but so far for everyone's perusal, Brianna (Inquisitor/Sanctified Slayer)
Rescued from the gallows as a young woman and taken in by the Dawnflower's faithful, Brianna grew into a dour and devout follower as she used the skills she'd learned as a guttersnipe to great effect, becoming a skilled infiltrator and clandestine operative.
Having wandered through Lepistadt before and returning to follow on a vague rumor, Brianna seeks out Judge Daramid for information on stranger activities happening in the darker corners of Ustalav.
Name's kinda a placeholder and might be changed.
It's a little bare but I wanted to leave room to work in leveling and any potential links to others as well as the judge. GM I'm just subbing the judge in for the professor regarding the campaign traits, correct?
I dig it MrMantis, and thanks for the tie-in to Daramid; we'll work off of that, and yes, please. The links to the Professor are kind of stale given the completion of book 1 - I'll go over that in your initial meeting with Daramid. JoshB and MrStr4ng3, if you guys could do that as well, I'd appreciate it...makes it a smoother transition in. If you do want to have a true link to the Professor or, perhaps his fetching daughter, feel free...we'll think of a way to get you in.
Cleric of Pharasma would be awesome, and a fine replacement for Zazaria, who will be bowing out or perhaps dying in their current mission. Beyond that, rogue or arcane caster would both be great; perhaps arcane needed even more. But, lets see if the current cast has any preference - guys?
20 point buy, standard WBL?
Okay, well, today has been a day, but at least some stuff got done.
So, for GM to check, Inquisitor Cassidia Tomanasile (I changed her name)
Cassidia Mythweaver Sheet
I still need to buy her equipment and do her spells and wanted to ask/clarify a few things before finishing up -
1. Is it just 2 traits or can we take a drawback for a 3rd trait?
2. How is HP being calculated?
3. I might have misread the recruitment thread, one of my feats is blank as I want to ask if a 3rd party feat is allowed.
4. I've chosen 'Chance Savior' as my campaign trait but I'm not sure it fits thematically with the judge, and if you like I am all for brainstorming a more thematically appropriate meeting.
Alright! I have a whole bunch of stuff to handle still but at least the meat of the stats are up and ready and there's a whole lotta room for fluff and such. Comments and suggestions welcome.
Thanks MrMantis, I'll take a look.
For the questions:
1. You can take a drawback for a 3rd.
2. Max 1st level, then half+1 or roll for ensuing levels.
3. Which feat? I'll more than likely allow it.
4. We can make it work, I'll send you a PM with details
Thanks!
Oh dang it I completely forgot.
This feat here. It's not broken in and of itself, but PoW always falls under GM discretion.
I'll probably take the half+1 for HP. Does that include my CON modifier?
No worries; I'm fine with that feat.
That does not include your CON; that would be additional

Silas is a priest of Pharasma from the Gravecharge Cathedral in Lepidstadt.
He works as a mortician in Lepidstadt, helping prepare the newly dead for their final journey into the afterlife. He also serves as a grave guard, watching over the cemetery to protect it from necromancers and the undead.
He has assisted in several murder investigations with Judge Daramid, aiding him magically via Speak with Dead spells. He has also aided the court by performing burials for executed criminals.
He is a tall human, over six feet in height. He wears a gray surcoat over mail, and when expecting danger he adds a set of half plate for added protection.
He carries a heavy, flanged mace at his side and a string of prayer beads wrapped around his left wrist.
