Tha stones fer sheit" mutters Hmir as his runs a greasy finger over the rough walls.
With a grunt the dwarf takes a pull of fermented goats milk from his drinking horn.
Shuddering the barbarian gives a wincing smile.
"Tha's the stuff ri there"

Delric remarks, "Delightful place down here, you certainly keep the the venture captain's vintage wine in an out of the way place."
The magus tries to step only the the most sound looking boards.

GM.Kashka |

The party looks at the plank warily before they begin crossing the makeshift bridge.
There are no alternative boards to step on. Everyone please describe your crossing of the bridge

![]() |

Tera waits until there is no one else standing on the plank, and then gingerly steps on it carefully testing with one foot before she puts her entire weight on it, and commits to a full step.

![]() |

Hmir looks at the span takes a few steps back and gives a grunt as he bounds over the gap. He lands with a small hop and settles back into his typical muscled stance.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
*burp*

GM.Kashka |

Tera bravely steps onto the plank first. The wood groans beneath her step... but she carefully crosses one slow step at a time.
As she reaches the other side, she is bumped into as Hmir leaps past her.

![]() |

Delric watches Hmir effortlessly jump across the gap, so he too jumps the gap to the right of the plank using care to do it carefully.
Take 10 to use acrobatics to jump for total of 11.

![]() |

Lyran takes his time as he crosses the plank bridge a safe distance behind Tera.

GM.Kashka |

Kim, being small, carefully crosses the bridge safely. Heryn points to a certain bottle in the wine cellar as your goal. AS Hmir reaches out to take the bottle... the wine rack slides back into a short tunnel that leads into a hidden room...
A sturdy silver chain jutting from the ceiling ends in a glowing orb that radiates yellow light across the rectangular room. A simple desk of polished wood, stacked with documents and scattered notes, shelters a pair of wooden chests against the south wall. A series of cracks along the eastern and western walls form makeshift entrances into exposed caverns.

Delric comments, "Well this just got more interesting? What do we have here? The Elf Magus looks over the papers on the desk.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Apparently he finds a laundry list.

GM.Kashka |

Heryn shrugs, making no effort to follow the group. She is content to keep an eye on the wine cellar.

"So a desk full'o manling scribbles, some chests, and cracks ta carverns. Tha dwarf chooses stone o course."
Hmir walks up to the cracks and peers into the comforting darkness beyond the illumination of the make shift chandelier.

"This package collection is certainly becoming more interesting than i previously was expecting. I wonder how long this has been down here for?" says Lyran he he starts to walk towards the desk.

"Urgh i hate swarms. Maybe Janira or one of the other Pathfinders upstairs can help with them?" says Lyran as he starts to follow the barkeep back towards the main room of the tavern.

GM.Kashka |

As the party flees the swarm, Janira suddenly appears behind them and blasts a wand at the swarm that roasts the majority of it and scatters the rest.

Janira the Bard |

"Is everyone all right? I heard the screaming and came as fast as i could."
she looks around briefly "I hope this reminds you of the Master's class on 'Equipment for the Pathfinder, Be Prepared'. Always pack a way to deal with swarms and heal your wounds. vial of acid, alchemist fire and wands of healing are the difference between life and death."
She shakes her head disappointed in her friends....

![]() |

"Thank you for your assistance Janira. Your timely arrival has most certainly saves some lives this day." says Lyran, the relief he feels clearly showing in his slightly trembling voice.

![]() |

I forgot to go shopping before we went on this mission." Tera moves near everyone and away from the swarm. "Come close everyone." She channels. Then she pulls out her wand and proceeds to tap Hmir and Lyran with it a few times.

"Right fine o ya dark one."
Looking over at the disappointed halfling. "Yer Right ta be cross miss. I will go fetch a pair of flasks now."
With that Hmir trots off to quick purchase some swarm deterrents.

![]() |

"Thanks Janira, we owe you one."
Delric uses his wand to cast infernal healing on himself and then goes to check to make sure the bats are gone before continuing to check the desk's papers.

![]() |

Lyran starts to head back towards the newly uncovered secret room.
"Well lets go see what else we uncovered, apart from the swarm of bugs that is. Do you wish to join us Janira? This could well be a major find for the society!"

![]() |

Hmir will easily hop back over the span and join the group around the desk. "I got me some acid flasks if'n we encounter anudder o them... tings"

GM.Kashka |

Janira wishes you well but cannot join you on this adventure.
You can properly examine the files on the desk. The papers chronicle the personal exploits of Selmius Foster, a famous Pathfinder whose name you can recognize from their training as Pathfinder agents.
Most of Foster’s more infamous adventures appear here in varying amounts of detail, but it is evident there is another investigation he had been pursuing before he died: the lost records of a Society agent named Eylysia.
see slides 4-5

![]() |

Lyran skims over the documents and takes care to read the letters carefully.
"What kind of explorer would keep their findings to themselves? That is extremely selfish of them! No wonder Selmius Foster was investigating them." he let the others check over the documents before talking again.
"I believe that the Venture Captain must have known this was here and wants us to investigate this further." he says, clearly excited by the idea of investigating an old mystery.
"I see three possible routes to investigate. First, this stonemason may well have been buried with something that could help us. Second, maybe this gnome, Fimbrik, is still in the city and can be questioned. Finally we should take a look for these names that Elysria added to the wall. Does anyone have a preference for which we should check first?"
