Vivian Deberth |

I'm sorry, I don't want to hog the spotlight.
It's just that Vivian seems to be the most easily-talkin"-to-others of the group, has nearly every skill needed (with good bonus and lucky rolls) to lead the investigation, is a rogue (so she can figure how a burglary should work)....
I don't want to play alone!^^

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

Hi, folks.
I think I'm ready to return, and I'm hoping to resume daily postings. Realistically, my rate will probably be 4-5 posts a week.
Thanks for your patience and understanding with me.
Now to read through the past six weeks of the gaame to get caught up...

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

I know I just started playing again, but tomorrow I'm flying out to Los Angeles for a few days. After tonight, I will likely not be posting again until Monday. (I've never been to California before-- I'm really looking forward to this trip!)

Sophie Kundegard |

I am doing a special training thing at work. It is pretty disruptive to my normal schedule, so I don't know what posting will look like for me this week. Bot me if necessary.

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

Sorry for disappearing again! Between deadlines at work, lots going on in my personal life, and a last-minute trip to Boston, I just haven't been able to carve out time for gaming.
I think things are starting to calm down a bit, and I'll be able to resume daily posting.

Vivian Deberth |

So, supposing we're using Diplomacy to present evidences (Bluff indicates lying, not something wise to do at a trial), here are our "best" talkers-Remember a good RP is better, and funnier, than any roll!
Amara +10
Vivian +7
Stefan +6
Sophie +5
Tara +3
Bert +0

![]() |

I think the blood and bleeding is the best evidence and something we have to get across. Amaria can present it factually well and simply take 10 for a 20 which should be enough to earn us some solid points.

Sophie Kundegard |

Should have mentioned sooner: I am at a family reunion this weekend.

GM Harker |

Okay, to expedite things, let's figure this out in here.
Defense Witnesses:
Amaria
Evidence to be presented: Flesh golems don't bleed, but the creature in the cemetery was seen bleeding on the graves.
Vivian
?
Tara
?
Bert
?
Sophie
?
Stefan
?
Feel free to discuss it and look over Vivian's post on October 19th (EST) for some ideas. I've also include my summary again in the spoiler below. If your character is not interested in testifying, please let me know so we can eliminate you as a witness for this day of the trial.
• The events occurred approximately 1 year ago.
• The villagers state that The Beast was abducting people at night. A mob lead by Lazne managed to wound the Beast in town, then chased him to the local Boneyard. The Beast was attacked by something like alligator and bled on the graves, tainting them. The Beast then disappeared under the water by the alligator-like creature and was presumed dead. Deduction made by group: Flesh Golems don't bleed. Vivian saw no evidence of scars on the Beast consistent with an alligator bite.
• Six graves in the Boneyard are missing bodies.
• The remains of a potion of Darkvision was found in a campsite near the graves. Deduction made by group: Flesh Golems have Darkvision already.
• A coracle was found hidden on the south side of the Boneyard island, dried blood was found at the bottom of it, as well as an oar, a moldy leather travel bag with a damp artisan’s outfit, and what appears to be a detached human face.
• Attached to the coracle is a man-sized sack with blood stains, it contained some rope, a gag, a rusted lantern, a trio of heavy knives, and a rusted shovel.
• Hidden in the same general area of the boat was a leather-bound case filled with fine surgical tools, made of silver with amethyst handles imprinted with a raven.
• The raven symbol on the handle is the maker's mark of Zbraslav Hora and Sons. Hora sold it to Vladka Kostel who works for an auction house named Ledov’s Chirurgery Merchants. Kostel gave a description of the man who bought it there, but you have not yet tracked him down.

Sorry, Ill be less active in the next two days: its my birthday tomorrow and my daughter's the next day.
I think that Stefan, with his background in Lepidstadt, should be the one talking about the medical instruments. Just my two coppers.
I can speak about the empty tombs, or be used for a more decisive clue.

GM Harker |

Happy Birthday to Vivian's player.
Okay, so Vivian will present the information about the empty graves.
I need to know what Tara, Bert, Sophie, and Stefan are going to be presenting, if anything. I'm going to make Thursday the deadline to participate. Anyone that has not responded by then will be assumed to not testify on the first day so we can move on.

Sophie Kundegard |

Sophie can present on the Coracle

Dang. Missed the cutoff. My bad y'all.

Tara Eliade |

That's fine. I'm sorry that I have been so absent from posting, but I recently was promoted at work, where I went from part time (3-4 days a week) to full time and a manager. As I work in retail position, we are preparing for the holiday shopping season, and the game shop I work in has a abnormally large amount of foot traffic, since it is in the middle of downtown.

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

I don't normally plug these things, but there is a Humble Bundle of Pathfinder products, sponsored by Frog God Games, Kobold Press, and Green Ronin. $417 of digital books can be yours for a minimum $15 donation. It includes Rappan Athuk, Freeport: City of Adventure, Deep Magic, and a bunch of other books that are all well-worth their cover prices.
I already owned about 10 of the titles in the bundle, but I bought it anyway!

Bert Shieldworn |

Just a note/reminder to folks. Bert is designed to control the battlefield with the use of reach and his combat reflexes. He threatens a wide area and can use 3 AOO per round. Should make it so you all can ranged/spell enemies. I probably should invest in some sort of wand for enlarge, to control even more.

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

Question for the GM...
Are the Skill Unlock rules from Pathfinder Unchained and the Signature Skill feat in play? And if so, are they available to non-rogues?
I'm thinking of taking Signature Skill (Heal) at level 5...

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

On an totally unrelated note: I just bought my Paizocon 2017 4-day pass and preview banquet ticket.
This will be my fist Paizocon... and the first gaming convention I will have atteneded in over 25 years!
Is anyone in this group planning to go to Paizocon this year?

Sophie Kundegard |

I don't plan to go to PaizoCon. I will be lucky if I get to go to CppCon.

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

I'm traveling in New England right now, and my posting is going to be spotty through New Year's Day.
Of course, there's a Nor'Easter winter storm coming through this afternoon, and we may get stuck at the hotel for a while... which might make it more likely to post. We'll see...

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

Just when I think I'm back to daily posting, life gets weird. It might be Friday before I have a chance to get back into the Gameplay thread.
GM Harker: Please bot me as necessary.

Sophie Kundegard |

Sorry for the delay in posting. I expected to catch up over the weekend but spent literally all weekend helping my parents move. I hope to be caught up by the end of tomorrow.

Tara Eliade |

Hello all, sorry for going dark. The FLGS where I am a manager at had to deal with a case of harassment involving a customer heckling one of our employees and all of the dungeons and dragons DMs deciding to walk out on us. It has been a very hectic and stressful month. As things have finally settled down on my end, I am able to put more attention into my play-by-post and wanted to let you all know that I am still active and interested in this campaign.

Dr. Stefan Von Herzog |

I just want to let everyone know that I'm going to San Diego for a few days starting tomorrow. My posting will likely be rather erratic until Tuesday. GM Harker: Please bot me as necessary.

Tara Eliade |

Sorry that my posting has been spotty. My sister was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and was in ICU for a few days. While she is still in the hospital, she is doing much better. Please feel free to bot Tara as necessary.

GM Harker |

In celebration of my birthday, St. Patrick's Day, everyone gets 1 free reroll of any die from now until April 16th at 11:59 pm EDT. You can use this reroll if you wish after you know the result of your check but not after I've told you whether or not you succeeded. Offer not valid if you have a reroll of that die already.

Sophie Kundegard |

Happy Birthday, GM Harker!

Bert Shieldworn |

Bert agrees with stefan about leaving them and either coming back or letting the villagers do it. He doesn't really feel like he gets a big vote in the matters of religion though, which is why he only nodded.

Sophie Kundegard |

Bert, Stefan, and Sophie makes 3 votes for coming back later
