Vivian steps gingerly onto the slide...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
and slides down it like a pro. When she gets to the bottom, she gently sets tick tock down.
Go help our friends honey!
handle animal: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Tick tock waddles forward to the mean statue and tries to take a bite out of it.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
grab: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Critical bite?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
crit damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The vicious little crock sinks his teeth into the thing, ripping and tearing as he does so.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 3 = 2
Well, that's to be expected, I suppose.
Asgoro falls to the bottom of the steps, getting up quickly when he notices the statue begin to move. Noticing Tyrek jump into position, Asgoro moves to flank the foe.
Move action to get up, then another move action to move adjacent to the wood golem.

Vivian slides down while Tyrek hits the dirty floor at the bottom of the stiars. Tyrek gets up and prepares for combat. Tick Tock bites the wood golem and jews at a big junk of wood. grab not successful Asgoro follows Tyrek's example and also Karlos falls prone.
I moved Vivian's and Tick Tock's tokens

You notice a small keyhole on the back of the golem.
Grazyra swings her sword at the creature, but misses. Morthak stays back, he feels weak.

The wood golem attacks Tyrek with its shields.
Shield slam left: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

As the golem turns to attack Tyrek, Asgoro spies the golem's back. "It looks like there's some kind of keyhole on its back!" Asgoro shouts.
Not letting the sight deter him, he slices across the golem's body.

Tick tock misses the golem. Karlos shows Tyrek that swordplay is far superior to wildly slashing about with an axe. Grazyra and Asgoro then show some more swordplay.
The golem turns to Asgoro and slams both shields in the direction of Asgoro's head. One shield moves in from the left, the other from the right and with a loud BANG the connect with each other as Asgoro ducks down under them. Morthak cheers the pathfinders on from the back of the party.

Tyrek takes another swing, with a modicum more control this time, and lands a mighty blow!
Assuming that this round will do it...
As the fight ends Tyrek shrinks, almost literally. His axe droops and he moves slowly, almost lethargically for a while as the rest of the group pick over the golem.
| GMG |
Tyrek shows the others that there is a reason that lumberjacks use axes to fell wood. What works on trees also works fine on wooden golems! The shields that the golem was using can be easily removed now that it is destroyed.
You notice two wooden doors: one in the north end of the room and the other at the south end.
These shields function as tower shields; they are poorly designed and weigh 60 pounds each. Anyone wielding one is considered flat-footed in addition to the –2 penalty on attack rolls suffered by all characters wielding a tower shield.
Vivian Nimue
|
Vivian moves to and picks up tick tock again.
That's a good boy! Such a good boy!
When she sees that Grazyra is struggling with the southern door, she muses.
Anyone good with locks? Otherwise we'll have to go north first.
| GMG |
The room smells of freshly chopped wood from the chips that have been chipped of the wood golem.
Tell me what you want to do please
Morthak Bonerattle PFS
|
Morthak steps forward, dumping his gear on the floor.
"Let me try this lock," he says.
Disable device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
"Dammit, hang on."
Can I try again? Take 10 or 20?
| GMG |
Morthak fails to quickly disable the lock. After taking a deep breath and taking his time he manages to open it! The small chamber behind the door has a table on the opposite side of the room. On top of this table are a number of items, each with a small note attached. The notes have your names on them plus a short description what the item is.
Asgoro
A potion of bear’s endurance and an oil of magic weapon
Grazyra
A potion of eagle’s splendor and an oil of magic weapon
Karlos
A masterwork longsword
Morthak
A potion of lesser restoration and a potion of cure light wounds
Tyrek
A masterwork greataxe
Vivian
a wand of produce flame(10 charges) and a scroll of barkskin
Seeing that there is no exit from this room you open the northern door in the previous room. You see a long corridor that is flanked by a row of human statues, set into alcoves on each side. The statues look like Kassen, and each one holds a longsword out in front of it. The blades of roughly half the statues are wrapped in leather padding.
Vivian Nimue
|
Vivan smiles as she tucks the wand and scroll away.
Aww... how sweet of them.
As they move to the new hallway, Vivian looks at the statues warily.
After the previous golem, forgive me for not trusting statues... perhaps my mighty scaly warrior would go first? She bats her eyelashes at Tyrek.
Tyrek Archaos
|
"Sssince you asssk ssso nissely." Tyrek replies, with a grin, exposing numerous teeth as he does so.
He hefts his new axe appreciatively as he goes forward.
"Why are the ssswords wrapped?" He asks, just before stepping into the corridor.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
| GMG |
It could be that the pressure plate that Tyrek discovers has something to do with that. But maybe it is just a harmless pressure plate and you can dance on it...
The swords of the four northern statues are wrapped, while those closer to you are not. Pressure plate marked on the map
Tyrek Archaos
|
"There issss a plate here." Tyrek points with a clawed foot. "I do not think to ssstand on it isss a good idea."
Morthak Bonerattle PFS
|
Morthak examines the plate and tries to disconnect it.
Disable: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
"Well, you could just step over it, I suppose."
Morthak looks to make sure there isn't another plate in the spot where you would have to step if you stepped over this one...
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
| GMG |
Morthak works on the plate while the others stay on the other side of the door. Suddenly you all hear a "oh crap" from the halfling and you see eight swords slashing down. Fortunately for Morthak there are no statues next to him, so the swords descend to either side of him. He also sees no other pressure plates.
Those swords do make traversing the corridor more difficult though.
I need an Acrobatics or Escape artist if you want to move through the corridor.
Morthak Bonerattle PFS
|
Can I try again?
Tyrek Archaos
|
Equally can Tyrek press the pressure plate to see where the swords come down and then keep doing that regularly so the others can sneak through the gaps?
| GMG |
The swords are down and stay down. Moving past them is difficult without cutting yourself, which is why I need the acrobatics / escape artist.
Morthak: you failed your disable device check by 5 or more, which is why the trap triggered.
Tyrek: that would not help.
Vivian nimbly moves through the swords and Karlos thinks he can also do that. However he cuts himself on one of the swords while he was carefully moving around another. Nevertheless he also reaches the door on the other side of the corridor.

What can I say? I guess I'm just a natural...
Asgoro proceeds to "carefully" move through the blades, grunting as they cut into his sides. "That... could have been better."

Damage Asgoro: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Damage Grayza: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Asgoro might have been better of watching Tyrek instead of Karlos. He has not learned anything from the man. Meanwhile Grayza has also cut herself on one of the blades. Morthak is the last one that needs to go through the sharp blades...

Lesser Restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 3
That leaves me with 3 STR damage.
| GMG |
Morthak easily moves through the swords to arrive at the locked door. After checking it for traps he uses his considerable skill on the lock and opens it!
In the center of the room is a large pool of clear water, fed by a fountain on the wall above it. The fountain has a stone statue of a weeping maiden holding the slain body of Kassen, but his head has been broken off and is nowhere to be seen.
A voice booms out from the darkness, saying, “Magic is the key.” The voice slowly fades, leaving a dreadful silence. Your light sources show that there are two other exits from the room.
