Asgoro
|
Asgoro turns to Vivian. "They seem to be hungry, starving even. You'd think they had enough food... Vivian, could you, uh, communicate with them? I'll see what food I can give them."
Asgoro
|
I'll go ahead and do that as well, but considering the nature of the animals, I don't think this should come to combat. Asgoro will do so quietly, as not to spook the wolves into attacking, and encourage others to do the same.
Vivian Nimue
|
Vivian hisses at Asgoro.
Wake the others!
Tick Tock curls around her feet and gives a soft rumble.
Vivian holds out her hands sweetly and shapes her hands, speaking softly...
You all look so hungry... there is easy prey just over that hill... delicious veal, struck down... so easy to go munch on...
Wild Mischief, I can bluff an animal into thinking there is prey or food in another location. Book is not... super descriptive about how it works.
bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
They would need to make a sense motive against the bluff correct? I have never seen someone try to bluff an animal. Is Asgoro still going to feed them?
"Allure"

Asgoro

Reading the ability, that sounds like the case. The bluff check gets a -5 since the wolves are wild (unless they aren't...), so they have to beat a DC of 18, with the normal modifiers for unbelievable lies and such. If it does work, I don't see reason to get out food to guide them back over here.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Interesting. This type of druid would make an interesting mystic theruge with say a bard or a fey or sylvan sorcerer
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Wolf 1 SM 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
3 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
One of the wolves trots off while the other 2 glare at the party.
These are wild so the -5 would take effect
Vivian Nimue
|
Vivian coughs and tries again.
Look, you can tell we're not easy food right? I mean, look at just this little guy!
Tick Tock opens his jaw in a wide toothy grin.
And you see all this weaponry they have? Yipes! You'll get hurt, you poor darlings. I'm sure you can find some really good food if you just keep it up, but if you attack a bunch of people around a fire, you won't get the chance... come on pups, you know this is a bad idea, just turn around and walk away okay?
Wild Empathy Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
"Allure"
|
Being woken up and seeing the wolves, "Allure" slowly but deliberately goes and gets her club in one hand and wand of Color Spray in the other, ready to support the group as needed.
Morthak Bonerattle PFS
|
Morthak watches silently, and when the wolves are paying attention to Vivian, he tries to slip out of sight.
stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Wolf 1 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
wolf 2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
This time, the druid is able to convince the wolves to go away.
"Allure"
|
"So, you had to wake me up early because you were scared of a few starving wolves? Gee, thanks. Next time I'm goona take an earlier shift."
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
The next day, the PCs can
continue their journey through the Fangwood. Early in
the day, their trail leads them to the shores of the Gray
Lake, where they can refill their waterskins and stop for
a quick rest.
The trees begin to thin, revealing a field of short, green grass
that leads to the shores of a wide, calm lake reflecting the
overcast sky above. A dense fog hangs over the center of the
lake, obscuring the far side. Near the shore of the lake, a dark
form lies next to the water.
Tyrek Archaos
|
Thirsty, and glad to be out from under the trees, Tyrek makes for the waters edge, throwing a glance at the figure on his way.

Morthak Bonerattle PFS

Morthak moves forward to investigate.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
"Allure"
|
Drawing her all but useless club and wand, "Allure" makes her way forward with Morthak, only she doesn't try to be stealthy like he is.
Perception:: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Tyrek Archaos
|
Tyrek does as asked and approaches the body, trying to see if it has obvious wounds. Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 11. If he can he rolls the body over to examine both sides - using his axe as a lever.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
It looks like whoever this was has various puncture wounds on him, as if he was bitten by a large creature. The wounds are large and enflamed with the veins around them puffed out, he was poisoned.
Looking around uncovers a masterwork short sword
near the body and a coin pouch with 87 gp inside. The
coins look newly minted from the capital city of Tamran;
they bear the likeness of Forest Marshal Gavirk, nominal
leader of Nirmathas.
"Allure"
|
"Interesting. New coins. The sword, well, everyone needs to be armed. The new coins, well, how often do you see that?"
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Leaving the Gray Lake behind, the PCs must travel for
about 3 hours to reach the valley that contains the Crypt
of the Everflame. The trees in this part of the forest
are very old and quite gnarled. The weather makes the
journey even more miserable, as a cold rain begins to
fall halfway through this part of the forest.
The trail leads ever deeper into the Fangwood, through a
twisting maze of trees and confusing ravines. As it tops a
small rise, a broad valley spreads out before it, the opposite
side of which looks like a writhing serpent. Yet between the
two lies a steep hill sloping down into the valley. A cold rain
starts to fall, making the ground slick and treacherous.
Tyrek Archaos
|
Tyrek sheathes the sword through his belt but shrugs in response to the question about the coins. "Coinsss all the ssame to me."
------------------------
Perched on the rise Tyrek looks down. "Sssso the tomb is thissss way?" He asks, gesturing downhill. "Thissss will not be an easssy trip."
Asgoro
|
"I don't need the blade." Asgoro gestures to his scimitar. "Sigd will do me just fine."
"I'd worry less about the coins and more of the fact that something bit him. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that."
-----------------------
Asgoro nods. Go slowly, and make sure to fall back, not forwards."
Vivian Nimue
|
Vivian and Tick Tock seem to be in their element in the rain.
Tra la la la, rain rain stay all day,
rain rain never go away
tra la la la...
She looks at the slope and smiles.
I wonder if we could slide down! I bet that would be fun!
Morthak Bonerattle PFS
|
"A blade made for a man is too large for me. Besides, it is not the size that matters," Morthak grins.
Upon reaching the slick slope, Morthak looks down, and frowns.
"This one will be tricky. The rope will be helpful. Also, follow me and watch where I step."
Morthak leads the way down the slope, showing the others where to go.
I want to use acrobatics to navigate the treacherous slope, then use acrobatics to Aid others. If the rope gives a circumstance bonus that will help but these rolls are made without that, so factor that in:
Acrobatics Take 10: 10 + 8 = 18
Acrobatics Aid Another Take 10: 10 + 8 = 18
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
It looks like it will take a DC Acrobatic/Climb check to get down. You can get a +2 to the roll of you go slower but that will add an hr to the time it takes you to get down.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
The aasimar slips and slides all the way down taking 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 damage and 1d4 ⇒ 4 Dex damage from a sprained ankle.
