GM Grecko |

As you guys were discussing what you were going to do....
You hear load crashing and clanging of metal coming from the room below the fishery. Whomever is making the clattering noises does not seem to care that they're making a racket.
It is almost as if someone is dumping a sack full of random metal objects onto the ground.

Ryder Koss |

Ryder takes a moment to cast mage armor on himself. He then unloads and relaxes his crossbow, holsters it over his back, and takes 10 to climb down the knotted rope. 10 - 2 = 8 = success!
2/4 1st level spells remaining for the day. Since Mage Armor is an armor bonus, I presume the +4 does not stack with the armor bonus from his Haramaki? If so, Ryder's AC, with the +1 temporary dodge bonus from the Harrowing point, is AC 17, T 13, FF 14.
At the bottom of the rope, Ryder draws and loads his crossbow. In the future, if I don't mention it, Ryder normally carries his crossbow on his back, slung across one shoulder by a strap. In a situation like this where he clearly needs to make use of both hands, if he's carrying his crossbow, he'll unload and holster his crossbow, and draw and load it again as soon as he's able. Assuming we're off initiative. If we're on initiative, then I'll need to call out each of those, as there are move actions involved.
I moved us all down to the platform on the MAP, moving Loris ahead a bit to accomodate us all

Loris Rakain |

Loris sees Ryder cast a spell. "Good Idea" he says as he casts his own spell, Shield of Faith (+2 deflection to Armor).
"Everybody Ready?"
When they nod their responses, Loris opens the door spear at the ready, and steps inside.

GM Grecko |

You open the door to lower floor: The air in this large room is somewhat chilly and stinks of the river, no doubt thanks to a huge opening in the floor that drops away to the river shore five feet below. Several pilings emerge from the waters to support the roof above, with mossy ropes slung between them. In two places, rusty manacles hang from the ropes over the water. Two five-foot-wide walkways cross the hole’s edge to the other side of the chamber, where a collection of old cabinets, lockboxes, and piles of clutter are strewn about. Chipped porcelain plates, a cracked goblet, badly rusted silverware, an old wooden shield with a crossbow bolt embedded in it, the odd dinged helm, and other “treasures” litter the floor of this entire chamber. Three tables, stand empty on the north side, while just west of that a wooden door seems to provide access to a walled-off section.
Two empty sacks lay about the floor, its contents having been recently dumped along the narrow walkways. The piles of junk serve as Difficult Terrain (Look up the rules for difficult terrain HERE) I have marked the squares red that are considered difficult terrain. (I may use the term hindering terrain, it is the same thing as difficult terrain)
The first thing you notice is a sour-faced man with short blond hair in what appears to be expensive clothing that just happens to be a decade out of style. He has a wand at the ready, aimed towards the door. At his side, you see a mangy looking mutt of a dog with an obvious temperament towards the intruders.
Perhaps the most ominous thing in the room is the large hole five feet above the waterline. In a crocodile sits near the surface of the water, it’s eyes surveying the room. It doesn’t appear to be very aggressive.
Standing atop one of the empty tables, you notice is a jaundiced, bent corpse of a man, his eyes yellowed and skin speckled from age. He can be seen holding a crossbow towards the heroic intruders. He looks at each of you with a look of morbid disdain. ”That’s far enough!” He looks a little closer at the hero’s. ”Wait a minute, I remember you!.. I remember you all.”
If the Hero’s let Geadren continue talking…
You must be Ralof, I remember you from the trial. Of course I was in the crowd watching them take the blame for my murders. That laugh you heard when the verdict was read was me. Have they been hanged yet?
It has to be Vic’s kid. I’d recognize the spawn of that ugly moron anywhere. I slashed his throat when his wife double crossed me. You know what, he was the first of many double crossers who died at my hand.
Either way… Initiative time!
Ralof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Ryder: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Loris: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Gaedren & Gobblegut: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Yargin & Bloo the Dog: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
In order to make turns run smoother, If you have an animal companion, they will go on your initiative with you. This will help streamline what is already a time intensive process.

GM Grecko |

Gaedren Bellows out a quick laugh as he aims his crossbow. Not at any of the hero's but rather the complacent crocodile inside the pit.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Critical Hit
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Conformation Roll does not hit
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
A Crossbow bolt nails the Gator in the back, sending the captive reptile into a frenzy. He immediately starts snapping at anything close to the edge.
Gaedren uses a move action to reload as the gator lunges at a random opponent.
Alphabetical: 1d3 ⇒ 2 Ralof
The Gator clambers at Ralof. (he needs to make a climb check to reach far enough to snap at him DC15)
Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 He reaches high enough to bite
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 The bite epically misses even a flat footed Ralof
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 That woulda hurt :/
The Crocodile flops falls back into the water after just missing Ralof.
The Hero's are up next. Again, I don't mind what order you post in, just keep in mind the "Official" order is Ryder, Loris, then Ralof, so make multiple action spoilers where appropriate

Loris Rakain |

I forgot that Loris's feat "Combat Reflexes" allows you to take AoO's even while flat footed, so since the Gators attempt to climb up to bite Ralof is movement past Loris's threaten range, he gets an AoO against the gator
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

GM Grecko |

Ryder Koss |

Ryder fires his crossbow at Gaedren.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Ryder then uses his move action to reload.

Ralof the great |

Ralof takes out his bow and looks at Gaedren and whispers to himself "this is for the wrongfully trial of my friend" and fires at Gaedren
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Loris Rakain |

Loris moves forward through the difficult terrain (20ft/2) 10ft. He then proceeds to cast Calm Animals (His Domain Spell) on the Crocodile (DC13 Will Save Negates).

GM Grecko |

Gaedren takes a Bolt to the shoulder from a quick to act Ryder as Loris moves forward to cast a spell on the enraged crocodile.
Croc Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The Crocodile seems to calm down a little.
Just then Ralof feels his emotions build and releases a devastatingly accurate arrow directly to the stomach of Gaedren. He seems taken aback by the sudden onslaught of projectiles that came so quickly.
Yargin then aims his wand at the menacingly approaching Loris.
UMD Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 the wand activates
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 misses touch AC
He manages to activate the wand, but just misses hitting Loris with the spell. "Son of a mongrel dog! This piece of junk! Worthless toad droppings it is!" He yells to wand as he shakes it in frustration.
Yargin Then releases his hold on Bloo and ducks behind the cover of the desks.
Bloo runs after the nearest person to attack (Loris) The dog has to move inside your threat range so you will get an AoO
If the dog survives the AoO:
Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Miss
Bite: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

GM Grecko |

Round 1 Summary:
Gaedren begins by riling up his pet crocodile whom lunges to take a bite at Ralof. The Croc misses, but not before taking a shot from Loris during the AoO.
Then Ryder aims his crossbow and sticks a bolt to the shoulder of Gaedren.
Loris moves forward through the clutter and Cast a spell calming the crocodile down.
Ralof, showing a bit of emotion for his friend fires an arrow into the stomach of the aged Gaedren.
Yargin then proceeds to activate his wand, but misses his intended target, while his beloved hound Bloo is cut down before the pet can even reach Loris to attack.
Round 2 is about to begin:

GM Grecko |

Gaedren Taken aback by the impressive accuracy of the hero's fires his crossbow back across at the other Ranged attackers.
Target: 1d2 ⇒ 1 Ralof
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Miss
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
He then ducks down behind the table to grant himself cover +4 AC this round.
"So how did you find me anyway? You can rest assured they will die a horrible death"
The Gator, under the effects of Calm Animals sits docile at the bottom of the pit.

GM Grecko |

Ralof the great |

Ralof looks at the man gaedren taking cover like the coward he is and takes another shot. Right before he shoots he yells feeling a bit cocky, " Why you running Gaedren? Afraid?"
i am using one of my 10 thistle arrows i bought before starting. It has a bleed effect of 1d6 rounds
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Ryder Koss |

Ryder acting before Ralof fires his crossbow again at Gaedren. Ryder doesn't say a word. He has a look of fierce determination on his face as he draws, aims carefully, and pulls the trigger... Just die..., he whispers to no one.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Harrow point to reroll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 even with the +4 AC, that ought to hit!
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Ryder then moves as far as he can along the walkway that Loris took.

Loris Rakain |

Loris Moves as far as he can through the clutter. He will need to take a double move, but it gets him to within striking distance of his spear.

GM Grecko |

Yargin shows a look of panic as his boss takes another bolt and arrow. ”What do I do, boss!?” He exclaims. Gaedren yells back. ”You moron, they cast spells, hit ‘em with the boom-rock!”
Yargin then pulls out a round stone and chucks it in the vicinity of Ryder and Loris. (Aimed at the square in front of Ryder DC5)
Attack: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9 Hits the Square
It bursts out in a 10’ radius
Both Ryder and Loris need to make a DC15 Fortitude save or become Deafened for 1hr.

GM Grecko |

Round 2 Summary:
Gaedren takes a shot at Ralof but misses. Seeing a huge tactical disadvantage, he ducks behind some Cover.
Unfortunately for him, the Cover did nothing to stop another Bolt from Ryder and a thistle arrow from Ralof from digging into him.
In between Ryder and Ralof's ranged volley, Loris moved up ready to strike.
Yargin the panic starting to show, tossed a thunderstone at Ryder and Loris (Results to be determined)
Round 3 Begins.

GM Grecko |

Gaedren takes a point of bleed damage from round 1 of the thistle arrows
Geadren is hurting bad, he pulls out a bottle and drinks it.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The bleeding around the wound seems to stop and close up.
"You bastards will pay for what you've done here today. I do not take kindly to intruders. Especially snot-nosed kids, old beat up idiots, or pompous elves"

Loris Rakain |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Loris avoids becoming deafened
Loris Stands tall and attempts to take a stab at Gaedren... or Yargin, if Ryder manages to take care of Gaedren.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
The blow glances off the corner off the desk, just missing Gaedren/Yargin by inches

Ryder Koss |

Fort save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 =Ryder laughs.
Ryder moves up to the square next to Loris (just west of him) and cast color spray at both of the assailants.
someone will need to update the map for me - can't do it on my phone

GM Grecko |

A quick post for Map and Will Saves (DC15 right?).
Gaedren: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Yargin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Yargin shrugs off the effect, but it appears as though Gaedren takes the effect. From your previous use you know he doesn't nearly have it as bad as others you've hit with it before, but it does appear to have stunned him.
As a side note.. With Gaedren Stunned, his AC is lowered to the point where Loris's attack is indeed a hit. He will take the damage from the spear.

Ralof the great |

Ralof looks at the servent type of man named Yargin and takes a shot with the thistle arrow, but first says "Lets get rid of you"
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Then he moves a single move: Map

GM Grecko |

Ralof's Arrow embeds into the table near Yargin's face. In an of desperation he reaches into his bag of goodies and tosses a vial at the square of the spear wielding behemoth in front of him (DC5 Splash Weapon).
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
His vial does not hit its intended target, instead it hits a random square around the target. Following the rules On missing with splash damage
Square Hit: 1d8 ⇒ 8
The vial hits the square between Ryder and Gaedren. And bursts a radius of acid encompassing the all the squares adjacent to that square. Ryder, Loris, Gaedren and Yargin all take 1 point of acid damage.
"Stupid FLASK!" Yagrin exclaims in agony.

GM Grecko |

Round 3 Summary:
Gaedren tosses some insults while downing a potion of Cure light wounds.
Ryder moves up to Colorspray the enemies, and manages to stun Gaedren.
Loris stabs Gaedren while he is unable to defend himself
Ralof fires off another arrow, barely missing Yargin.
Yargin in an act of desperation tosses a vial of acid at Loris, misses, and ends up doing splash damage on everyone in the area.
Round 4 Begins:
Gaedren is currently stunned. Ryder is up!

Ryder Koss |

Ryder loads and fires his crossbow at Gaedren a 3rd time.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Weak!

Ralof the great |

Ralof is ready to get up close.
He takes his whole turn to move in.
MAP

GM Grecko |

Ryder attempts to hit a still stunned Gaedren, but the bolt was improperly manufactured, combined with the cover of the desk, the bolt does not strike it's target.
Gaedren snaps out of his stunned state (still does not have an action this round)
a Greatsword is a normal weapon meaning you need to be adjacent to the target. Loris has a reach weapon granting him the extra 5ft.

Loris Rakain |

Loris see's Gaedren snap out of it, but feels as if Yargin has posed the more dangerous threat with his alchemical weapons. He strikes at Yargin
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Miss

GM Grecko |

Yargin tosses another vial. This time targeting Ryder in an attempt to get everyone in the splash zone.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
(I did this wrong last time. I need to hit a ranged touch attack against the person, not the square. It didn't make a difference last time because it was a miss regardless.)
With the bonus temp AC from the Harrow Point spent earlier, the vial misses Ryder.
Square: 1d8 ⇒ 6
The vial falls harmlessly into the water behind Ralof

GM Grecko |

Round 4 Summary -
With Gaedren Stunned, Ryder attempted to hit him with a crossbow bolt, but came up just a bit short. Gaedren snapped out of his stunned state after the miss
Loris tried to take out Yargin but also missed.
Ralof moved closer to get into melee range.
Yargin tossed a vial of acid into the water below
Round 5 Begins -

GM Grecko |

Gaedren, having snapped out of his stunned state, picks up his dropped crossbow shakes off the last effects of the spell and takes a non discriminatory shot from behind cover.
Target: 1d3 ⇒ 3 Ryder is the Target
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Potential Crit on a 19-20x2 weapon
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Confirmation Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Confirmed
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
"That's what you get for defying me!" He Shouts as he pops off a devastatingly accurate shot.
Ryder takes a total of 6 points, and does not look very healthy at all :[

Ryder Koss |

"Arrgh!"
Ryder casts Color Spray again at both assailants, and then moves away to the west as far as he can, looking for some cover...
DC15 Will save negates, varied affects depending on HD of target
Ryder has 1 hp remaining, and no 1st level spells left for the day

Ralof the great |

Ralof moves in a bit to take a hit at Gaedren, but before moving he switches to his greatsword.
MAP
Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
if that did not hit here is my harrow point re roll
Harrow-re roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Ryder Koss |

You don't get to say "if that doesn't hit" when using a Harrow Point - you have to choose before knowing the result and you're stuck with the result of the 2nd roll, even if worse than the first, unless you burn another HwP to reroll again. Also, our current pool of HwPs is Dex based, so the use for rerolls only applies to Dex based rolls, which a melee attack is not, so your first roll stands and you keep the HwP

Ryder Koss |

...unless you have the weapon finesse feat that lets you use your Dex bonus on melee attacks... Which is why you need to SHARE YOUR CHARACTER SHEET WITH ME.

Ryder Koss |

actually I may have spoken too soon... I reread Grecko's description and it didnt day anything about the result... Maybe you can reroll after the result is revealed... I'll just shut up and let the GM clarify.

Loris Rakain |

Ryder is correct, the Harrow Reroll is for Dex based rolls. I'd also like to point out, that if you had gotten to use your reroll. a roll of 19 on a greatsword is a potential critical hit and you get to roll again to confirm. Also your damage on the greatsword should be 2d6+6
Loris (going before Ralof) wants to go help Ryder, but cannot get in a proper position due to his slower than molasses movement in medium armor to where his burst won't heal the enemies as well.
He moves to better positioning for next round and takes a strike at Gaedren.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Miss
*Edit - And yes, you must choose to use the re-roll before knowing the outcome of the first roll.

GM Grecko |

Round 5 Summary:
Gaedren Fired a deadly accurate arrow into the neck of Ryder, rendering him bloodied. In return Ryder uses his last color-spray at the two enemies behind the tables and moves to his own cover.
Loris seeing Ryder in trouble takes a tactical movement over to get in a better position to heal Ryder while missing his attack on Geadren.
Ralof quickdraws his Greatsword and with a big swing takes a chunk off the table next to Gaedren.
Yargin attempts to fire his wand but fails miserably.
Round 6 Begins.
