Two of the undead fall prone on the wide log next to Stephani, while one steps on her helmet and crosses.
"There are some limitations to this variety of undead, it is certain. Others can be created more nimble..." he observes wryly.
One skeleton moves forward and attempts to attack the minotaur with a scimitar, but it swings awkwardly.
Dusklord glowers at the beast attacking Janira, and settles for casting a spell to coat the ground under it with grease DC 15 reflex

It's not a spell, it's my variant bardic performance. I'll be trying it again next turn, provided Janira is still alive and well...

![]() |

I was just giving your action a little flavor in the GM blurb, because as far as the minotaur and Janira know, it was magic!

The Minotaur sneers at the skeleton, and huffs out an angry cry in Giant, and then steps to attack Janira again! It looks as though the halfling is done for, but as the last second the beast's hooves come out from under him and he topples to the ground!
Party Up!

Aeleth heaves a sigh of relief as the minotaur falls. Knowing that it wouldn't be too long before it got back on its feet, he decides it would be best to get to Janira's side to give her some support.
Moving back 10ft so I can get a running start, then running forward to attempt a jump across the river.

Now that they are close enough to the big creature, Nago casts magic fang on Nagi and says"Nagi, attack!" Handle Animal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Nagi swims across the water, Nagi has a swim speed, so she takes 10 for a 18 and bites at the Minotaur. Nago will try to cross next turn, either jumping or crossing the log.

Starling loads another bolt in her crossbow and provides covering fire for her party members as they move across the stream. Unfortunately, she releases her bolt just as the minotaur suddenly topples to the ground, missing him by a few feet.

The wizard then casts a spell to make the minotaur run as the skeleton attacks it.

Dusklord, the Minotaur actually has 6HD, rendering him immune to your spell. :/
The Minotaur attempts to stand, but slides back onto its knees, and then topples over onto its stomach from the grease! Nagi and Elvik both land blows that makes the Minotaur bellow in fury!

Dusklord looks disappointed as his spell fizzles.
"I suspected that might not work on a mature minotaur...perhaps only on its younger members. Very well...I shall try something else."
The wizard begins casting enlarge person on Stephani.
"My dearest paladin...for a moment your physical size will match that of your righteous soul!"
His skeleton slices at the minotaur while the other two scramble to cross the log. crawling, i guess

Sorry for the delay, had a really full plate the last two days. Update coming as soon as I get to work.

![]() |

Yeah, I don't see it lasting any more than a couple of rounds. I'm already getting the chronicle sheets ready. More than likely, I see it ending tomorrow should we all be able to post. I'll be posting this round's update very soon.

![]() |

Whew! My employer has been running a "pre Black Friday sale" all weekend and it's been a doozy! Anyway, I did all the maths, and here is what's happening...
As you all fire upon, beat on, and surround the Minotaur, it bleats out in broken common.
I yield! I fight no more! You have made bargain with dead things, bad magic!
He tries to get up and flee, dropping his broken great axe.
The question is, what do you do about it?

![]() |

Dusklord points at the minotaur.
"I suggest that you run," the wizard says to it. "To help you learn not to pick on those so much smaller than you, my last instructions to these creatures will be to kill you. Hopefully you can run for longer than magic ties their bones together."
Looking back at the undead, he says "Kill it!"
They lumber forward, but not before the minotaur has had time to escape the grease and run.
Hoping to give a reason to get rid of the undead and finish us up here...so I engaged in a little hand waving. Let me know if that doesn't work. I guess we're on to the finish of this, Chronicles, and then starting the next? Where we've all played this before, I don't know that we need an elaborate wrap-up. I am excited to get into some non-evergreens, though!

![]() |

Yep, I'll make a quick wrap up and get reporting/chronicles out once the others have had a chance to post what they want to do. I can't wait to higher Serak back and into some games I haven't played before.

![]() |

Starling nods with approval at Dusklord's way of resolving the situation, not killing their wounded enemy who asked for mercy and getting rid of those pesky skeletons. The skeletons won't really be a challenge to the minotaur, she thinks to herself, but at least we won't have to deal with them anymore.
She then moves to Janira and helps her, looking for any wounds. "Are you okay Janira? We thought you were going to die for a second back there.

![]() |

"A minotaur is a worthy foe, but a foe just the same. Janira, if you can walk, I suggest we get on the trail home as soon as possible, in case our foe decides he is brave enough to bring friends and return the favor."
Stephani finishes up her journal, and is ready to depart.

![]() |

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Before Nagi was able to attack the minotaur while it was standing up, Nago put his hand on her and said "No. Let him run."

![]() |

Hey guys, we've only had 3 check in for the next part (see discussion thread). I don't want to sound bossy here, but I suggest that if someone hasn't checked in by tomorrow, we start looking for replacement players. This only works if we're all engaged.

![]() |

Reporting/Chronicling tomorrow and shutting this thread down once everyone is in the next game. I'll go ahead and check in.
