Hello all! Before we get started, please post the following:
PFS #
Day Job roll
Initiative
Perception
Thanks! The scenario should be released tomorrow so we will start as soon as I can get it!
Jaren Ward
|
PFS #: 174394-10
No Day Job
Initiative: +3
Perception: +7
This guy started off as a GM blob, but I rather like his build so I'm going to start playing him. I just have to fill out his last chronicle from Emerald Spire and level him up to 3. He'll be done before we start, for sure.

#40025-10
Craft (Metalworking): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Initiative: -1
Perception: 0
I, too, am a tad torn, since I might be interested in trotting out my new Occultist instead - however, in addition to being 1 experience away from level 2, Xukong has certain highly unusual talents that may prove very useful when it comes to strange and magical writing....
Rogzul the Whisperer

PFS# 186188-1
Unemployed
Initiative +2
Perception +4 (+7 in Bright Light)
Loenor Shalothas
|
Looks like some melee is needed, so brining Loenor, Slayer 4. Don't think there was anything of note which changed with the recent FAQ to ACG, but will double check and update as needed.
PFS # - 63517-10
Day Job roll - Profession (scrivener): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 Reserve right to folio reroll if not used during scnenario
Initiative - +5
Perception - +11

Problem is, the rest of us seem to be playing Tier 1 characters...
...what about that Samurai you've got there? I've never gotten to see a Vishkanya in play before. :)

PFS # - 139009 - 4
Day Job roll Craft (alchemy): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Edit: BOOM!
Initiative +1
Perception +0 (+2 with Kalas) bat familiar
Loenor Shalothas
|
Even with a lvl 4, it would still be solidly low tier. And given Loenor's previous experience, playing down might be best for his health, haha.
That said, if the party wishes a 6th with a lower level, then I can indeed bring Wyconda.
Day Job - None
Initiative - +4
Perception - +7
Xukong
|
I'd vote for Wyconda simply for the sake of getting to adventure alongside a Vishkanya. :)
Jaren Ward
|
Jaren is 3rd level, I just have to update him. He's a reach melee bard, so no inspire. Don't feel terribly pressured to bring Wyconda, though I did play MoFF alongside him, and he is a solid character.
| EndlessForms |
As you said, we're playing low-tier no matter what. Play whoever you want, it makes no difference to the GM.
| EndlessForms |
Great! According to the product page the scenario will be released tomorrow. Generally they don't release products until the end of the day though since they are on Pacific time I think. But as soon as it is released and I have time to look it over we will get started.
Xukong

Not much different than any other adventurer. Can only use the racial ability once per day at this level. =P
That isn't true. Your access to it is limited only by your Constitution modifier.

Want my advice? Put emphasis on increasing your Constitution as you gain wealth and power, at least moreso than you otherwise would! :)
| EndlessForms |
Well, the product page for this scenario changed this morning from "available today" to "unavailable". I'm guessing this is because of GenCon starting up today. We shall see if it is released today or tomorrow but my suspicion is that we will need to wait until after GenCon (Sunday) or perhaps even next Wednesday, as scenarios generally drop on Wednesday nights.
I had a feeling that would happen but no harm done in getting the group organized ahead of time.

That's the plan. Even likely to rebuild a little before lvl 2, fiddle with the stats a bit.
| EndlessForms |
I could download it, it seems that they make a difference between VC and non-VC :(
Oh! Actually, I just checked and it's already in my downloads. I was supposed to run the new scenarios at GenCon but had to cancel at the last minute. The lab tech who was supposed to cover for me quit two weeks ago so I wasn't able to get those days off.
I'll look it over and get us started this afternoon.

Surprised a 17 didn't hit flat-footed on a caster in a low-tier scenario. This may be trickier than thought...
With a fluid motion, Wyconda runs his blade along his tongue, coating it with sticky saliva, before going to attack the deceiver again.
She may not have been flat-footed since it was she who sort of triggered the ambush. Though perhaps you disbelieve what you are seeing/experiencing enough for a check of some kind. ;)
PS Sorry about the eye brows. *smirk*

Still here. Just waiting to see what my other early initiative friends are doing this round. I will say this though, knowing what they are (out of character anyway) and them being large, having DR, and flying and all--I'm not really convinced that ray of frost, or even four or five big swords will drop them before two of us are dead. Us being mostly first-level and all. I vote for retreat up the vent.
We might always think our way back if we need to. Just a thought.

On the other hand, now that we all (or at least we most) know they're shadow conjurations, they're only 20% real, meaning their attacks will be quite lucky to do more than 1 damage per hit, and their hit points have likewise shriveled.

Retreating up the vent is only a viable option if we can actually obtain enough potions for the whole party. Given Wulessa's dialogue I'm not convinced that's going to happen sooner than later.
Jaren is the only one who hasn't perceived their true nature, so either Piety or Natula could shout out to him, at which point we're all significantly more likely to make it through this to the next...where ever we end up.

Not true, Natula (thanks to her fine Pathfinder training rather than any failing in herself or the dice bot she uses) doesn't know anything either. Neither apparently does Piety.

Maybe it's the +12 to hit I'm not liking.... ;)

What kind of being was the Archivist?

Also, I'm going to try to learn some spells (DC 16 in all cases):
magic weapon: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
color spray: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
illusion of calm: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
darting duplicate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
| EndlessForms |
It was called an aeon in the text but its stats were for an unfettered eidolon.
| EndlessForms |
If you have a +9 in spellcraft, just take 10 on your check and you can't fail to learn them.
Xukong

I didn't know I could do that. Nifty, thanks much.

Thanks again.
Do you need to fill out the top section of the chronicle sheet?
