Libri finds nothing of immediate use, although this room offers many interesting features: it seems to have been a very active laboratory with all manner of experiments running. A line of stasis chambers sized for small animals and lab specimens takes up much of the eastern part of the room, all of them no lying open.
The rest of the room contains multiple workstations, cabinets, and lab equipment designed to support alchemical (chemical) and biological research. Most of the devices-as well as several vials, flasks, and beakers-lie broken and scattered on the floor.

The room across the hall is filled with two circular metal tables and several chairs. Metal cabinets sit against the walls, while tot he north stands a large machine with glowing panels on its surface. The air in this room feels unusually warm. The glowing panels on the surface of the machine seem to be the source of heat in the room.
A search of the cabinets reveals a large collection of 120 tubes.
GOO TUBE

Goo tubes are a form of preserved food. A single goo tube is a malleable cylinder with a cap on one end; when it’s opened and squeezed, the colorful, goopy contents are extruded. Although the texture and appearance of this goo is unappetizing, the paste is actually quite tasty, and comes in a mind-boggling assortment of flavors. A symbol on the side of the tube often grants a clue as to what flavor may be contained within, but these symbols can sometimes be counter-intuitive. The contents of a single goo tube can provide nourishment for a day for one Medium-size creature.
Unfortunately, it seems that many of them have spoiled and each tube has a 50% of either nourishing or sickening.

The party moves along to the doors to the north:
A long table with various unusual stones and dirt samples heaped on it sits along the southern wall of this room, while to the north a line of metal desks with glowing panels and buttons are placed next to a large humming device. The heart of this device seems to be some sort of flickering sphere of reddish-brown mud or dirt. Dust covers much of this room, save for a strangely clean swath between the doors, which leads to the strange humming device.
Following the blood smears from the hallway to either side of this room you automatically note that the “clean stripe” seems to indicate that something came out to clean up all trace of blood on the floor—in fact, this was caused by the room’s occupant! You all hear a telepathic voice in your heads, seemingly issued from the reddish-brown sphere. Where am I? Who are you?
They can give out a touch of madness that can daze victims and a star-shriek which can nauseate victims.

Jorac whispers to his companions, explaining what the creature is.
"It belongs to the cerebric fungi, a race of carnivorous, intelligent fungi native to a distant planet and although they are one of the lowliest life forms on their homeworld, the fungi still possess an alien intellect far beyond that of most terrestrial creatures. They are capable of showing great curiosity about other race and species. Do not be alarmed by its endless, sometimes senseless, questions."
| Taran Starmetal |
Taran takes the contemplative mold's questions in stride. "You might want to narrow down the scope of your question there, friend." Teos answers and... well... thinks loudly. "Should I start at planet, continent, country, city or structure? Why not all; in order: Golarion, Avistan, Numeria, Torch, and Torch Hill, although the last might be more properly known as a crashed metal ship from the stars. We're folks from the first four, all from different races, looking in the last one for a friend of ours. I got some dried jerky in my back if you're bit hungry, or you could try some of the goo." He points his thumb at the food canisters. "Although some of it looks bad so I'd smell it first"

And if so, do you recall how long ago they were here?"

Oh yes, I saw other creatures like you. They were pulled through this room some time ago by metallic creatures not like you. and they left delicious red food on the floor. Can you feed me more red food?

"Uh... wait here." Taran fetches a handful of tubes, in hopes of avoiding the fungus getting any ideas about eating humanoid flesh. He pops a few tops and looks for one that smells something like meat, and takes a guess at which ones sicken. Metal desks sit to the north and south of this long room, yet the most distinctive features are a pair of odd, bed-like tables flanked by curving panels of blinking, pulsing lights. Moving armatures of metal extend out over the beds, each outfitted with glowing panes of glass and strangely glowing tools. The chamber reeks of blood, with great crimson stains splashed across the device, beds, and floor.
