Average sports gear is AC +4, I'm currently wearing +6, so after this battle someone else should wear it.

Moved this to discussion.
Back then I couldn't understand why gamma world was in meters. Back then the only thing that was metric was Coca Cola where I grew up. I have lived abroad most of my adult life. I understand some metric stuff but most is a bit different for me. Especially the larger units.
I live in Canada and the switch to metric was made when I was little, so I grew up with metric. So Imperial measurements give me a bit of a headache, but I'm good with metric.
I think the game designers figured that eventually the whole world would switch to metric, so a game set in the future ought to use it.
There are two mnemonics that will help you remember the metric prefixes:
"Every Pretty Thing Gives Me Kisses."
"Millie Must Not Pull Fire Alarms."
The first is the prefixes for units larger than one. They are in increments of three decimal places (x1000) from largest to smallest: Exo-, Peta-, Tera-, Giga-, Mega-, and kilo-.
The second is the prefixes for units smaller than one. They are likewise in increments of 1000 from largest to smallest: mili-, micro-, nano-, pico-, femto-, and atto-.
Maybe that will be of some use. :)

Nah, it is more the visual conception of how big they are. At the small level I can visualize the size of a gram or a liter or even a meter(about a yard). For liquid measure the greater things are still done globally by the barrel, like oil or chemicals. Thanks though. The numbers are easy enough. :)

The designers of Gamma World were American, and one of the difficult parts for them to perceive as GM's was how to explain what a toaster was, without saying toaster. Consider the rather mundane items that are listed on the artifact loot table. So to help with the uncertainty principal, they designed the game in metric, as at that time, their largest target audience was going to be Americans unfamiliar with the metric system.
It was just one of the ways to add confusion for the sake of the game environment.

FYI guys: Still having a computer problem. Looks like my hard drive is toast, though I managed to save a fair bit of my data. I will post when I can and may have access to a machine on Saturday, but otherwise I might not be posting again until Sunday night when I am at work.

Posting this in all my games:
Some of you may or may not be aware, but my wife has glaucoma which has already claimed the sight in her right eye and is eating away at the vision in her left. To further complicate matters, she had a cataract removed from her left eye, but during the operation, there was some minor temporary damage to the optic nerve. Long story short, it should heal in two to three months, but until then, I am her official reader. She can make out blurred images of people and if they speak, she is pretty good at recognizing voices, but she can't read anything.
Further, I am the only one of us who drives, since her vision started getting worse last year, so I have to take her to any and all doctor's appointments. About once every two weeks, she has to go to Tulane in New Orleans, about 90 miles away (and that's not to mention local appointments, errands, shopping trips, etc.). So if I seem slow to respond or post, please bear with me. If I am a player, bot me as needed. If I am your GM, rest assured that I have not forgotten you. I may just have had a hella busy day.

Christmas Schedule:
FYI guys, I should be able to post regularly up to the night of the 22nd.
Friday the 23rd I am unlikely to be able to make any posts, and possibly the 24th as well.
The 25th I will check in briefly but won't be surprised if there is nothing going on. After that I should be able to post normally.

I seem to recall from many years ago, that domars are actually credit cards. I believe they were described as thin rectangles of no-grain.
Just one of those rarely used bits of info.

Just so everyone is aware; convention season is upon us again! I serve as the Game Operations Director (that is, the Director of the Game Room) at CoastCon, a local convention in 1.5 months, and this takes up a lot of my already pressed time. So if I am slow to update or respond, please bear with me and bot me as needed.

We're one week out from the convention. As such, my time is getting crunched pretty badly. I'll try to check in as much as possible until Wednesday, after that, don't expect to hear from me until Monday. Please bot me as necessary. If I'm running your game, I ask for your patience. We will continue!

I am on vacation this week until next Monday, Please bot me as necessary. If I'm running the game, I will do what I can to check in, but don't expect much activity from me this week. Thank you.

Since my fangs are now large enough to give me a penalty to robot recognition, do I also get a bite attack? And would that be a secondary attack?
Maybe something like:
Alligator 2d6
Cheetah 1d6
Cougar 1d6
Fox 1d6
Gorilla 1d6
Hawk 1d4
Monkey 1d3
Mosquito 1d4
Otter 1d6
Porcupine 1d3
Raccoon 1d4
sea Lion 1d4
Shark 1d12
Skunk 1d3
Snake 1d6
Spider 1d4
Termite 1d6
Tiger 1d10
Weasel 1d6
Wolf 1d6
Looks like 1d6 is pretty much a mainstream choice. That work for you?

They are just a little bit longer people teeth. I imagine they stick out your mouth when your mouth is closed, weird enough to make robots be more skeptical towards you but not big enough to give you a stronger bite.
You could use them if you wanted to, I will allot you 1d2+1 but you probably wouldn't want to bite anything armored or so, you could then break your teeth.
It is listed as a drawback.
