Aye
Winifred, there's a good chance Will will donate to your cause if you approach him about things. I as a player usually just go with "take it if you need it" mentality, so I have no issue with a smaller chunk of loot if it goes to improving the team. Much of Wills money will go to other ppls MWK transformations once castor can cast it.

And most definitely 'Aye'.
Edit: Am I correct in understanding that we now have several 'former' bandits at the Trading Post?
Ok, I've looked at the downtime rules & I'm beginning to get a headache.
This is my overall intent for Rufus' downtime:
If we do have 'former' Bandits now working here at the Trading Post I want to question them, thoroughly, for every smidgeon of information about the 'Stag Lord', his band & anything else they know about the area. I read that if I have Influence Capitol, that can help with that, so Rufus' two activities for 'downtime' are gathering Influence Capitol & using it to question the 'Former Bandits'. Obviously, if there are no such individuals here, that plan changes.
second edit: Captain Trips, do you want me to update my character sheet on the homepage?

1. Correct, you have 6 former bandits living in the area, setting up a homestead type location.
2. I'm fine with saying you are taking 10 on your actions to gain influence with them and press them with questions. You can handle that in the gameplay thread.
3. I'd appreciate it if people did update their characters, it saves me a lot of work. I'd rather empower each of you to be able to update the Wiki with your own information, journal messages (as before) and any other small details you want. The more we all contribute the more useful it will be overall. Its really there for your benefit.

Aye aye.

gm can you please remove me from this so itll stop showing on my camp tab..
GM Captain Trips
Head's up to all my games that I will be out of town visiting Gatlinburg, TN from tomorrow afternoon until Sunday night, so my posting will be infrequent. I will try to get up early enough each morning to get online and make a post and will try to do so at least once in the evenings, but I can't make any promises.
Brom Wolven
Thanks for the heads up Trips. Having a good trip!

A Reminder: I am going on vacation starting Sunday until the next Sunday (the 27th). I most likely will not have the ability to check in during this time, much less post. Please GMPC me during this time, as required.

OK. I have now read all 300+ posts I was behind in this list. I saw the post Trips put up about downtime and will read it soon. But please advise me on how best to spend my time. We are sharing the benefits of downtime too, correct?
Aye to sharing of restorative potions. That means Den still has that cure mod in the satchel at his side. :P
Also its cool that Brom is going to make a cloak out of the bear hide, but really a beak skin is treasure and should be worth something so we should track it. Hides and skins are big business in these parts after all.
I am not temped to take the MW chain mail. It only helps my AC by a points while slowing me and would give me an armor check of -4. Now Den has no armor check. I would think Rufus might want it though? Karse might want the half plate. Remember you can take these items for now, and later sell them for what you are "paying" for them later, pending the ability of Oleg to sell them.
Which brings up the +1 short sword. I know people are spending their money like everything sold but that is is an expensive sword and I am not sure we can sell it with the armor all at once, so you might not have that much money to spend.

Den will happily use it, but most of the time it will hang on his hip as he shoots. :)
Oh, and we are leveling up - Yes! Question to the group: Should Den take Precise Shot (leaning towards this) or Rapid Shot as his Ranger bonus feat at second level. He will likely take the other at third level and Precise shot at 5th level.
He will take his favored class bonus in Hit points and take the PFS average for his roll, gaining a net 8 hit points, including his con bonus.
Skills go into Climb (1), Intimidate (1), Knowledge Dungeoneering(1), Knowledge Geography(1), Perception(1), Survival(1), and Swim(1). That gives him training in all his class skills with max perception and survival. Hey, add 1 to all those survival rolls for my down time. :)
The own will also take average hit points, gaining 6, but only getting 3 for now (while its still young). It gets better at stealth(1) for its skill increase and gains the Feat Weapon Focus Bite.
GM Captain Trips
Correct. You take a -4 to dex, -2 to hit, and you cannot leave your square. You can either free yourself or reverse the grapple, which requires a CMB check against the target's CMD, or you can use an Escape Artist Check against the target's CMD.
You can also only use a light or natural weapon in an attack if you are grappled. Basically you don't have the room or leverage to swing a larger weapon.

Hey all, this is the first time I've logged into Paizo in what feels like a month.
Just a perfect storm of pregnant wife health issues, crazy-time at work, and community obligations. I feel really embarrassed I was gone so long without a word, but I have enough room to breath that I wanted to get back and see the state of things.
Sorry for the disappearing act but I feel confident the worst of the storm is past and I can get back onto the boards.
If Brom was gone too long I understand, but I'm back on the boards now.
GM Captain Trips
You were missed. I had sent out a ton of feelers to find out what happened to you. I even used my super secret VC powers to email one of your previous PFS GMs to see if he had any knowledge of anything potentially happening to you. I hadn't given up, but you were destined to become an NPC at the next trip back to the fort if I didn't hear something. :)
And yes, this was a BIG bear.
Brom Wolven
I'm sorry I missed out on the BIG bear battle. Well thanks for reaching out like you did and I certainly couldn't fault you for moving past Brom given the lengthy absence. But I'm back and ret ta go.
Just feel the need to explain my poor behavior, no excuses, just... personal penance.
1) Sicky Prego Wife - So my wife already has miserable pregnancies, and then she got a deep and lingering cough that's kept her (us) up nights and increased her need for assistance. So late nights and unbroken sleep, extra time and attention for her and the kids, etc... Part of having kids, but tiring all the same.
2) Work Woes - Every October/November most of the USA and some of the rest of the world take time to re-enroll in benefits provided by their employers etc... My job is to program a web based interface for some of these people to enroll in benefits. Missed deadlines, late information, too many clients and never enough time create a S*(# storm for me this time of year. Every year I think I've prepped enough to not be overly affected by this annual **** Storm, and every year (3 years now) I prove myself wrong. I've gotten lots of overtime and ignored many things I should not be ignoring during these last few weeks.
3) Regular life (kids, church, and so on) - Just kept me busy on top of all the rest.
Does all this business mean I couldn't have at least popped my head in and given some warning? Absolutely not. Just a few tired days suddenly turned into a week and then two and then when I do have time I start feeling bad/embarrassed for the silent time away.
So anyways, got that off my chest, feeling better and "On with the bore-aphil!"

Thanks Hadin!
It's all about keeping the heat in your head! (Just spouting nonsense at this point).

I have an *ugh* dental appointment in the morning, so posting may be slim tomorrow, but don't worry. I haven't forgotten you.
Brom Wolven
No problem. But if you're not back by the time we get back to Olegs... ;) Too soon? teehee.
Dendarial the Ken Hunter
I think Den will be ok. Going at night means he will be able to see by starlight and any humans should be effectively blind. I am not planning to close with the fort and only scout around it, not getting within even 100 feet. Maybe not 100 yards. I guess that depends on how well he can see.
Brom Wolven
That's what I was envisioning for you to do as well, something low-key, low risk, more of a general scouting attempt to see what could be seen.
Brom Wolven
lol
Brom Wolven
Well, if I wasn't confused before, I am now!
-and not by the repeat story thing, that I got and enjoyed. :)
Brom Wolven
Oh... hehe howd that get in there?!
Brom Wolven
Looks like I need to start drinking! lol
my laptop officially gave up the ghost yesterday. my geekRadar tells me the motherboard is the culprit. it's a work computer, which is 100% essential for my job, so i'm hoping for a quick turnaround. at the moment i'm using my wifes laptop -the availability of which is typically very dear.
just an fyi and i'll do my best to post as i'm able while my new comp gets to me.
