Harboth Redacre

Harboth accepts a shot of Ander's infernal healing with much thanks.
Yes, that is indeed a clip from "Friday." Oh for it to be Friday, to have no job, to not have shit to do...
| GM Burglar |
"What... I'm Maldroog, the night guard. Where's Habernacky? We were playing some cards, but then everything was misty and I drempt Nigel let some Alligator in here and he and I were fighting over the fact I lost a card game. He came in and ate Habernacky, bu--" He stops as he opens his eyes for the first time sitting up and sees the dead/dying crocodile. "Oh... oh gods! It can't be real! No... it can't be!" He begins to tear up and puts his hands to his face.
Harboth Redacre

just before Ander talks to the man... Harboth looks back at Ander. Well, shit. Anyone have any ideas about what I could do to fix this?
...
Harboth eyes Maldroog and steps closer. The croc ate Habernacky? Did Habernacky look like ...
After the man answers, Harboth steps back draws out his kukri in as non-threatening a manner as possible.
Chelsea Flamebrand

Chelsea stifles a chuckle at Hiram's comment, then speaks to the recently mist-possessed man.
"The mist is making everyone act a little funny. It would be best if you left the museum straight away until we get this whole mist thing figured out. The way should be clear."
| GM Burglar |
A little calmer than before, the man answers the questions.
@Harboth: "Yeah, he was the only half-orc employed here that I know... knew of," he says, looking towards the ground.
@Ander: "Further in? Well, there's some new exhibit they put up in the Grand Exhibit Hall. Not sure what it was; I never saw it finished. Last night, it had some square-shaped pyramid or something."
@Chelsea: "Oh, believe me; I really want to get out of here and stop by the Shining Temple. But I want whatever made me do... do that to Habernacky to pay, and I figure the best I can do is tell you guys know everything I've seen. There's not much more than I've already said, though."
Note: My incompetent counterpart at work has (fortunately) quit, so I've been given his leftover work/position. The next day might be slow as the past week has been, if not more. Sorry.
| GM Burglar |
Correct. It's the weirdest poison-that-should-really-be-a-curse I've ever seen. Also, I want to note that game speed should keep the same pace as it always has; I'm now stuck in the buisier building until we get someone to take this bottom-rung position, but this never moved all that fast anyways. Boss' ETA says 1 month for a new guy.

Anders walks over to Ur and pulls him to the side.

Ur whispers with Ander and then takes something from him.

The lot of you progress inward as the man, mourning his friend's death makes his way out.
Please give me some kind of marching order for the hallway. It is 10 ft wide and ends at a set of double doors.
| GM Burglar |
A long hallway leads to this grand hall, wherein the Blakros Museum shows off its finest collections. Mock vines cling to the walls and hang from the fifty-foot-high domed ceiling, and huts of grass are strewn about the open area. At the center of this sprawling chamber, a miniature replica of a traditional Mwangi ziggurat rises out of the mist to a height of nearly twenty feet. At the top of the ziggurat, a rail-thin elven gentleman is strapped to an altar, his bare chest painted with strange sigils and monkey paw-shaped blots of paint.
Hiram Kell
|
"Well. You don't see that sort of thing everyday, do you?" Hiram muses, scratching his chin with his whip hand. "I guess this is the source of the mist and monkey-business, but what's causing it? I don't fancy trying to take a 20 foot tall stone ziggurat apart if I can avoid it."
Can we see the really big monkey?
Hiram Kell
|
"Monkeys. Does anyone else think we're stuck in the mind of a madman, writing a terrible pulp tale? I'm investing in some serious bathing when we finish this mission." Hiram sighs, taking a better grip on his rapier and whip. "Let's go, Pathfinders. There are monkeys to slay, after all. Chelsea, if it suits your sexuality, would you like to rescue the dashing handsome elf victim? I'm going to see if that large ape twirls his mustache properly."
Hiram steps into the room.

For the sleep-deprived and math-impaired, here's the list in order, barring Chelsea beating Urthain in an init fight.
Ander: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Hiram: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Urthain: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Chelsea: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
APE: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Kyo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Harboth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Init fight! 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Seeing the large ape through the door Ur starts chanting and drawing the complex patterns in the air necessary to a summoning spell.
Harboth Redacre
|
If there's time for a quick retcon, Harboth will cut out some teeth from the croc (for a trophy) and will cut his belly open for evidence of Habernacky. Grody, right?
Harboth grumbles, MORE monkeys? Sheesh.
I'm going to wait until closer to my init order to post anything other than a quick step into the room ahead of Hiram.

Kyoshiro looks around desperate... sword in one hand and wand in the other.
Where is the cause of the curse?
Chelsea Flamebrand

Moving just inside the door and to the south one square for a clear shot at the ape and to allow the melee through.
Chelsea steps just inside the door and out of the way of the party, flinging a bolt of fire as she does so.

There is no clear emanation point, exceptionally so if it's something within the layer of fog on the ground. Are you Active Perceptioning? (Move Action)
May as well... Move action to try to find the source of the curse and standard prepared action to attack anything hostile that comes within sword reach

If its not too late to change my action given the map up is up, can I tap Hiram with my Wand of Infernal healing?

Chelsea produces a wand and heals Hiram, then announces to the group.

It doesn't look like Harboth has a clear path to get around the big monkey. That being the case, Harboth will charge. If I'm wrong, he will move to flank.
Harboth sets his jaw and attacks the big dirty ape.

Also, two things. 1: The figure is Nigel Aldain, whom I believe you've met numerous times (since you said this guy has been in the other Blakros scenarios.) 2:Knowledge (Arcana) for the statue you saw earlier.
