Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan nods, then asks, "Whisper-spell?", before starting off quietly.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess will cast message on Kilthan as well as the rest of the group (can effect 9 people at this point).
Be careful dwelf, we have no clue what is down here, but those ghasts make it clear that whatever is down here is not good.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

He whispers back, "Aye. Still, I'd hate to think the girl we're looking for has already been ghast chow, so let's hope for the best."

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan whispers back, "Aye, though someone may have tossed her in.", then keeps scouting ahead.

GM Blood |

Kilthan creeps forward into another chamber half filled with water on the opposite side that leads to a 3ft deep river that winds through the rock, just big enough for a humanoid to move through. Nothing else is in this chamber.
Assuming you decide to keep investigating...
As you move along, you continue to follow the shallow river for over 300 foot until it open into another chamber. Half movement speed
This low-ceiling grotto is completely flooded by murky, foul-smelling water. Piles of drenched rubbish, debris, and rotting flotsam bob everywhere. The dirty water flows out constantly from a sloping sewer conduit on the north wall. Thick sheets of rancid-looking slime cling to the ceiling in pale yellow gobs. At the north end of the room, dirty water flows out of a wide, sloping conduit, creating a small waterfall.
The water is only just over a foot deep here, but the ground is uneven so it counts as difficult terrain. Assume the rest of the group is about 30' back farther than shown on the map. The ceiling is 10' high and the sewer conduit on the north wall is just below the ceiling.
Kilthan approximates that he is on the southwest side of the lower ring

Kilthan Hammerstone |

And me without a feather step this morning...
Kilthan whispers back to the others, "Looks like a polluted underwater lake, with a sewer grate flowing into it. Best be quiet, would hate for them to hear echoes up through the sewer pipes..."

Aarakess Halcorn |

Arkansas looks to the others.
Want me to fly above the refuse and see if there is anything of note?
Aarakess will use 1 minute of her Flight Hex and zip around.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan says, "Not a bad plan."

Aarakess Halcorn |

Baring some sudden objections, Aarakess will use her flight hex and fly above the refuse scanning it for anything of note. She will stay well up near the roof, and out of reach of anything that might be in the water (hopefully).

Rohara Acharya |

Rohara moved on with the others without word as she tried to as silent as she could considering the armor and weapons she wore and wielded. Coming to the small lake of waste and refuge almost made the woman gag from the putrid smells. It took a few moments be she was able to bring her reflexive action under control. With that the woman turned her attention back to the matter at hand.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Skorhald Warsong |

With a scowl, Skorhald looks at the paladin questioninginly, Viskenson? Elebume? Yer talking jibberish Justin. Make some sense lad... Damn but Aarakass has ben flyin' around fer long enough! He squints his eyes toward the ceiling looking for signs of the long lost flying dwelf.

Alambama is in the Chapionship game, doesn't seem such a disappointing loss anymore! Frankly that was the only legit Wisconsin loss. Wisconsin's QB getting stepped on by the right guard going into the winning TD at the end of the Iowa game and the three TDs called back by the refs in the Northwestern game including the final play which should have counted.
Ok, having explored the region beyond the training Coenoby, you have come into a putrid area. Aarakess starts to fly around investigating.

As Aarakess flies she notes that the sloping sewer conduit would be wide enough to fly up, however it would be messy. She also notices the rancid slime on the ceiling is moving once she gets into the room.

GM Blood |

Note: Difficult terrain when moving. Also currently the creatures on on the ceiling

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Knowledge (Dungeoneering): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Kilthan nods, "It's immune to electricity, and stretches out pseudopods to attack.", and slides his bow from his shoulder.

Aarakess Halcorn |

Knowledge(dungeoneering): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
Yup. Ochre Jelly it is. Anyone know if it burns?
With that, she will open her mouth from which a loud buzzing can be heard. A moment later, thousands of swarming wasps pour forth swarming about one of the nearby slimes (#4).
Cast Vomit Swarm
--> creates Swarm of Wasps
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10+poison (DC13 Fort) + distraction (DC13 Fort)
She then flies back to report on the mayhem to her companions.
Nasty slime. Left a few bugs to hopefully slow them down.

GM Blood |

Not sure about distraction, but I can't see anything to say it wouldn't work in this case as it is a mind effect or poison
Ochre Jelly #4 Fort Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Justin tosses his hammer hitting one of the Ochre Jellys while Aarakess vomits up a swarm of bees that begin to sting it rapisly.

Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth |

"This may not be worth it. We can easily outrun these things and get back to our barracks. What do you all say?"
Justin adds:
"I would hate to see one of us out of the arena fight due to fighting these things."

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan says, "Aye, me too... But, then, do we want to be turned back by an ooze? Maybe we can lead it somewhere and circle around behind?"

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess smiles as she floats in the air:
Lets give them something else to play with.
Suddenly you hear a loud croaking sound.
Cast Rain of Frogs - closest jelly
.
Move - stay as far as possible from the jellys, while maintaining control of the swarms
-----
Frog Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 + Poison(Fort DC13) + Distraction (Fort DC13)
Wasp Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10 + poison (DC13 Fort) + distraction (DC13 Fort)
Aarakess is going to concentrate on the frogs as long as possible as it is a Concentration spell. Wasps are 9 rounds

Skorhald Warsong |

Skorhald looks to his companions shrugging. "Now that they be on the ground, should we just be killin' the jellies? Seems they aren't the mightiest foe we've come across."
It is my understanding that we don't fight again until tomorrow, correct?

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan holds out his hand to Jagdbach and the two back off, keeping with the group, "Think your wee beasties can kill it, Aara?"

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan nods, "Aye. I was just hoping to keep the slime off my axe. It's a pain to clean."

GM Blood |

Aarakess continues to fly in the air above the oozes and the spells continue to work to wear one of them down. As you retreat and the slimes advance, they are drawn to the movement of the wasps and frogs. As time goes on they wear down the non intelligent slimes which continue to lash out at the swarms while unable to affect them.
Aarakess, The swarms will be able to wipe them out eventually so this battle is won if you choose to stay concentrating and flying. I would say at this point in combat you have used 4 out of 10 rounds of the 1 minute interval for fly. So to finish the battle free from the threat of slime attacks you will need to use three more minutes of your daily fly.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan smiles, "If only all combat went so easily."

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess continues to fly and concentrate on the swarm as the wasps and frogs slowly dissolve the strange ooze like aberrations.
True, I did not know if it would work, but gotta like not even having to clean your weapons off.
Once the oozes are dead, the flying dwelf will once more fly above the water to see what is next and to make sure that the way is safe for the rest of the group.

GM Blood |

Perception Aarakess Halcorn: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Aarakess flies around the room which now seems safe from any critters. However even though the water is 1 to 2 feet deep, it is so dirty and filled with muck that she couldn't tell if something is hidden beneath the water. Other than the sloping conduit in the upper north wall, she doesn't see any exits of any kind other than the one you came in.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan sighs, "Well, that's a let down. Was rather expecting we might find something useful... or a way out to explore. Means I must have missed something above while doing the invisible scouting."

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess looks to Kilthan:
I can try to carry you across the water. Perhaps your elven eyes can see something that my new dwarven ones cannot.
Aarakess will fly Kilthan to the other side if she can carry him.

GM Blood |

Perception Kilthan Hammerstone: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Perception Justin D'Rite: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
Perception Rohara Acharya: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
As Aarakess flies around, Kilthan does indeed see something that Aarakess did not. There is a detached desiccated arm that has a gauntlet on it that seems to have not suffered any damage from being in this putrid water. Aarakess detects magic and it does indeed glow magical. An examination by Aarakess determines it is a gauntlet of rust
The flying around examining the cavern will take up two more minutes of your fly time
