Dryn, sorry I should have posted this better. With the mimic you are considered grappled, but the only way to free yourself or a weapon is to make a strength check.

Kithan, Jagdbach is grappled due to the mimic being on it, but when attacking with any weapon, including natural weapons you have to make a reflex or those get stuck as well then it takes a str check to free each one including themselves. So he could be grappled by the mimic and have 1 or more of his attacks stuck as well.

Kilthan slams his axe into the creature until his axe is stuck then bashes it with his shield. As he pushes it back, a trap door opens beneath the feet of the mimic. It teeters on the lip of the pit but ultimately falls into it, with Kilthan's axe still attached.

Well, the timing of that Enlarge Person could not have been more opportune - sweet damage Kilthan.


Sandy's hooves get tangled with the mimic causing Justin to have to dismount (Move action). He lands on his feet and slams the axe into the mimic killing it.

Kilthan steps past the tangled up Sandy and slam his now enlarged axe into the mimic bite Jagdbach killing that one.

Dryn'taka takes out her mace and connects with a solid blow, but then has her weapon stuck fast.

Kilthan can relate to you all that it takes about a half minute (5 rounds) for the adhesive from the mimics to lose potency after they die

Now free, Jagdbach runs in a wide arc around the remaining mimic, looking for an openining where he can sink his teeth into it.

Kilthan swings his battle axe, thinking, Maybe I should have risked my waraxe after all,, and brings it down on the remaining mimic.

Kilthan, it takes 30 seconds or 5 rounds to get free after grappled/stuck

Kilthan moves over and finishes off the mimic. After a half minute Dryn'taka, Sandy, Jagdbach and all of your weapons come free. Kilthan looks into the pit and sees the combination of the fall and the numerous spikes at the bottom finished off that mimic, his axe lays next to it at the bottom.

he then reloads her crossbow and looks around to the others to see if anyone had any bad wounds that needed tending, "How did everyone fare through those things?"

I'm at 48/65. If Jagdbach is hurt as well as Sally, a channel might be nice. Didn't he get grappled too?

I can cast CMW once per day on each of you. Save the Channel for battle when my action economy is probably better spent on spells or hexes.

Dryn is healed up and a rope can be lowered to retrieve Kilthan's axe.

The crates and chests remaining are all filled with cloth, bottles of ale, and chainmail links.

Appraise DC 15:
All of it is basically worthless, the cloth is rough, the ale spoiled, and the chainmail links partially rusted. You think it is put here to keep up appearances in case of inspections

There are two doors on the south wall that are made of strong wood and is apparent that they have been replaced recently (within a year or two). They both have locks. You are certain the doors to the north are false made to lure you into the trap. The is the catwalk is 15' above that has a door on the south wall as well. (And plenty of crates to pile up if Kilthan wants to resume doing that.

If you pick the right boxes, yes. Moving and stacking boxes will get Kilthan up on the catwalk. On the Catwalk...yeah From up here you have a better view of the door on the south wall of the catwalk. It does not look like the other two down below and hasn't been replaced.

Did we established whether Kilthan could recover his throwing-axe by reaching down the hole?

Kilthan starts moving crates into place and getting ready to climb, eyeing the catwalk as he does, Looks like it's built for a bunch of people, which is good, since I weigh that much right now...


It is 40' deep, so no he couldn't. But I think someone could lower a rope and climb down to get it or Aarakess could use her fly to do it.

I can use my flight hex 7 times per day in 1 minute increments. Using a single minute is no problem. I can also survey the room from above.

Aarakess uses the Flight Hex to recover the axe. She also carefully examines the pit to determine whether there is anything else of note in the deep well.

Actually, Cieslx should be able to fly down and retrieve the axe. He is not strong, but the axe should only be a few pounds.

Anala watches as Aarakess her and her draconic companion fly about getting a sense of things as Kilthan builds steps out of boxes to reaches the upper walkway. As Justin mounts his horse again she is consfused by his action and comments, "Human custom is normally dismounting and walking into buildings."

She does not move far into the warehouse from her location without stepping first where others have done so, as not to open up any more traps.

"Which way?" She asks of those scouting ahead

There are two doors on the south wall, both locked and have been recently replaced. Kilthan is going to climb up using boxes and crates to the catwalk where there is a door up there on the south wall, unlocked and in poor condition.

With everything else being a trap, I would think that the unused and apparently abandoned door is more likely the correct one. If nothing else, we can check it out before we check the south doors. I would rather not have something appear on the catwalk and begin shooting at us if there is something less than pleasant behind the south doors.

Justin dismounts, nods and prepares to follow Kilthan whatever way he chooses. He learned to trust the instincts of Kilthan when he didn't have his smart horse to help him.

Kilthan climbs onto the catwalk and begins carefully creeping forward, keeping a lookout for more surprises, like the pit trap and mimics below.

The catwalk is safe, but Kilthan notices some footprints int he dust leading up to the wall to the north. Searching there more carefully he finds a hidden secret door. You auto made the DC for tracking and rolled a good perception!
