Is it okay if I make an alias for my planned cohort now?
Can cohorts take traits?

I don't know, I was planning on communicating with my sharks through a series of gill whistles or something like that.
Male Halfling Fighter (Unbreakable) 1/Summoner 4
Nalgi, gills can't whistle. They extract oxygen from the water as it flows through them, and the gills are actually completely open to the water.

It seems we lost a lot of posts yesterday.

I'll have the combat started tonight when I get off work. I have it all planned already. It's going to be pretty epic. No ship battle rules yet. I may end up just not using them. You guys are creative enough to come up with awesome ambushception tactics, so let's roll with it.
See what I did there? Haha

Now that that's done I guess I'll click my tongue or something like that.

Ya, that would help, also what size is the ship and how do we know it's Cheliax? Does it look like a merchant ship, a fishing ship or a warship?
Male Human Pathfinder Society GM
Late evening, merchant ship, Cheliax flag on mast. Looks lightly armed as far as cannons go.

In manuals and stuff anything truly bigger than Colossal actually gets put as Colossal+ for their size category. Does that mean there could be a Colossal++?

Steven, just a suggestion so take it how you will, I know you're busy, but if you aren't using a map it would really help us to start combats with a REALLY detailed post of our environment before each one. The fewer questions we have the less you have to post. Still not sure what type of ship the Inauspicious Grin is, nor the Cheliax cargo ship (there are some solid types in Ultimate Combat which can be found on the SRD).
Male Human Pathfinder Society GM
You are very right Delben. That is actually something I plan on doing Saturday, giving you a reference to the exact kind of ship and a map of the ship for you. Assume for now that both ships are roughly the same size as the mans promise from skull and shackles.
For now, assume the ships are twenty feet apart, due to the successful navigation from Delben.
Nalgi, you are about thirty feet away from the spellcaster, but he is above you on the aft castle by about fifteen feet. Antal is with you. You are unaware if there are any other soldiers with the spellcaster though.
Delben, you have a clear line of sight to the spellcaster, and the person navigating the Chelaxian vessel. There is no one else with the spellcaster. There are about fifteen soldiers on the deck of the Chelaxian ship, but five are injured from the cannon volley from Harvey.
Urlak is about to lead a boarding party of five onto the Chelaxian ship. You have five more men on your ship who are about to board them as well, but they lack a leader.
Sorry for the lack of detail. I'm a manager at a grocery store and inventory has been this week. You guys are a lot more adamant about playing than the pbp groups I'm playing in, and I love that.
Does that set everyone up well? If there are more questions just let me know. Since there aren't any maps, we'll just play it kind of loose in combat, so rule of cool it up! Go ahead and assume things like you're where you want to be before boarding the enemy, or when you are not in direct combat. Assumptions will help us a lot, I think. Just try to be realistic with movement and all. You could get across a ship to engage someone in one round, but you wouldn't be able to get across, climb the mast, and engage someone, you know what I mean?

I hope you guys don't feel like I'm neglecting the game. I'm just having a helluva week at work. We should be back on schedule with my three posts a day on Tuesday. Sorry again!
Male Human Pathfinder Society GM
Also, I apologize if the combat is running a little weird. It's my first pbp, but I'm getting hang of it quickly. I am appreciative of any tips you guys might have to make it better! I want everyone to have fun.

Heh, it's cool Steven, life happens and your week did seem nuts! Other than the initiative suggestion I think combat is going really well.
Male Halfling Fighter (Unbreakable) 1/Summoner 4
Hey steven! I know this is a little late to ask this, but can I use the Blood God Disciple archetype, even though I don't technically meet the prerequisites? The archetype basically allows the eidolon to eat recent kills to grant benefits to the Summoner and his allies.
Male Human Pathfinder Society GM
Just waiting on Laurastine. Then we'll go on to round three. Also, I'm looking over the archetype. I'll let you know soon
Male Halfling Fighter (Unbreakable) 1/Summoner 4
If I can use the archetype, I use the evolution point to give myself improved natural armor (+2 nat. AC).
I'll get a post up in the morning.

In the captain's quarters there is a locked chest, and a table with enough navigational maps to provide a +5 circumstance bonus on knowledge: geography checks made to find ports and shipping lanes. There is also a large oaken table that can serve as both map table and dining table, with enough room and cutlery/dishes for five people, all made of silver. The officers quarters are bare, save for a small, unlocked chest that contains two masterwork daggers and a pouch with 500gp, hidden in a panel on the bottom side. All bedding is in the form of hammocks, save the Captain's bed, which is a massive four post down mattress. In the gunner's lock room there are 4 masterwork pistols, 1 +1 pistol, fifteen boarding axes, ten grappling hooks and enough rope for them, and thirty cutlasses, along with the cannonballs and bullets. There is enough rope and ship supplies that you have enough to not worry about it unless something drastic happens more than twice. I am assuming there Capt.
