"I honestly believe that the chances of something going wrong increase drastically if they are there." Jimmy responds honestly
"That's true. But I'd take the risk. They are with us from the start and it feels wrong to exclude them now."
"Ok then... Should we so it at Sandpoint, or do you have somewhere in mind?"
"Sandpoint would be nice, but I guess it would be easier to get Father Zantus to Magnimar where most of the guests live, than to get the guests to Sandpoint."
"Would your mother be happy with a different priest marrying us in her temple?"
"She did serve along with Father Zantus in the Sandpoint temple for years. It would really surprise me if this were an issue."
"Then Magnimar it is." Jimmy says with a smile holding her hands across the table.
"So what order do we go then? Get your parents to Magnimar? Ask Father Zantus? Or take care of the dress first?" Gwenhwyfar asks.
"Well the dress we want to get in Magnimar." Jimmy says thinking. "I think we should get my parents to Magnimar, speak to your mum, get the dress, and then fetch the father."
"I guess we have to give Father Zantus a fair warning though. We can't expect him to come with us on Sunday without knowing before." Gwenhwyfar muses. "But if we get everyone to Magnimar now, we could inform him tomorrow. Shall we go back to your parents and tell them?"
"That sounds good." Jimmy says with a smile
Jimmy stands and takes Gwen's hand. Together they make their way through town to the Fiddle house.
He knocks on the door.
"Jimmy! We wondered where you were off to. Liz! Jimmy is back." Jakob shouts as he pulls open the front door.
"Whaat!" Elizabeth shouts from inside the house.
Jimmy and Gwen see her walk through a door onto the main hallway, wiping her brow with a cloth, "You weren't here this morning. We were getting worried." she says as she see's them
"Sorry mum, dad. Gwen and I have some news." He says to them, "Can we talk in the lounge?" He asks.
They nod, a worried look coming over both of them. They file into the lounge and as they are out of earshot Jimmy whispers to Gwen, "Do you want to tell them or shall I?"
"Well, we sorted through all the misunderstandings about proposals and such and on Sunday we're getting married in Magnimar. Want to pack and come along right now?" Gwenhwyfar tells the good news.
"Of course we would love to!" Elizabeth says, "Jakob, go pack." she says, and he listens, standing and nodding to his son before leaving. "Jimmy go help your father. Gwen, do you have a dress? Where will the wedding be? Do you have a priest? Bridesmaids? Who is catering?" and so on and so on
"I have an excellent tailor, I have a temple of my own, and I probably have a priest. With the catering I'm not sure, but either the crew of our orphanage could support us or the priest from Abomentolor's temple could help with that." Gwenhwyfar tells.
"Oh that is fantastic! You have so much already organised." Elizabeth says genuinely excited. "Wait... Did you say Abomentolor?"
"Yes. Do you know him? It's a small orange haired gnome." Gwenhwyfar asks.
"He burned down a farmer's barn a couple years ago... He trapped the same poor man in a stone dome in the center of town last night." Elizabeth says as her face falls
"Yeah, that sounds like him. Why did he trap him tough?" Gwenhwyfar replies.
"The farmer refused to pay him for burning his barn down."
"Oh, hurt pride. That is bad. Last time someone managed to aggravate him in Magnimar it caused a major diplomatic crisis in the town. But that guy did actually kill him and not only not pay him - but still." Gwenhwyfar tells.
Elizabeth laughs at Gwen, until she realizes that Gwen isn't actually joking. At that point she stares in abject horror for a moment before asking "And you want his gnome at your wedding?"
"Oh, he actually is a nice guy. Just if you feel like starting a brawl at the wedding, then you shouldn't choose him for that." Gwenhwyfar replies. "And if someone tries to ruin my wedding - a single word from me and he will burn that one to ashes."
"A'nice guy' doesn't imprison someone in stone over 3 gold."
"What happened back then, when he burned the barn down?" Gwenhwyfar asks.
"I honestly don't know the full story." Elizabeth replies
"Then we can ask him later. I have to take him to Magnimar too." Gwenhwyfar suggests. "How long will it take until you have packed? You can't bring too much, only what you can carry."
"Give me about an hour." Elizabeth responds still slightly in shock
Gwenhwyfar walks out the door and takes a seat on the porch.
Elizabeth sits for a while before she stands to go pack
"She is a nice girl." Jakob says after a few minutes of silence in the room. "Are you ready for marriage?"
"She is the most amazing girl I have ever met... And that does worry me slightly, I think that evrn if we are not quite ready we will support each other and make it work..." Jimmy says pausing between folding shirts
"Well... from yesterday and now and how you speak of her, I know you love her honestly... that is log enough reason for anyone to give it a go. Goodluck son." He says giving his son a massive grin
She didn't even ask why she can only bring what she can carry. If she knows teleportation magic? Gwenhwyfar wonders while rocking with the chair.
Abomentolor gets up and enjoys the breakfast in the inn. Then he goes for a walk over the market. But all the people avoid him, giving him a wide berth.
Finally he end up on the farm again.
A maid comes out of the house, the fear clearly showing in her face while she approaches the gnome. "Here, your gold." she tells holding out the coins. Eager to get out she hurries away as soon as he takes them.
"Well. I guess I'm done here. Where is our travel agaent? We can go now." But he can't ask someone where the Fiddle house is, as no one is willing to answer. They either avoid him or if they can't they feign to not know.
Tauriell watches this from a distance and is amused by the failure of Abomentolor. She visits a market stand, buys a few apples and manages to engage the woman there into a conversation.
But where the house of the Fiddles is she doesn't learn. Returning to Abomentolor she tells him "It can't be that hard to find that again. We walked past it yesterday. And this one horse town isn't that big."
As Gwenhwyfar sees Tauriell and Abomentolor wandering down the street she jumps up walks out where they can see her and waves them over. "We are leaving soon." she tells them.
"Good. I'm done with this town." Abomentolor replies.
"I guess if there were any bridges left he burnt them successfully." Tauriell comments.
"Apropos burning. I heard you burned a barn some time ago and now you imprisoned the owner of this farm in stone?" Gwenhwyfar asks.
At this point Elizabeth comes outside holding a burlap bag over her shoulder. Seeing the orange haired Gnome, she carefully places the bag on the floor, "Is this Abomentolor?" She asks Gwen
"I see the gossip still works in hick-town. I burned a dozen goblins that rampaged through the area and threatened people and property. That barn was just collateral damage. It would have burned anyway, with or without my involvement. And instead of paying me the promised three gold pieces they chased me out of town with a torch and pitchfork mob."
"Hard luck for them that the times a simple farmer can chase me around are over." Abomentolor replies.
Gwenhwyfar looks at Elizabeth to check if she still needs that answered. "Then I guess he can call himself lucky to be still alive." Gwenhwyfar comments rolling her eyes.
"Killing him would have been over the top." Abomentolor replies. "So when do we leave?"
Encasing him in stone was probably over the top as well. Elizabeth thinks to herself. I remember hearing of those goblins, and the stories of the burning are from about the same time as the goblins. It could be true. She chastises herself slightly for forming an opinion on one side of the story, but she still doesn't hold a high opinion of him
