The girls giggle with delight as they watch Mal draw out the message on the stone. They eagerly copy the phrase, and then proceed to write it out in three other languages as they giggle even more.
Hearing Jax ask about the lake outside, their eyes widen in awe and they speak reverently:
"That lake is a special place. A sacred place. It is one of the wonders of the first world... but beyond that, I don't think anyone really knows what it was for!"
As soon as they finish they start out laughing once more.
However, they fall truly silent as soon as they hear Farrin's tale. They turn to each other and appear lost in thought. They stay this way for about a minute before turning back to you with blanket stares. They say in unison in a flat voice:
"Would you like to play hide and seek?"

Vai has not yet relinquished her grip on her blade nor buckler. Not taking her eyes of the fae for a moment she talks to her companions.
"Perhaps we should leave these strange creatures to their precious activities. Regardless of everyone's feelings about innocence or not, they have proved themselves dangerous. Dangerous is as dangerous does."

You all slowly back away from the girls, who make no effort to follow you. Once you are down the passage and out of sight, you can hear their merry laughter begin again.
Back at the fork, you take the left passage and shortly further on notice the group beginning the slope downwards. It spirals around a bit as you notice the air getting noticeably more damp, and heavy moss and other fungi grow along all the walls and floor. Eventually you find yourself in a large room, the sweet smell of wet and slightly rotting vegetation is strong in the air, though it seems to smell almost pleasant. Sunlight shines down in small beams of light from the ceiling, and it is apparent tree roots have broken through parts of the dirt above, leaving parts of the sky above open into this chamber.
In a far corner of the room, you notice a large growth of pale yellow flowers among the thick vines of some plants. A sort of sickly yellow vapor seems to hang in the air about them.

I make a perception check on both the areas of the rotting vegetation and near the yellow flowers to see if I can spot anything of interest. I take 10, making my perception 13 total.

Malbrighka |

As Malbrighka steps closer to the pale yellow flowers, standing behind Jax and looking around his body, she holds her breath, not wanting to inhale the thick dust. After about ten seconds she steps back and begins to breathe normally.
perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6

Moving close enough to get a look, Jax and Mal do not notice anything special, just a large patch of these yellow flowers. On the far side of the cavern it appears there is another entrance.

Jax Will: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12

As they examine the plants, suddenly one of the flowers bursts open, spraying the two in the face with a cloud of pollen! It manages to hit them both, but thank the gods Mal was holding her breathe! Jax is not so lucky...
Spores begin to enter his mind, and suddenly he feels an overwhelming feeling of attraction to the flower. Entranced, he slowly begins to walk closer as if in a daze.
Jax, you are entranced for 6 rounds and can do nothing really other than walk towards the plant

Marrant |

"Uh, yeah. That can't be good" Marrant will attempt to grapple Jax asking the rest of the group, "Lend me a hand here!"
grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 (+2 for each member of the party that assists)
Marrant doesn't have the Improved Grapple feat so this will provoke an AoO (if an entranced character can take one)
He'll add, "Whatever you do, hold your breath!" after which he'll follow his own advice.
If successful, next round he'll attempt to move away from the plant with Jax at 1/2 his movement rate

Vai'anassena See |

Vai makes a Will save to see if she will assist. DC 15.
Craven or Cautious?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Vai stands her ground, unwilling to get close to the undeniably harrowing Elder botanic nightmare in the corner. She grips her blade and buckler and looks around for the Elder nightmare's companions…
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Malbrighka |

When the cloud of pollen surround her and Jax, she takes a step back and puts a sleeve over her nose and mouth. She closes her eyes by instinct. She opens them when she hears Marrant calling for assistance to see him trying to hold back Jax with Bey’s assistance. Taking a breath through her sleeve, she attempts to grab one of Jax’s leg.
Grapple aid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

While Vai watches, Mal and Beylinda stumble forth, attempt to grab Jax, but the elf proves too nimble, and manages to escape them as he hobbles towards the yellow plant.
Marrant recognizes the danger and moves into action! He successfully manages to restrain the entranced Jax!

No AoO Marrant. Ok, so we are going to drop to initiative. Let's just go you guys, bad guy, you guys, bad guys. We'll consider its attack a surprise action. So, I still need a round one action from Farrin, and then Jax, you will need to spend your standard to try and escape grapple, and move if able after that.

not sure what this is based off of, but since my guy is entranced, I have no choice but to try to escape grapple and move towards the plant. don't know: 1d20 ⇒ 6 the dm can add my modifier, because I don't know what this goes off of.

Marrant |

You would add your combat manoeuvre bonus (CMB)

Marrant will try to maintain the grapple and move away from the flowers with Jax (1/2 move=15')

Farrin seeing that the Elf is taken care off Would head towards the plant 20', trusting in his being a Dwarf (as proved by the twenty two endorsments in his papers that say he is a dwarf.) and that his beard is like a filter Farrin would get close to the Yellow Plant and try to chop it down.[/I]
