Jax looks at beylinda chumana with a confusing look? You want to know why a prayer is looking for you. Or you want to know I pray and why I'm looking for you?

Jax then explains his backstory to the group and introduces himself. I'm not retyping it all just look at my character sheet. The summary is that his town isn't in danger, but he knew of another one hundreds of miles away that was in danger and that he has heard of this group.

Vai smiles pleasantly at the elf.

"It's a figure of speech Jax. "Pray tell". "Prithee". We are none of us experts at idiom or parlance. Think of it as a nice way to ask something. Put simply - why do you seek us out?"

Vai listens to Jax explain his past.

Vai thinks on his story.

Seems reasonable. We are none of us here for no reason…

Jax smiles. Sure, I'll sign, but as far as the pistol goes, the bullets and gun is expensive. I won't fire it just yet, not to mention it could misfire and jam or even explode. When I get a little more training I will show you, also I really use this in combat as bullets and gunpowder are expensive, not to mention the range on these things are small when compared to my heavy crossbow. I worship Cayden Cailean. So now that I have found you all, where do any of you suggest we head to next?

Farrin pulls out a scroll, silver quill and one of the vials of silver ink, He hands the scroll to Jax to read.

"Jax this is the contract we all signed."

Spoiler:

Charter: We agree to join this Corporation willingly.

Each of the Founders will receive 1 share
Each member upon signing will receive 1 share in our LLC.
Each member will receive 1 more share per mission they complete.
Each member will receive 1 more share per month they are a member.
The board can vote to grant an extra(free) share to someone else for conduct beyond the norm, by simply majority vote.

All income that our LLC receives will be divided in the following manner: 1 equal part to each member of the expedition, 2 parts equal to our LLC.

Each member can buy themselves out at 50% the value of their portion of the shares, if the board does not decide disband when a member wishes to leave.

(Signed)
Beylinda Chumana, Malbrighka,Vai'anassena, Marrant ,Farrin Durzak(I give half my shares to Durzak my family axe, but ill hold them on its behalf)

Current Shares are as Follows:
3: Beylinda
3: Malbrighka
3: Marrant
3: Vai'Anessena
1: Farrin
2: Durzak

Share Value: Whatever coin we aquire until we get back to surface. (Previous to going into the Pit we spent 100% of corp funds on supplies.

"You would be entitled to one share our LLC when you sign this document."

"Once we reach the surface you will receive your 2nd share, we will receive our 3rd share. Founding the corporation was worth 2 shares each. Going back in time to the founding of Finwad's Pit when it was newly built was worth 1 share, if not more.

This will put your voice in the LLC as powerful as myself or my grandpap's axe, but half as loud as any of the others. Unless you do something to get three of the five of us to think its worth a share. Which considering each share is worth a single piece of paper, I doubt that you or any of us will be cashing out for a fair while."

Game Master

You all head back into the wood, and surprisingly cannot seem to find your way back to the fortress, despite following what you swear was the same pathway. After about an hour, you do, however, find yourselves on a small ledge overlooking the shore of a crystal clear lake.

The water is a beautiful shade of ice blue, and the water is perfectly still. Partially obscured by vegetation is a the gaping maw of a cave on the other side of the lake.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Wizard 1, Magus 1

Farrin casts detect magic multiple times, trying to see if thelake, or water, or vegetation is magical in nature, or more mundane, all the while keeping Durzak in hand at the ready.

Jax examines the vegetation. What food is over there?
Taking 10, making my perception a 13.
I'm also going to pull out my battleaxe, just in case something comes running out of the cave, I'll have my weapon drawn.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Wizard 1, Magus 1

Farrin nods at the elf bearing a proper weapon.

Game Master

The water itself does not detect as magical, though there is a hint of magical aura in the air about you.

Jax takes the lead, battle axe drawn, and walks around the lake towards the cave, checking out the interesting foliage. There do appear to be a few edible plants, some wild berries and herbs, but you are unsure whether they are truly something you would want to eat.

Didn't say I wanted to head over to the cave yet and take the lead, but that's okay. I assume Farrin detected no magic. Jax will take a second to walk over to the water and touch it, to see if it is different than normal water, then Jax will pull out, but not yet activate a sun rod in his other free hand, just in case it is dark in there and then head into the cave. Not wasting my sunrod in case it isn't dark in there.

ah, when you said you went to check out the plants I assumed you were going over by the cave, since that is where the plants I mentioned were. sorry about that

Jax, the water is extremely cold to the touch, but it does feel like water. However, when you touch it and ripples go out across the surface, it seems to make the sound of a bell chiming across the water and the color of the water changes from deep blue to purple to pink to yellow green orange back to blue etc.

You all walk into the cave, trying to follow the sounds Mal heard. The cave walls are heavy with condensation, and thick moss grows everywhere. Here and there, water drips from stalactites on the ceiling. The cave goes in for 10 or so yards before it splits off in three directions. To the left and right, it narrows and curves too sharp for you to see, but straight ahead you can see sunlight streaming down from cracks in the ceiling, glittering off a small pool of water. You can clearly hear that the childlike giggles appear to be coming from that room.

Jax notices how cool the cave wall is. It's so sleek and shiny with condensation and beautiful beautiful moss. Maybe you could make some sort of exotic hippy tea out of the moss, but that is about it.

As you move closer into the small cave with the clear pool of water, you notice a small waterfall trickling down off the walls into the pool. At first glance, it appears to be very deep. It soon becomes obvious where the sound of laughter is coming from. What appears to be two small girls sit playfully on some rocks, splashing each other and giggling. They both appear to be drenched by head to toe and do not seem to notice you. The water seems to sparkle and gleam as if gold layered the bottom...

Suddenly she stiffens. Like a bolt from the blue, a voice interrupts her train of thought.

Jax will then make another perception check for the water and to look at the gold.perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Game Master

Marrant, you do not notice anything coming in from behind you. In fact, you are oddly memorized by the two girls.

Jax, the girls appear to be children, about 9 or so human years. Probably a little young for you. But then again, you are Chaotic... They have brilliant blue eyes and dark hair and are soaking wet.

The two girls startle as you speak and both turn in tandem to look at you before bursting out giggling once more.

"*teehee* oh gosh no, no village here! Sarah, was there ever a village here?"

-- "No, Tammy, I don't believe there has ever been a village here."

The first one turns back to you and puts her hands on her hips very matter of fact like.

"Nope. No village here."

They then resume playing in the water, seemingly oblivious to you. Or at least they sure don't seem to care about you anyways.

They speak to you over their shoulder in unison.

"Wouldn't you like to come play with us?"

Yep, definitely too young for Jax, even with chaotic and no laws back then it is impossible at that age, not to mention disappointment hoping they were much older, just small no young. Jax will get closer to the waterfall, take 10 on his perception making it a 13. And if the gold like objects in the water look like actual valueable objects Jax is going to pull them out, assuming he can just reach his hand in without having to go into the water entirely and having to dive in and assuming the objects look valueable, otherwise if they look like toys, Jax isn't going to bother.

Jax will also ask Where are your parents?

Game Master

Jax, it looks like real, good old fashioned gold, jewels, gems, jewelry, etc. Shiny shiny.

The girls just look at you when asked about parents and then burst out laughing.

So Jax, the pool is about 3 feet deep, you would need to get in to grab the gold. Do you touch the water?
