I'm in the same spot. I'm sure that I am missing something for equipment, but for the life of me I don't know what it is.
I did look at special materials, but the Eberron ones for the most part are over the 1000gp limit for weapons. Had to make alot of tough choices.
I'll be working out some of my standard alias's this weekend.

Okay, 11th hour mechanics switch! On my way home tonight, I was thinking more about the whole Adamantine Body thing, and how other than proficiency, it really would be a better idea for Flametouched to have that for its body design than Mithral Body, especially since I still had the option of switching to the cinder dance revelation, so I could bump myself back up to a 30 ft move (the only spell I currently have that works with burning magic is burning hands, and it only does 1 point every round. Woopdedoo). That thought floated through my head for awhile as I drove the rain, when suddenly two words popped into my brain from out of the darkness: "armored hulk."
Man, that archetype might well have been written with warforged barbarians specifically in mind - not necessarily because of the mechanics, but because of the flavor.
Anyway, so I changed things around just a bit. Flametouched is now an armored hulk barbarian, encased in adamantine, and has the cinder dance revelation instead. This caused me to drop its Acrobatics ranks in lieu of two ranks in Diplomacy and one in Intimidate, as well as swapping the self-oriented shield of faith for the group-oriented bless.
I hope this all passes muster - assuming it does, I am good to go when the GM is!

Does the warforged repair kit (ECS equipment chapter) count as mundane gear? It doesn't actually say it's masterwork, but it looks like it's masterwork artisan's tools by a different name.
It's expendable, and therefore comes out of starting wealth. Only non-masterwork, non-expendable, non-magical gear does not.

It depends on where you go! This will be a pretty PC-driven, sandbox-style campaign.
Human is an excellent choice in most campaigns. Constructs and undead are always good choices in Eberron, though.
As for terrain, I'll actually be starting things off tomorrow in the Demon Wastes! Surprise! A tiny and extremely dangerous Wastes town called Festering Holt, to be specific.

Good morning, folks. I'm getting ready to create the gameplay thread right now. Keep an eye out, and post as often as you can.
Mind you that this is my first venture into online PbP gaming, though I've been GMming for approximately forever. I apologize in advance for any snags that arise or PbP concepts that I'm not immediately familiar with.

The campaign thread is up!
EDIT: OOC dialogue can occur in this thread, if you prefer. If you'd rather I create a Discussion Thread, I will.
