She is incredibly talented!

You do not need to actually use the instrument to use inspire courage or to cast spells.

Only your countersong ability is actually helped by pulling out the mandolin.

yes, Phoebee.

The only time you would need to use the Mandolin, would be if an actual perform check were involved and the skill of that check relevant.

And the only abilities that require those are Countersong and Distraction... and both of those require different performance types.
Keyboard, percussion, wind, string, or sing for the first.
Act, comedy, dance, or oratory for the later.

But taking a rank in a different perform that would not require hands would allow the same benefit correct?

you don't need any ranks in perform at all to use most of your abilities (but for the a fore mentioned two)

So don't let it steer your choice. You can have any instrument focus you'd like, it won't hinder much of anything.

Do you guys care if we keep the same gameplay thread going forward?

Can create a new one, if its a concern, otherwise, will probably keep this one, just rename it slightly to reflect the next scenario.

Also, if anyone has any Faction Journal Card items of interest, keep those in mind.

Haldyr (the ghoul) was CR 1, the other zombies 1/2, so no unfortunately.

OK, going to apologize ahead of time, but the next few days' posts will probably include veritable walls of text.

Going to try to split them up some, so they are more manageable... but I like to be descriptive whilst I pass you your info... so sometimes they get away from me =)

We are basically at the end of this one (just some RP and a question really (you might want to reread your mission goals)).

I am not going to be using the typical mission briefings for the next, nor the typical ending for this one, so will have to ad lib a bunch in between.... thus the previously mentioned walls.

(Even more so now that I looked at a map 8P )

We started on the 27th and ended on the 27th... so it took us a month.
Think that's pretty much average for these sorts of things... though the post volume was considerably higher, so well done all.

That is not bad, it took us almost 3 to finish when I did this in Core.

3 months? Ouch. That's a long time.

Liberty's Edge

It took the DM about a month to figure out how to handle people leaving at the beginning of the module, being down 2 we got our tookus handed to us with the fight with the cleric. We had a rogue that was not up flanking but getting a -4 for shooting his sling into combat. Everyone but my celesital sorcerer and the rogue went down before the problem of what to do with missing characters was solved.

Ah... Frozen Fingers...
One part PFS adventure.
One part romance.

OK, we are done with the first part here. The above mentioned walls of text will continue tomorrow as I get you from here to where you need to be for the next bit.

Since this is part of Gameday5, there are boons to be won. I've no idea what those boons are just yet, but I believe you win one on either a 20 or a 16 (2016, get it?).

Rolling for just that! Will sort it out if someone wins.

Jones: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Malusha: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Masym: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Nella: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Phoebee: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Wei Tchak: 1d20 ⇒ 12
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 4

edit: Looks like Phoebee will get something! Hurray. Now I guess I have to figure out what that is. =)

Chronicles incoming shortly via the emails you gave me. Let me know if I mucked anything up.
Also, as mentioned earlier, I made them all form fillable ... so you can enter the values right onto the pdf and save them if you want... or just print them as is, and write the same values in. Just me experimenting.

Chronicles sent.

Phoebee... you need to roll a d6 to determine what boon you get.
Once you do, I'll report the completed scenario.

Apparently, its totally random this year =)

Oh, also, the reporting form has a field for player emails... not sure if I just fill this out for someone who's won a boon, or if I need to do it for everyone (have posted a query as to such on the gameday thread)

But in case the later, are folks ok if I use the same emails you gave me for the chronicle to be sent to? If not, let me know.

okay with me re: email addy.

How are we going to explain Wei Tchak's absence for the next scenario?

Short answer: you look like food. =)

Long answer: Got that part sorted and will play out during the upcoming walls of text (you will be setting up the third part when we get there).

Its my own damn fault for looking at a map.

Thought, hey, that one can leave them in Irrisen, and this one starts in Irrisen... perfect!

Until i noticed that those two points in Irrisen were about 300 miles apart ... and it was too late to turn back =)

Will be Shades of Ice, Part 1 (1-5)

Also, as I was pondering things, it turns out I messed up the chronicles!

Used the wrong Event Code!

Coises! Will have to redo those and send them out again. (All the other info is correct)

I have never really paid attention to them since I have never won them. Would I get to like play another race or something?

"Dead-Eye" Jones wrote:

Pretty much straight away.

Just have to type up all the travel descriptions and the intro to the next bit.

Phoebee wrote:

Unlikely. Although race boons are out there, they usually are not the random player won ones.

The only hint they gave for this boon is
Player Boon #6: FEAR ME! (over and over and over and over…)

Take from that what you will. =)

You probably won't receive it for a while though (I've never gotten any boons until after the Gameday was completed) unless they've streamlined it more.

Alright, session reported to the Gameday folks (we were #7 ... so I assume that means we were the 7th game to finish and report in)
I just needed to enter the email of folks who won a boon.

I believe the boon you won is called Brutal Reputation and has something to do with Intimidate.

Beyond that, no clue =)

Will continue on here later today (have a long meeting coming up) though it will be mostly just text getting you to the next bit.

Also, will be renaming the campaign thread here in a bit to reflect the new scenario.

Does the boon go to me or to the character?

To you, Jason.

You can then use it on any character you want. Or hold on to it to use later.

Again though, you probably won't get it for a while.
