Well if the Invisible Jax had hit, or the now comatose Grumblejack could have grappled, we may have been ok, now I guess we can surrender to boneman.
Dren make your AoO and add your bonuses from our halfling ally!

Edit, just checked mine is turned on, but I cannot send you a PM, perhaps yours is turned off?

Well! A certain four and a half year old girl had a trip on a train, a trip on a subway, a long walk through downtown Frankfurt, and then a trip to the zoo. Her favorite thing: the flamingos. (because they're pink.) Also good: getting a two-scoop ice cream cone all to herself to eat as slowly as she liked; bats (not scary! really!); ring seals; and baby crocodiles. Also, the lady at the hotel desk gave her a lollipop and a little bouncy ball.
The day ended with pizza and french fries and reading a book. And then she slept for eleven and a half hours, straight.
Douglas Muir 406 |
She really was a good girl. No whining, no fussing. We walked for several miles altogether and she was just solid. She got a little cranky towards the end of day one -- low blood sugar, fatigue -- but that was totally normal, and quickly solved by pizza and bedtime.
Also, I bought her a LEGO Creation set to build a little car, and she totally nailed it.

Hm..I suspect the lizard is dead too! ...I love burst builds.
of course, Jax is now down to 1 spell, 0 arcane points on his sword and only 5 arcane points overall.

And we have a powerful Captain.
Overboard.
With enemies still in the water.
We did not even need Edmin to bullrush that creep.
In other words, unless the Captain can water walk or call forth waves, we have the ship my friends.
What does it take to to sail a ship that is already crewed?
Jax Naismith |
First you have to convince the crew to sail the ship. Then, I'm assuming, Profession (Sailor). I really wouldn't be surprised in the captain could water walk and call forth krakens to ride on. When a seer warns you not to fight someone under certain conditions, I tend to listen.
Jax Naismith |
It wouldn't be a bad idea to have Grumblejack slug Jax when he gets up--to show that they at least attempted to keep the guy from getting kidnapped/slain. At the very least, it will suggest to the captain that his passengers are weak and pathetic.

I don't think we're going to have the time to do that, Cimu. I estimate we have maybe 3-4 rounds tops before someone comes downstairs to investigate. Somehow in that time frame we are trying to: talk to the halfling, heal grumblejack, search the boneman, cast invisibility on the boneman and get the boneman out of the area and overboard.
Douglas Muir 406 |
Well, one round is spent pulling Grumblejack over to the crate. The halfling murmurs something singsong and reaches out through the little feeding-slot.
"This will slow the effect of the creature's poison. It won't cure him, but it will give his body time to heal naturally.. Did you cut its head off, by the way?"
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
You don't have to concentrate to keep it active so it would last until it expires or is dispelled or interacted with to cause a save for someone to see through it... IMO.
Xenfal |
doesnt message only let you speak with the person who cast it? ie judge could speak to Zimu, but not to Xen?

alright, are we confirming the plan that we will make the body invisible then have Morsuum or a water elemental escape with the (invisible) body?

Some clarification: I've taken a job in Pristina, Kosovo. Meanwhile, we're cramming in a family vacation to Paris next week. (We've been planning that for a while. Since we live in Germany, Paris is just a half day train ride away.) The family won't move until August, so I'll be alone in Kosovo for a couple of months.
What this means: for the next couple of days, Mrs. Muir will be trying to get as much husband-work out of me as possible before I disappear. Then we'll be in Paris for six days. Then I'll be home for a couple of days, then on a plane to Kosovo. Then I'll be apartment hunting in Kosovo while figuring out the new job.
So in the short term -- like, next two weeks -- my posting may be irregular. I expect that once I'm settled down in Pristina, I'll be able to return to a more regular schedule.
That's what's going on.
Douglas Muir 406 |
I do want to carry on with the campaign. I haven't done this before, but my experience with things *like* this is that a slow patch can be dangerous -- it doesn't take more than a few days of down time before people start to lose interest and wander off. I'm hoping that won't be the case here.
cheers,
Doug M.

I will certainly be around. I think it shouldnt be a problem unless you go completely MIA for weeks at a time. As long as you check in occasionally with a
I'm in Paris suckers!!!! on occasion :P

I thought the body was /not/ invisible. Otherwise, framing Morsum for the murder wouldn't work so well. Or am I missing something?
More of a combination of the above column A and B, hide the body, get it overboard with Invincibility while both Morsum and water elementals cause havoc, I can summon one with my bonded item. But at this point I am going with what the group thinks best.
Morsum can even say 'I am the vengeance of the sea, the spirit of the Speaker, etc. etc.'
Originally I thought the combat would still be raging and we would have that as our cover.
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
Damned NPC critting the other NPC...ruined our best laid plans. :]
Yes the plan is for Morsum to have grabbed the body run up and go over to the deep blue sea. At this point Morsum is following the judges orders, Dren would have handed over the body, unless someone else forcibly tries to stop him I didn't think there was really any room for discussion so I think we can move forward whenever you are ready Doug.
Hey real life happens, you have been a heavy poster, I have been enjoying the pace. Everyone here seems pretty committed so I think we should be okay. I imagine when you get settled in you will have more time to post without the family there...unless you have to work 70 hours per week. Good luck with the move and enjoy your vacation. We will hear form you when you get back!

Have a great time in Paris Bref, taking cooking classes, you've got the hat for it!
Guys I will be working in the Hamptons Friday to Monday for Memorial Day weekend so my posting will be very light but I will be around after.
Bref (or was it Jax who had the same music tastes as me?), Steve Aoki is spinning at Lavo tonight, I'll have drink or three in your honor.
