Likewise, I will be around. Life is getting a little hectic for me, but I love this campaign so I will be here. I might not be posting 20x per day, but will almost always be on in the morning and evening with some in-day posting depending on my schedule. We are selling our home and moving across the country, so it is also going to be a crazy next few weeks.

Have a great time in Paris Bref, taking cooking classes, you've got the hat for it!
Guys I will be working in the Hamptons Friday to Monday for Memorial Day weekend so my posting will be very light but I will be around after.
Bref (or was it Jax who had the same music tastes as me?), Steve Aoki is spinning at Lavo tonight, I'll have drink or three in your honor.
I'm not that familiar with his stuff, he does dubstep, yeah? My cans are usually spilling out Styles, Hixxy and Afrojack lately.

Just to pass the time while DM gets his life on a regular schedule again and starts herding us kittens, two questions -
1. Who is your favorite fictional villain of all time?
2. In the movie, Way of the Wicked directed by Doug Muir, who would play your character? Bref gets a pick too.
And Grumblejack is of course played by Andre the Giant. Or the Rock.
Xenfal
I think newcomer Xen would be played by Benedict Cumberbatch
also I think John Goodman could be Grumblejack
Judge Tohram Quasangi
I was thinking that Kane would make a good Grumblejack.
Having seen Star Trek last night, I think the guy who played Khan, Benedict Cumberbatch would be great. Then I looked him up and realized that Xen was attempting to claim him. I will try to think of someone else with a similar pale palor and don't give a sh!t attitude.

Thumbs up for John goodman!
And Benedict Cumberbatch is a HOT actor!
Actually I can see him as the Judge, and maybe sexy Michael Fassbender as Xen, with a beautiful extravagant hat of course.

I really do not see many films, just after seeing his young Khan, I figured that it was a perfect fit for Tohram, cold, uncaring and pale with that tall gaunt look.
I had never heard of him before looking him up after seeing Star Trek.

Maybe its your avatar Judge and your description of your character, age and physicality, I always pictured the Judge more akin to say James Nesbitt or Wayne Pygram.
I mean take a look at James Nesnbitt here, where he plays a certain iconic villain.
He definitely has the Judge's Sense Motive.

Tenent is a good one
Also Danny Devito could be good for Bref
Ian McKellan for Judge...a young Sir Ian of course

Oh, and I'm in Paris tonight. Just came in by train from Mannheim. 300 miles, 3 hours. Not the famous TGV -- just an ordinary train with students and people coming home from a weekend in Germany.
(I love my country. But, what the hell. Europe has had high-speed trains for 30 years now. And they're great! Why is this so hard?)
We walked from the station to our rental apartment and had Indian takeout and put the kids to bed. Tomorrow: walking.

Actually you know who else could do Xenfal
If anyone ever watches Psych James Roday could. But only at the beginning of the series when he was in shape
Douglas Muir 406
BTW, if any of you have $25 burning a hole in your pocket, this looks like an interesting deal: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/get-industry-pros-to-gencon/x/2864064.
You get about 70 pdfs, with a nominal street value of around $450. Of course a lot of them are going to be junk, and others will be of no interest, but several of these are solid publishers and if the hit rate is just 10% then it's a pretty good deal. (If that's your sort of thing.)

Are you kidding I run a non-profit organization that is just starting, I beg for donations!

If may add my little bit of opinion here, for casting the cardinal, although they are not bald, I think Jeremy Irons (my choice), Christopher Lee, and Anthony Hopkins could all get a possible nod as the cardinal.
Maybe, although you would have to deal with his trademark accent, Sean Connery could play against type.
Bref
i think we should cast dmdm
who is the man behind the screen. I am going to go with Morgan Freeman. I mean who doesnt want to hear that voice.
Also we have to get Samuel L. Jackson in this somewhere. Maybe he is the voice of Ragnar
Edmin Al'Roth
DMDM is Anthony Hopkins playing Hannibal, no doubt about it.
"Hello Cimu."
F-ing creepy.

The captain
We know he is greedy, let's use this.
He may try to betray us, in part or completely, and even if he does not we need to get him on land, and not the shore but further inland.
Suggestions would be good here, my proposal is someone with a good Bluff, the Judge perhaps, state that our 'masters' have a new mission, one that starts immediately after this one ends. It would require the captain to meet yet another emissary of our 'masters' perhaps a half a mile inland of where we are to dock.
Of course the amount offered on the table will be staggering and impossible to resist, but still, 'realistic'.
We can even Summon an eagle or other avian in the distance and pretend it has a new message for us, one that Jax can forge, to further the deception and to peak the captains interest.

Ok, how about Jason Issacs for the Judge. Give him the look from Harry Potter without the long white elvish hair.
Oh, good call! Damned arrogant but still sexy and looks great in uniform! Link
Xenfal
guys, we know that the captain will go ashore to drink. we follow him, wait till he is drunk and weaker then kill him. Problem solved.
i learned that from my nat 20 bluff, SM fest with the drunk crew member

I think that we should discuss someone like Edmin's ability to drink anyone under the table and that Edmin likes to wager on how much he can drink, and sometimes talks when he drinks. We could "discuss" this, and then stop our conversations whenever the captain comes near so it seems like we are hiding the fact we have an alcoholic from the captain.
If we can get Edmin to drink a few on the ship, or pretend to drink, and let a few choice, albeit false, pieces of info slip. This should get the captain's interest. What better, a drinking bout, a chance to make some money, and possibly obtain information that could prove useful to the captain.
