Jiankuo goes, then Arbiscar, then the Derro and the Dire Rat will go. If healing or anything is needed, go ahead and do that before you go in the room and attack.

The derro was destroyed, its body splitting entirely in two, the dire rat, though only injured, squeals and tries to run away, cowering in fear at that brutal way in which Jiankuo just attacked it.

In the next room with straw pallets are stacks and stacks of cages full of normal rats. On a small table next to those cages is a small, shiny black rat statue—the jet rat. This artifact gives off a moderate transmutation aura. There is also evidence here - a ledger written in Undercommon - that the derro have slowly increased their slave sales over the last couple of months, with a huge surge in the last couple of weeks.

Anyone who can read Undercommon finds a note in the ledger about a human woman who escaped not long ago and the mite slave that was beaten to death for allowing it to happen.

If none of you can read undercommon, you take it back to the Pathfinder lodge and it is read there.

Taking a minute, the investigator prepares an extract of Comprehend Languages, drinks it, then translates the documents found.

"What a strange group of conspirators! Druids, necromancers, and derros. I believe the authorities should be notified of this."
