Well,... Chicken Nuggets,... ;P
I just realized that at least a spell (or two) is not from Paizo/PFRPG. I have a few selections I carried over from the original Slidell, including spells from the 'Magic Compendium', (3.0 I think) So I need to totally go over my spell list. And what I had planned for a few early magic items as well. :(
Good bye 'Beneficial Translocation' Spell! ;)
I presume that any Paizo product/spells are ok? (You did say no 3pp) I know of a couple that aren't on the spell lists of the hardcovers, but are found in the AP's.
Getting through Tech for 'HONK' (the Ugly Duckling as a musical), See you all soon!

Paizo core is definitely OK, but if it's not in the PRD, I need to check it out. These spells are OK, for the most part. There are some I don't like, but they're core, so I put up with them. Grrr.

Heheh,...
Actually, I'd be interested at some point to learn which ones you aren't fond of, and why.
But the ones I'm referring to are ones I have found aren't even combat spells. I'll copy them from D20pfsrd here;
1st Level
Pattern Recognition
School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range personal
Target you
Duration 10 min./level
Pattern recognition allows you to notice unusual breaks in the patterns of stones in a wall, boards in a floor, cracks in glass, trees in a forest, or similar interruptions. You gain an insight bonus equal to one-half your caster level (minimum +1, maximum +10) on Search checks.
You gain the same bonus on Survival checks made to follow tracks. Pattern recognition does not grant you the Track feat, a rogue’s trapfinding ability, or the ability to disable traps. You can use it in conjunction with those abilities if you possess them, though.

2nd Level
Raiment of Command
School illusion (glamer); Level bard 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 hour/level
Saving Throw Will; Spell Resistance no
You are cloaked in an illusion of authority. others perceive you to be a legitimate figure of authority—a higher-ranking official, a religious figure, a more powerful warrior. this illusion grants you a +5 bonus on all Diplomacy and intimidate checks. if you attempt to disguise yourself as a specific authority figure, you gain a +10 competence bonus on the Disguise check and any Bluff check related to impersonating that authority figure.
In addition, others are uncomfortable acting against you. creatures with an intelligence of 4 or more must make a Will save or take a –2 penalty on all opposed checks against you.

As you can see, very useful, but not even related to combat. (Unless you count 'social combat' as in Dresden Files game)
:)
I tend to use the D20PFSRD website myself. The 'official' Paizo site is great, But I find navigating and finding things to be easier on the other site. For me at least.
The funny thing is, the D20PFSRD site lists the class spells lists exactly the same as the Paizo site, but they also have all of the extraneous spells, feats, etc from the AP's. They just list them in the 'master' Alphabetical list, so you kind of have to hunt for them if you don't already know about them. ;P
Thanks! :D

@Treppa: Do you know how? I couldn't copypasta off the portfolio, so I was switching windows and typing it in manually.
@CH: *sigh* I have all the info still in HL, I just have to re-enter it all. Plus, it has split my HP into 'Vigor and Wounds' and I can't figure out how to unbork it...
Ragadolf
I'm almost done.
No. Really,... ;P
Just been busy lately (Like loading in a Kids Mardi Gras Krewe by myself today, all my workers were 'unavailable') ;P
I was toying wioth a few things, but SLi is going with standard Wiz, I just need to pick new spells since half his old ones were from other 3.5 sources.
And I might change his name, but keep the alliteration. :)
So,... soon,... very soon?!? :)
GM Treppa
OK, so to summarize:
- taig: Camris Findlespur, halfling paladin
- Patrick: Amadeo Pontillix, tiefling witch
- Celestial Healer: Araxus Nestarsian, human conjurer
- pinvendor: Damien Rhomanos, human bard
- Ragadolf: Slidell Storm-Raven, human wizard
Kind of stomper-light, but you'll have a bench of utility players to draw from if you need some heavies in the game.
I think I need backstories from Amadeo and Slidell. I'm working up PM's for everyone else right now!
Ragadolf
Cool!
What do you still need from Me Treppa?
(UM, besides a finished PC I mean) ;P
I thought we had cleared up (and gave me many new ideas) in the PM's
:)
I'm on Mardi Gras break for the next 3 days. Spending time with family, parades et al, but should have time to finish and be ready to go when you are!
Just let me know what, if anything, you still need background-wise.
And, An interesting group. A paladin, a bard, and 3 magikers of dubious intention. Did the paladin join us just to keep an eye on us?!? ;P
Ragadolf
AN-tic-a-pa-a-a-tion! :D
NAw, I don't see any worries with this group.
Now, if you were to play PC's alignments like some others I've met, (Like 'Lawful Stupid', or 'Chaotic Idiocy') then perhaps. But I've seen you guys in action, I'm not worried.
To tell the truth, until now I hadn't noticed the alignments on any of the PC's. I was just reading the backgrounds and thinking 'That is so cool! Why can't I think up stuff like that?' :)
Heck, I think if Slidell bites it, (Hopefully not! But he is a bit fragile,... and tends to stick his nose in where it doesn't belong.) ;P
I was thinking of having a Paladin of Caydin Calladain (Sp?) as a backup. :) That just sounds like a fun kind of Pally to play. Especially in a city famous for Hellknights and other social challenges. :D
Damien Rhomanos
Damien is simply out for himself and his sister and unconcerned with anyone else's pitiful lives. His Neutral Evil alignment really just showcases his uncaring disdain and willingness to do anything to stay on top. He's more or less a typical noble, but one without any conscience whatsoever. I don't think Westcrown society could breed anything else really...
GM Treppa
Honestly, there's a lot of that about, but there are people who fight against the darkness, or at least try to avoid it.
Westcrown is the home of a strong undercurrent of resistance to Asmodeus. People go to temple like they are supposed to, but they worship others at household shrines. Most of the worship is of Iomedae, one of the Seven Founders of Aroden's faith, or a traditional deity of the families.
Indeed, two notable paladins reside here: one, the head of a high noble family; the other, the ambassador from Taldor who refuses to reside in devil-haunted Egorian.

ARRRGH!
<Mind goes 'POP!'>
I've just had an epiphany.
I have spent WAY too long agonizing over miniscule details of this PC.
Seriously. This week I have spent more time worrying about his PC than my own kids. Not good.
;P
FOrtunately I got to spend a little time with my son today.
Jumped on the trampoline, played a little SW Battlefront, watched a little TV, I fell better now. ;)
OK, Slidell is what he is. If I want to play something else, I'll make another PC! :P
I will re-write his background Treppa, integrating the things we've discussed. (hopefully tonight) and making it less of a collection of notes. :)
One semi important question remains, How detailed are you with the illusion rules Treppa? I was thinking of taking a few illusion spells (Which I used to use all the time in 1st & 2nd Ed) but I've noticed they've broken them up into 'figments' and 'glamours', and that they still all seem to do what ONE 1st level spell used to do back in the old days. ;P
Can't wait! see you all soon!
And Happy Belated Birthday Treppa! :D
