I am interested. Here is Cerinnibert, Aasimar (of gnomish blood) Druid. I had created him for another campaign, I am reworking his backstory to fit in. By the way, you can find the Campaign Traits here: Rise of the Runelords

Ok, here is Cerinnibert's backstory, I hope you like it!
Maybe I better start closer to the beginning. My birth caused quite a commotion. No one in the small gnome village had ever seen it rain indoors before! Added to this was the birthmark of Gozreh on my wrist, and the way lightning seemed to dance across my eyes, and people got the idea that I was something special. It only got worse as I grew older. Once I started being able to cause bursts of purest light, no one would leave me alone! Don't get me wrong, nobody was mean to me, they just expected so much. I was like a new toy, they always expected me to do something new, to entertain them. I found a bit of an obsession myself at this time, with language. I loved the way that words could mean different things depending on how you said them, and the other words used with them. They could communicate ideas and understanding, or cause a war, depending on how you used them.
It was about this time that I ran away. I had this wanderlust, it felt like there was somewhere I needed to go, but I didn't know where. I walked for weeks, doing what I could to earn enough to eat, sometimes even stealing food. Then I finally arrived.
The Sea.
I had never seen anything like it, but it was like I had been looking all my life for it. I stole aboard a ship, and soon enough found myself in a new land. (Luckily for me the captain was willing to let me work for passage instead of just throwing me overboard.) I just kept going from then on, wherever my feet would take me.
It was in... the Vergan forest, yes, that I met the Druid Circle that took me in and taught me all about the God that had claimed me. Some of them even thought I was a decendent of Gozreh himself! What? Oh, no, this was in Xer, before Razmir came along with his silly claims of godhood, and messed up the country.
So, where was I? Right, the Druids took me in, trained me, and it was then that I started having the dreams. I don't remember all of them, it was more of a feeling that I had to go again. There was somewhere else I was needed. I headed off again, West, following my dreams. I have finally arrived here in Varisia, and let me tell you, there's a big storm coming.
And not the good kind...
btw, where are the rules for the class based defense bonus? I am having trouble finding them.

I have a character in Ryuko's RotR PbP game, but, sadly, Ryuko had some medical issues about a month ago, stopped by to apologize and get us started again, and then vanished. We didn't finish the surprise festival interruption, let alone really get started.
I could rework the Varisian rogue I built for that game (based heavily on real-world Roma wanderers). I could build something new instead if you like. I've been thinking about an elven (or half-elven) wizard. You've seen a little of how I build characters and try to work with the core culture they are based upon. You know, Mas'ud?
If you have a preference (including me not joining this, too), please let me know.

I spent some time flipping through material looking for inspiration last night. Assuming i finish the first write-up in time to post it before your cut-off, the Varisian rogue is currently looking to be written up as a kitsune Rogue who was raised by the members of a Varisian caravan. The number of people outside of the caravan who know about the true race of the rogue is as close to zero as anyone can keep it.
I won't be using an archetype.
I haven't found an online reference for a PFS class-based defense bonus, though I remember it was part of the WotC Star Wars engine which was the first public version of D20. I'm curious where I might be able to go for more information about this?

I have te link at home on my computer. It levels as you do but starts off based on your armor proficiency. No armor starts at +2, light +3, medium +4, and heavy is +6. Keep in mind it uses the best one you have and they do not stack. This is what proficiency you have not what you are wearing.
I hope that is clear.

hustonj |
Interesting. The WotC Star Wars version related to your class, not your armor proficiency.
Soldiers and Scoundrels got the best bonus, while Nobles got the worst, IIRC. Those books are at home, so I'm working on some REALLY sketchy memory.
Not quite what I was expecting, but easy enough to work with!
Quiet enough here at work I'm getting a lot of character construction completed. Traits will probably need to wait until I can get home, though.

Blythe Astor |

Here is my submission. Stats nead a little tweaking, which I shall do if I am chosen, or you just express interest, DaWay. Thanks.
The daughter of the notorious 'Bleeding Rosa', Blythe has always been into gun-running. While she herself is not wanted in as many countries as her mother, she still travels with caution.
Most recently she delivered a shipment of hand cannons to a rather large, gray-skinned merchant in Magnimar, who was taking them to somewhere in the Iron Peaks. She doesn't ask questions.
She stopped by the village of Sandpoint to visit her aunt Amele, Uncle Alergast and little Aeren and Verah, whom she has never met.

Thanks. The Druid has Medium Armor proficiency, but is prohibited from metal armor; would that affect the bonus?
Also, how do you feel about rolling for alternate Aasimar special abilities? Table: Variant Aasimar Abilities (near the bottom of the page)
And Hustonj, since you can access Paizo, have you tried the
Paizo Pathfinder PRD?

hustonj |
I peaked during a quick run home at lunch.
Probably Regional: Varisian Wanderer (Sleight of Hand); Racial: Carefully Hidden (Seems an overly-powerful adaptation. Is there a lesser version of it you would rather I took?)
I think I will do the attribute swap.
Yes, I tried the PRD, but it ONLY has the APG Traits in it. There are a WEALTH of other traits out there!

Jarl was raised as part of the caravan. In typical Varisian fashion, they ignore his differences to the best of their ability, except for helping him learn to use them in service to the clan. In his human form, he learned to perform most of the entertainments the clan used to draw money from villagers. This allowed him to participate in "casing" the village. Then, when the caravan had "left" the village, they would hide as close as seemed reasonable, and Jarl would steal from the village while in his natural form. This was working well for everyone, but left Jarl feeling conflicted.
He was proud of his performing abilities and enjoyed being part of the show. Stealing from the villagers left him worried about how much more difficult he was making their lives than they would have been without the theft. The Purruns', the clan which had taken him in, were almost gleeful in their adamant belief that they were taking nothing which would not have been lost to someone else, anyway. By the time Jarl started talking about not participating in the post-visit raids anymore, the Purren's were already recognizing the need to change their pattern, because the villages were acting more openly suspicious of the clan wherever they went. There is no doubt that this made it easy for them to agree that Jarl could cease participating in such raids, but even Jarl is uncertain if it also contributed to their willingness to have him try to become a full-time performer . . ..
The background connects all 3 requested traits to the character, I think. Eager Performer, Varisian Wanderer, and Adopted: Carfeully Hidden.
50.00 Rogue's Kit 37# - Backpack, bedroll, belt pouch, caltrops, chalk (10), flint & steel, grappling hook, iron pot, mess kit, mirror, pitons (10), rope, soap, thieves' tools, torches (10), trail rations (5 days), waterskin
00.50 Entertainer's Kit 3# - juggling balls, colored handkerchiefs, playing cards, clownish makeup, other simple stage magician/street performer props
FREE Entertainer's Outfit 4#
01.00 6 clubs 18# - balanced and painted as juggling props - 1d6/x2/10'/B
30.00 shortbow 2# - 1d6/x3/60'/P
01.00 20 arrows 3#
10.00 leather armor 15# - DR2/Armor/max Dex +6/-0/10%/30'
92.50 GP spent collecting 82# worth of gear (heavily loaded when carrying it all, light when street performing, light with armor, bow, arrows, outfit, & 1 club)
47.5 GP "on hand", adding 1# to load (no change to above encumbrance values)
I have to drop the Charisma and increase the Strength to be able to carry everything . . ..
I think I see Jarl Purrun as NG.
