Setesh - if you hover over the word 'here' you'll notice it's a link to the Discussion thread :) I meant to check in there.

I know this is short notice, but if it's alright, I'd like to switch out the character I'm applying with (he was just rejected from another AP, and though he might not be as entertaining as Bazil Stormdasher, he's got a lot more depth to him).

Aldorel Fae'Dareth is a CN Elven Magus (bladebound archetype), and a devote follower of Calistria. He is the eldest (and only) son of a noble family that has long resided in Absalom, though they proudly flaunt their Kyonin heritage. Staunch traditionalists, Aldorel's family raised him to appreciate his race, his religion, and his craft - that is to say his family has a long-standing tradition of blending swordplay and sorcery.

Aldorel recently mastered the fundamentals of his art, and was soon to inherit his family's ancestral weapon, a rapier named "Spitenail" in honor of their goddess. Unfortunately, his home was broken into a few months ago, his father severely injured, and several valuables stolen, Spitenail among them. Most of them were trinkets or baubles, easily replaced, but the sword must be retrieved, and with his father wounded, the task falls to Aldorel - his is to find the sword, and then he may claim it as his own.

He he tracked the thieves initially to Katapash, and found that the weapon had been purchased by a merchant from Osirion. Aldorel arrived in the country roughly two weeks ago, and since then, he has learned that the dog who purchased his sword recently lead an expedition seeking treasure in the Sahure Wastes. Signing on for this job gives him a chance both to make connections in this new land, and to follow his mark.

As far as his personality, Aldorel is certainly arrogant. He's a fop and a bit of a cad, with a deeply ingrained sense of elven superiority. He prides himself on his wit and his style, and though usually dismissive, he appreciates similar qualities in others. He loves to challenge himself, and is a collector of exotic paraphernalia. In fact, he has been impressed enough with the culture and grandeur of Osirion that he has considered moving his family here after his business is concluded, or at least building a summer home (he is soon to inherit his family's estate, and this would be a good way to start of his administration with a bang).

Though he likes to put on a facade of cynicism, Aldorel has a fierce sense of honor and to duty, it simply shines through at unusual times and in unusual ways. He has a strange chivalric code that he is bound to follow. He never lets a slight pass, though his retribution is always proportionate to the insult given, he will always endeavor to woo young ladies (and defend those he has made advances towards), and he can be roused to uncharacteristic fervor in the defense of his family, his race, or in the name of Calistria.

*sigh* and another rejection for rezamar.

*sigh* I am right there with you...the only play by post I can seem to get in is the one that I DM....maybe all my character ideas are crappy....I don't know.

yep thats the second rejection for Saarah. Like I said in the last thread, anyone who wants to head to the temple with her can get in for half price.
