Hehe not fast enough Edeldhur. Ok so this is how things are going to run down. Since my head is spinning from trying to separate all the different noble houses people wanted to be connected to we are going to refine all of your characters as a group just to make sure we don't have conflicting stories (ie people from the same noble family).
And yes, time for the almighty CRUNCH!!
For those of you who held back from rolling, good job. For those of you who did roll and made any crunch despite my requests, wasted effort. I want this game to be a bit stronger so you can stand up to the monsters I dream up so stats will be rolled as follows.
Roll 1d6. Then subtract that number from 19. Do that 6 times and poof, stats! Yes this time you WANT to roll low. And since we are doing it this way, you get what you roll. No rerolls.
Max gold and HP at first level.
Two traits, one must be from the campaign.
Let's rock it!

My character wasn't actually from any Noble House at all - Is it necessary?
Also, would it be appropriate if we somehow coordinated character skills and roles somewhat? Or would it be better we just crunch them separately?
I am simply asking because my character will have a martial bent, but should excel at a couple of knowledges, and maybe we could work out something so as not to have too much overlap.
Then again, with those stats... Geeeez :D

Edeldhur |

What about character concepts/roles?
My character's background (character is not Edeldhur by the way, will post up his alias soon) makes him a survivalist, a career combatant, used to lead squads of others into the fray.
In terms of mechanics, I admit I really haven't really pondered his combat preferences in depth - anyone is planning any particular role, such as melee, or ranged, or stuff like that? Maybe we can complement each other.

Mikhail is likely going to be a Cavalier [Beast Rider]/Bard [Arcane Duelist]/Battle Herald.
So, lion-riding charge-pounce-lance coupled with team-boosting teamwork feats and auras.

DM Skull |

@ Kana: Up to you.
No one will be punished for not being noble. I would just have to adjust the story to compensate for it, thats all.
@Mikhail: How are you planning on getting your hands on said lion? Since the mount functions like druid animal companion the lion would not be large enough to ride until you are 7th level cavalier. Also add to that lions don't exist up here. Think yukon territory.

With her brothers it could go either way but that's why i wanted to name them and incase she brings them up. They were trying to move up the social ladder. So if you choose to you can, but otherwise i just have the names and ages for reference. They were just mentioned briefly in her background.
I imagine Ithil would be way more likely to pop up than her brothers.

The lion thing would be a ways off, can't get that until later in levels. By then if we've got the kingdom aspect hopping it could be imported for a price, perhaps. I'llc ross that bridge when I come to it. Right now it's just a horse.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the boards (started visiting about a month ago and didn't create an account until I found the RP section). I'm not new to the game however and have gamed since the early days of 3.5 and was a happy convert to Pathfinder. Sorry I wasn't able to join in all the friendly chatter earlier but until yesterday I was bouncing between LA and Hongkong every week for three months. I will be playing your friendly neighborhood cleric!

DM Skull |

Alright everyone it's started! Don't worry about if your crunch isn't completely done, this first bit is just about feeling out your characters and interaction with each other IC. Go ahead and post in the gameplay thread whenever you're ready.
Edit: I forgot to say this. To everyone who applied and all of you chosen, thank you so much for such an awesome response to this. I have so many ideas and I hope you all have a blast!
Feel free to write Ervy taking you to a table and bringing food. You each have a charter about traveling south but you need to find a group. Mingle! Goodnight everyone, can't wait to see what's waiting for me in the morning!

I'll be playing a Paladin/Synthesist Multiclass. Basically, the Synthesist Eidolon is to represent an angel possessing the Paladin to help. Of course, Aarya is not the standard Paladin to start with...
EDIT: Let's try again with proper rolls...
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (3) = 16
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (2) = 17
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (6) = 13
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (5) = 14
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (2) = 17
19 - 1d6 ⇒ 19 - (1) = 18
That's niiiice.

Good morning everyone. (Yes, it is morning for me, 7:45 am on a holiday here in my country. Couldn't sleep. Which admitedly had nothing to do with this thread.)
I would really love to show off my character story and see those of the others, unless DM Skull prefers us to keep them secret, since they contain mostly OOC information? But due to the nature of the contest I really would love to know how the stories of the others are.
Anyway, I am happy this Band of Purple Squirrels may finally commence. No nut in this forest shall remain unconquered! Gonna roll in a few, just need to get fully awake first. What about the following battle cry? "Go for the nuts, squirrels!"
About the noble houses: Well, that was actually not part of the initial idea of the character I had when I started reading through the Kingmaker Player's Guide. But, since we had to select one trait from Kingmaker, this one was simply the one I could come up with the complete, interesting character.
