If it's alright I think I would like to switch out my rank in Diplomacy with Sense Motive; seems to make more sense based on how his character is coming to life.
| DM Skull |
Makes sense to me according your background. He got burned because he couldn't see what had happened to his underling. Then wandered around doing...well that stuff. Diplomacy didn't really factor at all.
Alright folks this is a one time limited offer. If you want to change any crunch, you can only do so at first level. After that the only thing you can retrograde is your feats, which can be replaced every time you gain a feat, except in the case of prereqs.

Sorry for the assumption I made before with the "Will you?" comment, I was reading that particular remark with a different tone.
But all in all, it looks like the party has finally begun to gather bit by bit, so barring a late start on the cleric's account, I would think that the journey will begin very shortly.

Which i have to say Aarya is really interesting. And that last little bit made me think of a 3.5 paladin of freedom in a game of mine.
And am i correct in seeing that the only member that has not stopped by the inn yet is our dear cleric? (Oops. Just saw Grimm's comment. I'll leave mine anyway.)
And I'm out till morning. See you all in about 8 hours!

Yes indeed, I am sure by tomorrow he'll be about very soon. As far as anything else...well my nonexistant lips are for the moment sealed.

About this charter: I was under the impression that we do not already have it but would be handed it in Restov, after we formed a group and some official briefs the four groups which are then sent south to the Stolen Lands.
The Kingmaker Player's Guide always speaks of four groups of adventurers, each of which was handed such a charter.

A valid point to be sure. Let me consult the bones...
| Feuerrabe |
I also would like to know whether we may assume that the information in Kingmaker Player's Guide is all known to us. Such as the box on page four...
Have we heard about the Stag Lord and the other rumored problems in the area?
Do we know that this charter isn't really an initiative of house Surtova, even though the regent may have sind the writ, but rather and attempt to balance the agression from Issia which is incited by Surtova on their quest for more power in Brevoy?
Do we know that our primary task is to re-open the trade routes and deal with the banditry in the region?
Do we know who the Lordship of Restov actually is? I mean Rostland is traditionally ruled by house Rogarvia which has disappeared. I am somewhat puzzled whose bright idea this whole initiative was.
---
On a side note, considering Aleidi and Aarya: I do have a Fey Blood Line Sorceress as well which shares a lot similarities with Aleidi, including certain feat choices. I made her a PFS character because I didn't seem to be able to be finding a group. I abrivirated the originally much longer background to short notes because no one wants to read a novel when it comes to characters meant for single six hour sessions.... Though the background is somewhat different: she is a failed druidess disciple who was 'adopted' by the fey when she changed her way.
The point that makes me mention this is that she also converted from her faith for Calistiria to Arshea at the point she changed her ways. I am not sure how well Aarya and Lurielle would get along though. Lurielle is very good. And very chaotic.

Alrighty folks time to clear some things up.
@Feurrabe: Very good point and something I missed. No you wouldn't have an 'official' charter until you presented yourself as a group to the right official and he can write down your names and the name of your group before giving you the specific charter the are south of Oleg's Trading Post.
The best you have right now is not a charter but a flyer advertising titles and money for any group willing to take the Stolen Lands. You also wouldn't know of any of the problems yet since they are all posted at Oleg's Trading Post or can be found by chance while exploring the region.
As for politics you may make a knowledge: nobility or knowledge: local roll to see if you can read between the lines of this initiative.
That would be part of the charter, yes. Clear out any banditry you find and reestablish trade routes.
And make a knowledge: local roll for the swordlords. If you are from this area you can make the roll untrained.

Any knowledge checks I could make at a no higher than DC 10, i.e. without having the appropriate Knowledge skills?
----
Oh, and what DC on Knowledge Religion would it be to see whether I've heard of Empyrial Lords before and know that Arshea is one of them? What DC would it be to know his/her portfolio? If it's more than 10 I can't even roll, I just wouldn't know.
EDIT: Regarding the religin thing: Well, I made a check now and got a 6. Means I don't know anything, I suppose.

I assumed Aleidi would know there is rumors of fey there in one of her posts last night. Figured it fit with both her past and even more reason she would go. Do i need to make a check for that?
@Feuerrabe: And that CG paladin of freedom was a friend of mine's character in a campaign of mine. Though there was also a LG Paladin that was dead set on stopping her CE Anti-paladin half sister. Though i think my favorite paladin was a friends gnome paladin who somehow ended up in a party with a LE Female tiefling monk, a N Female Drow Wizard(Necromancy), and a NE female Moon Elf Dread Necromancer. Poor guy had been raised that no matter what you treat ladies with respect. He just tried to stop the two evil ones from doing bad things. Poor drow had been blackmailed into her roll by the Moon Elf.

Hello everyone,
I know the timing is not the best, but I wanted to let you all know that starting from today (still have a couple hundred Km to travel) I will be GMing at a Pathfinder Society Con over here in my neck of the woods.
This will last until Sunday evening, and even though I wil probably have access to my PC, I cannot guarantee any decent posting during this period.
Next Monday I will be back in business.
Cheers,
Reknar
P.S. in the meantime I will check this one whenever I can - I am enjoying it immensely so far ;)

I am not sure whether Aarya is actually chaotic if that's what she means. Yes freedom is a part of Arshea's portfolio, but he/she is true good and that does make a grave difference, at least as far as I a concerned. From the way she phrased it, I had taken her as actually lawful. Just more liberal than a paladine of a lawful deity, like a paladine of Shelyn or Sarenrae would be more liberal than one of Iomedae, Abadar or Torag.
Of course only time will tell, as the game progresses. I hope I am not the only non-chaotic character in the team.
I am curious to know how exactly she prays. Or whether her interpretation of a flail is really the one that her god/goddess prefers. I could very well imagine that it was primarily designed for combat. Then again she's an Empyrean Lord. Meaning a front line angel, not a god as far as I could figure.
http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Arshea
On a side note: Arshea is the Spirit of Abandon, not of Abadon. That almost sounds like Abaddon, a true evil plain of existance in Pathfinder. In some games the name of demon lord.
@Reknar We will take good care of your char in the meantime. ;)

Go for it. History and the writting sample I sent to Skull are up now, but I'm running out of steam, so I suspect apperence and personality will be finished when I wake up again. The joy of working over night.
Seconded there, I do enjoy a detailed story where the owner of the character takes time to really flesh out the history of a character and give it more dimension as well as depth.

Sorry, I got suddenly very tired yesterday at 11 am. Didn't have much sleep the past few day. I still wanted to post, but only crap would have gotten out of it.
Hrm. Gonna reply to an in-game post here because the answer isn't really in character.
Shalira Lebeda wrote:To Aleidi:
At first Shalira seemed to be somewhat distracted about her interruption and didn't look all to friendly on her. But something about her seemed to change her opinion completely around and turned her expression into a smile."You have beautiful eyes. Both of them. And I don't generally say things like that to women", she whispered.
Aleidi was doubtful at first at the sincerity of that comment. But she placed a small smile on her face with a whispered "Thank You" back.
[dice=Sense Motive]1d20+2
She'd sense motive anyone about the sincerity of comments about her eyes. Sensitive subject.
EDIT: Aleidi scored an 18...
Hrm. I'll have to set some arbitrary DCs for that.
10) Shalira is sincere.
15) Being a half elf she does neither belong to any one race. She's not entirely human nor elf and doesn't truly belong anywhere; regardless how people feel towards her, she's generally considered an outsiter to some degree. She feels kindred to people out of the ordinary.
20) I might tell you if you beat Knowledge Religion vs. DC 10.

Hm... maybe i should add shorts and things as i think of them... could be fun... I know i added something about her relation to her brothers after Aleidi's reactions to Shalira earlier today, and fixed a bit of conflicting things about her personality from that spot and the story... But anyways, i shall take my tired barely functioning brain to get that thing they call sleep. Night all!
------
@Feuerrabe It's more a reaction based on her past to do that to just about anyone who comments. She grew up around some very superstitious people. So the smile would have been more genuine, and not a faked one.
EDIT: It was just something i felt should be rolled because of her reaction as a character to the comment. And i think i'm rambling... and repeating myself now...
