Just a thought, I think R'Chir might have been gagged, seeing as he's a cleric, or perhaps they thought taking his holy symbol was enough. *Shrugs* I guess I'll go with the latter.
R'Chir |
I haven't displayed spellcasting ability, I have a +10 bluff so I could have bluffed maybe, and also i have a birthmark that functions as a holy symbol
R'Chir puts on his best impression of Dogar, and says "OI!! Jailer! Jailer!! You look familiar! I'm think'n I had me way wit' yer mum not a week ago! She's the dry harlot o'er on bar row, yea? Worst coppers I ever spent! I ought ta hav' bought a handful o' sawdust and had a better night at half tha cost!" He then tries to look sickly as he keeps his hands in his manacles and looks down as if asleep.
bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Dogar the Wild |
Unable to contain his laughter, Dogar guffaws loudly, and adds "O' course yer sister though, now there was one peach of a ride, if ya know what I mean. Ha! And ye probably do!" and his grin remains large on his face as he readies himself for the guard to enter.
If I can make a readied action now, Dogor readies himself to grab the dagger under his leg and jam it into the guard's throat as soon as the man come near enough. Of course if something else happens or more than one guard comes in, I may have to revise that action
Xrezth the Discordant |
We should keep at least one alive for questioning. I can just as easily knock someone unconscious as kill them.
Xrezth cracks her knuckles and begins stretching while waiting for the guards to arrive. As soon as she hears footsteps, she will return to bound position.

1d4 ⇒ 2
The two on duty guards come in. One of them is staggering a bit as he unlocks the cell door. The other strides in and says, "Noisy lot ain't ya. Keep dot up an' I'll whack ye good."
The sways at his post like a drunkard, but I'm sure he is just a little woozy from a sickness, surely such a fine guard isn't drunk while on duty.
Okay, you can scramble to your feet and move half speed as a move action if you succeed a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure by less than 5 means you scramble half speed on all fours (still considered prone). Failure by 5 or more means you fall prone and go nowhere. So what will our villains do?
Xrezth the Discordant |
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Upon seeing the guards enter, Xrezth sneers at them: [b]You don't have the balls to whack a little girl like me.
Once they are within movement range - 15' from your description.
Full Attack: Flurry of Blows
Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 2 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 <-- non-lethal
Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 2 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Rengar |
FINE I'll not remove the patch. Bleh, I was trying to do it far before the guards were called when I first wrote it 0.o
Acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Attack with ma claws! Natural weapons, so I get to use both. Sneak attack ftw?
Attack roll 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Attack Roll 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
I missed =/
Dogar the Wild |
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Attack w/dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Dogar grabs the blade under his thigh and leaps up to slice the guard's throat but at that moment the damn female leaps up and gets all snapity and kickity in his face, causing his dagger strike to miss wildly.
Swearing epithets at her, he briefly considers using his dagger on her, for ruining his fight. But then he recalls that she seems to have some powerful connections, so killing, now anyway, might not be wise.
Growling, the wild-eyed dwarf turns back to the fight.
DM-Salsa |
If your Attacking I need attack rolls. Unless you want to just give him a hug, then I need a Grapple.
Dimral Windstrider |
Sorry! XD (Dimral wanted to hug one of them... and squeezeeeeeeee! :D)
Acrobatics:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Attack roll:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage roll:1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Edit: critical confirmation:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage roll (if confirmed):1d6 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + (5) + 5 = 14
DM-Salsa |
Okay I guess he's punching them in the face. They're Flatfooted, and seeing as Drimal was talking about killing stuff.
Drimal Damage: 2d3 + 10 ⇒ (3, 1) + 10 = 14
----
Okay, I'm trying something different with the combat. If any of you beats their highest Initiative, then you guys go first. Dashuun has 25 which beats their 21 so you guys go first for round one.
Guard1: 01/13 NL: 9
Guard2: 13/13 NL: 0
Rengar stands and slashes at the guard, his claws only meeting his chain mail. Xrezth jabs the guard in the belly, knocking the wind out of him. Dogar tries to take advantage of the man's winded state, but swings wide. While the guard bends over gasping for breath, Drimal roars as he nearly caves the man's skull in. The guard drops to the ground with a whimper. The other, more sober guard goes for the horn at his side. In hindsight, not having it ready was a mistake. Oh how mighty Banderscar has fallen.
okay, surprise round's done, Round 1... FIGHT!
Dimral Windstrider |
Ok for how things went... but I stated Dimral wanted a dagger (my mistake about the dmg.... confused it with short sword) and it was quite clear he wanted to kill the guard... but no problem, I like how things went
Xrezth the Discordant |
Round 1
Xrezth continues to turn the man's face into a nice pattern of black and blue.
Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Hard to comment since I do not know whether he is flatfooted.
If flatfooted: While not perfect, Xrezth's elbow creates a large welt on the guards face.
If not-flatfooted: Xrezth lands several solid shots, unfortunately the guard manages to raise his arm and just deflect her blows.
You worshippers of the pansy god Iomedae will soon understand the error of your ways.
DM-Salsa |
I must have missed it. But considering you guys just slaughtered one of them, I think it would have broke the spell.
Dimral Windstrider |
Can we have the initiative order? Anyway...
Dimral lounges viciously for the other guard a bestial snarl on his lips as he drives the comically small dagger towards the man's chest:
Attack roll:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage roll:1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
DM-Salsa |
Init: *(Still to act)
Dashuun
Xrezth
Drimal
Dogar*
Rengar*
R'Chir*
Lucias
----
That's as rolled, I'm doing this post order so this doesn't matter so much. Waiting on Dogar, Rengar, and R'Chir
Rengar |
Rengar flips behind the guard, opposite of Xrezth.
Acrobatics to get into flanking position without AoO 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
First claw 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Second claw 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Confirm critical 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Not sure if it's confirmed.
Damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2) + 1 = 4
