The other option is to lure it all the way back to the entrance and the steps. If I use the tower shield to gain full cover and only allow it to trample while you hit it from range on the lower level we might have a better chance at it.
Also agree that I need a better bludgeoning weapon.
RichD can check my lot list but I don’t think we have found much loot in the last 3 encounters
DM RichD
You got the things that were in the Crux.
Devildrome: The bust and percentage of take.
Massacre House:
From each sister:
potion of cure moderate wounds,
potion of lesser restoration,
masterwork bladed scarf,
masterwork crossbow
with 10 poisoned bolts
(black adder venom—DC 11; 1/round
for 6 rounds, 1d6 Con, 1 save)
Ashes
Cutlass Cove:
Treasure: The chamber beyond the Wave Door contains
a small wooden bench and a locker. The locker is locked
(Disable Device DC 30 to pick the lock). The key was lost
long ago, so if the PCs can’t pick the lock they’ll either have
to smash the reinforced wooden locker open (hardness 5,
hp 15, Break DC 23) or haul the chest and its contents
back to the city to fnd help.
The locker contains a package of six sets of
false identity papers, each marking the bearer
as Chelish nobility in good standing with
House Thrune. Even though they are vastly
outdated, the papers still provide a +2 bonus
to any Bluff checks made against the dottari,
Hellknights, nobles, or other Chelish authorities.
Each set of papers is worth 300 gp. Under these papers
lie four potions of gaseous form, six potions of cure moderate
wounds, and six potions of lesser restoration. A thin wooden
folio sits on the bottom of the chest under the potions;
pressed between its covers are several scrolls and sheets of
parchment. Above, a teak wand case wedged into the locker’s
lid contains a wand of restoration (13 charges). A key ring sits
around one of the potion bottles.
The wooden folio’s contents are a scroll of clairaudience/
clairvoyance, three scrolls of dispel magic (CL 10th), three
scrolls of erase (CL 10th), a scroll of sunburst, a scroll of true
seeing, and a piece of parchment. This parchment contains
a short note from Liriam warning of fears that one of the
Pathfnders may have become tainted by an evil artifact;
And that's it...

Wow, a thousand apologies, guys. I have never intended to drop this game, as I thoroughly enjoy it (you guys are awesome!), but a recent work offer means I need to cut down on my gaming in order to take advantage of the opportunity. Unfortunately, that means I'm not going to be able to continue this campaign.
I've honestly had a blast playing with all of you, so thanks for having me while it lasted. Sorry for how short my run turned out to be.
All the best, everyone! And happy thanksgiving to those of you who are American.
---
Lorelei has the following consumables in her inventory that I'd like to donate to the group if that's alright.
- 8 potions of cure light wounds
- 5 potions of cure moderate wounds
- 2 potions of lesser restoration
- 2 potions of gaseous form
- 2 potions of invisibility
- 6 potions of shield
- 1 potion of vanish (CL 2nd)
- 7 vials of acid
- 9 holy water
- 2 smokesticks
- 2 tanglefoot bags
She also has the key ring to Delvehaven and all the paperwork we've found, so be sure someone claims it in her stead.

Thanks for joining us this far Lorelei. I understand work pressures as I have been dealing with them myself the past few months. Good luck!
Also I don't think you can have a potion of shield as it is a self only spell.
I don't know what Areal's level is but is it possible to have him join us till we find a replacement as we continue on with the exploration of the Lodge? Problem is we have no one that can find traps now... might be a problem unless some of the others in the group can help out. What about each of us getting a cohort for the interim to help out?

Thanks for playing Lorelei. Good luck on your new job!
(I'm going to miss your trapfinding and pessimistic wit.)

@Lorelei: I am sorry to see you go and I am going to miss you throwing shade at the Pathfinder! :D. I hope to see you on the boards in the future.
Arael is currently level 3 so if some one wants to level him up to level 5, that is fine. (Since I know what is coming, I don't feel I can so it without knowledge.) His character stats are in his profile. PM them to me and I will update his profile. Janiven is also an urban ranger could also accompany you. She is also Level 3.
If anyone knows of a replacement, feel free to have them join. Speaking of which Lorelei was a druid in my Serpent's Skull game. If anyone is interested.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Lvl 3 urban ranger is nice...has trap finding!
Will take a look at Areal too if I get a chance.
Richard Holysmith
A trapspotter is a good idea, but we could also use a divine cleric to banish that undead dino.
Mera Wist-Thrune
Well that's a bummer! It's never fun losing part of the team. Best of luck in your new endeavors Lorelei!
Mera Wist-Thrune
Please go right ahead.
I would concur that those two areas are the current weakness of the party.
Mera Wist-Thrune
With regard to Lorelei's loot, she has a couple of other items that could be useful to the party if she does not intend to return.
157 gp
+1 Rapier
Morningstar
+1 composite shortbow with w/ 20 blunt arrows
+1 studdend leather armor
Aegist of recovery
I can use the +1 composite shortbow and the morningstar to avoid needing to shop for gear to return.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Check with RichD about the build rules as this is a different type of build going on. I thought it was pick one stat to be 18 then use a 20pt build from there. Others have thought it was something else.
Most campaigns I would vote for a full cleric over a rogue but this seems to be one of the exceptions. Either way make a character you will enjoy and go from there!
DM RichD
Hi Nikolaus & welcome! I think your style of RP will fit right in! Also Tal is Neltji in that game.
Also, thank you to Tal for leveling up Arael.
Here are the character creations that everyone used (I think):
CHARACTER CREATION
Level: 1
Race: Any, but clear it with me first. I would vastly prefer the PCs be one of the common or uncommon races in Cheliax. I will NOT accept the alien/sci-fi races without a backstory that is cinema-worthy.
Class: Any official Pathfinder, but I will allow 3PP material on a case-by-case basis, if requested. Again, subject top my discretion.
Max HP per HD
+2 skill points per level, one of which must be used on a social skill (One using CHA), Craft, or Profession
Bonus Feat at 1st level
1 Trait, plus a Campaign Trait, with the option to take a 3rd Trait if a Drawback is also taken
1,000 GP starting gold
Ability Scores: Choose one stat that becomes 18 before modifers, then another which becomes 08 before modifiers, then distribute 16 points amongst the other ability scores (Which are set at 10,) in any way you desire. You may reduce any of the 4 stats by up to -2 to gain a commensurate number of points to distribute amongst the others.
Max HP for each level.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Welcome Nikolaus!
Richard Holysmith
wbl = Wealth By Level
A level 5 PC would have 10,500 gp according to Paizo's Gamemastering stuff.
Mera Wist-Thrune
DM RichD - Thoughts on claiming Lorelei's loot?
Nikolaus de'Shade
Could someone summarise the plot so far for me so I can start working out what to hook myself in with? I know the Pathfinder Soc is on the outs with Cheliax, but if you guys are going into an old lodge then maybe?
Equally I'm considering a wyrdwood (maybe) so perhaps find me inside the lodge trapped somehow?
Nikolaus de'Shade
Bit more information.
I've narrowed it down to playing a cleric with VMC Rogue (for trapfinding mostly). Unless DMRichD I can take the 'Trapfinder' campaign trait from Mummies Mask, maybe as a Regional or re-flavoured campaign trait? (It would help quite a lot if I can! :))
You gain a +1 trait bonus on Disable Device checks, and that skill is always a class skill for you. In addition, you can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps, like a rogue.
This suggestion is exactly the same as Trap Finder from Mummies Mask, just refluffed. Would it be allowed as my campaign trait?
Apart from that what does the group need? Tal is pretty easy to work out but with two bards who seem able to do almost anything I'm not quite sure what the party needs! I'm thinking about A Blossoming Light Aasimar who will be able to do light spells etc and channel all over the place. That's liable to be quite effective against undead, but locks me out of armor and means I won't be much good in combat against 'normal' stuff.
Is there anything else the party wants/needs? I could probably spare a feat or two for some crafting too (especially if I don't have to use VMC) so I could be a very supportive character indeed! :)
Tal Bernard Mainz
Don’t worry about covering all the bases or maximizing anything. Just create a fun character and roll(role) with it.
DM RichD
@Nikolas: Yes to the trapfinding (I've used the same trait in non-Mummy's Mask campaigns myself!)
I second what Tal said-This group does outstanding RP'ing so create a character you like!
It's been awhile since I read through this, but I believe there is down time and if not, we can 'create' some if you decide to craft.
Mera Wist-Thrune
I think the major area that needed covering was someone with more divine capabilities than what Richard or I have access to.
This isn't really a min/max type of group, we have a tendency to flavor more towards the RP with some divine intervention from the DM when we hit a wall :)
Welcome aboard!
Mera Wist-Thrune
Heya gang! I'm headed to PAX Unplugged and won't be back online until Monday probably. Please GMPC me as needed.
Richard Holysmith
Ah, a good time as any for Mera to storm out!
Enjoy the weekend.
Mera Wist-Thrune
I'm back! I had an excellent time at PAX Unplugged! Always fun to play at a live table with a group of friends and a fun GM! :)
Mera Wist-Thrune
Thank you all for entertaining me. We can wrap here and get back to Delvehaven as soon everyone is ready. I just had to let a little more of Mera out of the bag to do her thing ;)
Mera Wist-Thrune
:)
Richard Holysmith
Indeed, I don't get to RP often inbetween attack rolls.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Good to go whenever. If others want a chance to chat some more we can.
Richard Holysmith
Sounds like Stryx wants to join the festivities.
Richard Holysmith
Now that the party has died down a bit...
I think we're ready to move on. Let's crush that skeleton!
Mera Wist-Thrune
Safe travels RichD!
Happy holidays to everyone. I hope you have a holly, jolly time with your friends and family!
Mera's not the caroling type, but if you put a glass of wine in her hand she'd gladly sing you a song or two by the warmth of the fire.
Tal Bernard Mainz
So what is the plan for taking out the triceratops of death?
