And thus began a new game...
The way Silverhex works:
There are 6 quests.
Each one is fairly short (think 1-2 encounters where they could be both roleplay, both combat, or a mix).
As you complete quests, you unlock greater rewards on the chronicle sheet:
1 quest = 100gp 1xp 1pp
2 quests = 250gp 1xp 1pp
3 quests = 250gp 1xp 1pp + boon
4 quests = 350gp 1xp 2pp
5 quests = 500gp 1xp 2pp
6 quests = 500gp 1xp 2pp + another boon
At any point, you can decide you're done questing (and I can try to substitute you out, or just continue on if others want to keep playing).
You can then take this chronicle, assuming it's not complete with 6 quests checked off, and decide to carry it around until you do check off as many quests as you want to. At whatever point you decide you're done checking off quests from this sheet (could be 1, could be all 6), you can then apply the chronicle to one of your existing PFS characters. Once you play any other scenario on that PFS character, you can't continue to check off quests on this sheet.
So, if you decided you wanted to stop at 3 quests and apply the chronicle to your xxxx-4 for example, you could do so. You could keep playing here assuming we do all 6, and then you can take those next 3 quests and apply them to your xxxx-5 for example.

Signboy here. I decided to go with Amiri, just because I already have a character for her. I will just need to change her to 1st level.
I plan to finish all 6 and apply them to Johann, my paladin in your Core Slave Pits of Absalom game.

@Everyone: One more reminder that we're currently sitting at 6 players in the Core game due to a late addition.
I also have one more player who'd be interested in the Core game, so if any of you folks who set a preference of "Either Core or Classic" would prefer to switch to Classic, simply chime in so here.
If just one person wishes to swap, you'll check into Classic Silverhex Table 1 as their 5th.
If a second person wishes to swap, you'll check into Classic Silverhex Table 2 as their 5th.
Otherwise, the first post is up!
As you settle on the pre-gen you wish to play, go ahead and check in as that pre-gen.

I believe everyone's checked in an posted in character except Pirate Rob as Lem.
I'll drop him a PM and see if we can get him to pop in before anything meaningful transpires.
Feel free to post here to fill in the virtual "sign in sheet" for the quests.
Post your:
Player Name
PFS ID that will receive credit
Faction for the PFS ID that will receive credit
Pre-gen used

I didn't realize we had to pick the character getting credit up front - does that preclude us from using that character during this time?
If not, (or maybe even if so), then I will apply the credit to:
Player Name : PJP
PFS ID that will receive credit: #150786-11 (August Dupine)
Faction for the PFS ID that will receive credit: The Exchange
Pre-gen used: Kyra

You all have completed Mausoleum, the first of the six Silverhex Chronicles.
I'll be moving on to run Mists next. If anyone wanted to switch the PC getting credit, change their pre-gen or tap out from continued quests, let me know.
They will largely be similar in concept, scope and length to Mausoleum.

This one's a bit different with pre-gens in that you can only apply the credit to one your usual 1st level PCs (versus any level). You can replay Silverhex as much as you like for credit.
The moment you play anything besides Silverhex on a PC that has Silverhex credit, you can no longer keep getting credit for quests on that PC.
Depending on how many quests you have at that point, it will lock in your XP/PP.
1 quest = 100gp, 1xp, 1pp
2 quests = 250gp, 1xp, 1pp
3 quests = 250gp, 1xp, 1pp, boon
4 quests = 350gp, 1xp, 2pp
5 quests = 500gp, 1xp, 2pp
6 quests = 500gp, 1xp, 2pp, another boon
So you could for example, do all 6 quests on one PC and get everything.
Since we're running 6 quests here, you could also do 3 quests to one PC for 250gp+1xp+1pp and then 3 quests to another PC for the same result. Because the chronicle is "open" until you play any other game, you could conceivably replay Silverhex and continue to check off quests as well.
This is the blank chronicle sheet that you would've gotten with 1 quest checked off when you completed Mausoleum.

Ah, ok - so I guess I can see the reasoning to do just one (for a quick XP boost), or 4 (to get the extra PP), and of course 6 to rack up some boons. I suppose I can also see why one might want to split the 6 up 2 or 3 ways, although since you can replay it, this seems less useful. But it is an interesting option.
I really only play PbP, so not having a character free for some time could be a detriment, but since the number of Core scenarios being run is somewhat limited, it doesn't seem to be a problem right now.
Thanks for the info!

I think that pre-gens that happen to have day job skills can roll them, although I don't think a consensus was ever reached so you're free to rule either way. Here is a relevant thread if you want to read more opinions.
As a note, I think it's also possible to check off a box on one's faction Journal.
To confuse things Brock says here that you have to play your own character.
Here however he gives explicit instructions on applying from campaign mode AP and Silverhex saying as long as you are applying it to a character you're good.
So I think they are applyable when playing your character, or when playing a mode that doesn't allow PFS characters (Silverhex, WBG. AP Campaign Mode)
They are not applyable if you happen to be playing a pregen in a normal PFS scenario/module etc.
I'm less than 100% sure. Fortunatly the Faction cards don't require any direct action from you other than players potentially confirming that they completed a particular task.
That ended up way longer than I imagined when I started typing.
