No worries and I don't think you need to worry that you killed the game.
As far as likeable or not, there's plenty of time for that. Not like you're gonna be at sea for 2 days and suddenly that's it.

Don't worry, getting Xanxan to talk to you is not hard... it's getting him to shut up that's the problem. :)

The wisdom check was just my way of deciding if Tully was going to try to avoid drinking the rum, and whether he would wisely keep his mouth shut, or get carried away a say something foolish.

Guess Jirobo gets a solid beating with that roll of 1 on a stealth check..ouch.

Don't worry. We'll definitely cross paths. So far I've only really met Ko'ulu and Callum. Plus, this is far more realistic than many games I've played. Often it's just "Hi, my name's ______. Let's all work together." This is much more genuine and natural.

Yeah, I definitely like the natural progression of relationships as opposed to the "you're all gathered in the tavern..." or "you're all gathered in the Godsmouth Cathedral."

soooo. Yes, I think that Ko'ulu is going to be the dreaded "mean" drunk. I think it counterpoints his usual steady attitude nicely.

Nah. A little righteous anger is a good thing. This has been a very bad day for a few people... Besides, we don't need the whole party fawning over Sandara.

Too true. And it really is a bit early to just trust anyone. I imagine that as we are the newcomers we would glom on to each other, and the old crew probably wouldn't open up to us until we prove ourselves.

Hrmm...the question is do I escalate this or not? They attacked the only character with a natural weapon. I start pecking/biting, does that get us all keelhauled?

If I'm reading the ability correctly, there is no bonus from Callum unless you're using a weapon (and I don't think natural attacks count as a weapon unless you're a monk). And it would only be against the person he designated (who, from what I could tell, is attacking Jirobo {who you are attacking, so at least there's that}).

A question for our DM... as a gnome with a decent CHA, Xanxan can cast prestidigitation once per day. The spell description says that spell lasts an hour, and can clean 1 cubic foot of material per round (the spell lasts an hour) or lift one pound of material. I guess I'm asking if the spell would help give a bonus to the bilge job (or even, dare to dream ,do it for him), and if so how much?
Sadly it won't provide any bonus. The amount of time you're down there and what exactly the job entails, Prest. just won't cut it to help you to the degree you might want. We're talking knee to waist deep water, along with refuse and all kinds of nasty.

DM Question: Are we spellcasters that don't require a spellbook given enough time to memorize our spells everyday? Cause I see needing to spend the next few days with only cure light wounds spells readied.
Yeah, generally you can assume for the spellcasters that sometime in the evening (after you've done your Night Action(s) but before the next day) you can re-memorize them.

Lol yeah. And hopefully my numbers won't knock her back down again. Starting to think it may be more cost effective for us if we let Tully hit the influence actions while the rest of us just work, lol.

Nah, I'm only 1 for 2, and I've got all the advantages... Sooner or later, there's going to have to be some diligent working out of me, or Scourge is going to get his pound of flesh (and after my friendly chatting-up of Sandara, I'm probably numero uno on his hit list)... Anyway, Callum did well enough.
Yowza that was some craziness. Sandara's healing blast will heal all the nonlethal from everyone. Jirobo, you took enough nonlethal that the extra converted over to lethal, thus why you're "real" HP is adjusted. To save you the time on the math, you were dropped to -6 from the whipping. Good thing a cleric wanted to be friends lol.

Sooooo. On average, Ko'ulu will be dead from the rum in 9 days. Um is that right? If so, I don't think that the crew will make it to the next port.
Lol, there is the possibility. I think the idea in the AP is that you heal at least 1 point of damage per night of rest (2 with help) which will roughly balance out with the rolls and also there will be times where you won't drink. Cause even if you get caught dumping your rum, taking some nonlethal damage instead of ability damage might be a semi-decent trade off.
But yeah, this AP (and most that I've seen) are not too forgiving or easy. Which I kind of approve of cause in some games ::cough:: 4E ::cough:: there's this feeling like you don't really need to worry about dying. Death is a very real option, especially for press-ganged pirates. :-)

I am pretty certain that Ko'ulu will never personally pass up drink that is given to him. He may not buy it on his own, but seeing as how alcohol would be special in his village...I could make up some elaborate reason...but for simplicity sake, lets just say that it wouldn't be manly for Ko'ulu to turn down alcohol.

You might have already posted this, but where can I find some practical info on how to handle my rolls and actions with Rum addiction?

Rum addiction follows the standard Drug rules, it's a minor addiction. PFSRD Link.
What it boils down to is this. Now that you're hooked, if you don't drink the rum at night, you will receive a -2 penalty to Con for the next 24 hours (or until the next rum distribution essentially). If you do drink the rum, you won't take the -2 penalty to Con but you will take whatever Con damage is rolled.
Addiction is a disease and can be cured similarly. Either with the Remove Disease spell or with consecutive succesful saves. Right now, you would need to not drink the rum for 2 days AND make two DC 5 Fort saves, 1/day, in order not to be addicted anymore.
For everyone: Also note, if you drink rum while still suffering the Con damage from early "doses" of rum, the DC of future Fort saves to avoid addiction or to cure it increases by +2. So as an example, Ko'ulu was still suffering Con damage from Night 1's drinking, so his Fort DC was a 7, not a 5 for Night Two as I originaly posted. This would be the same for Callum and Calvin if you choose to drink tonight. I can't edit the post though so just keep it in mind.
So for now Calvin, all you need to decide is if you drink the rum or try to quit.
Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)
I think I'm glad Xanxan has been trying to avoid the rum from the get go.
He's added a certain pirate goddess to the ones he worships though, thanks to a priestess' help :)
It isn't a completely bad idea lol.
I will say this, I do applaud everyone for sticking with the character concepts and reasonings you've put forth. It would be only too easy for people to go "well the rum is going to screw me so I don't drink it" even if your character normally would. Basically what I'm saying is, I appreciate everyone keeping PC knowledge separate from character knowledge. When any of you avoided rum so far, it's been for solid reasons, not simply to avoid the mechanics. So kudos.
Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)
The hard for me is not completely ignoring 'excitable' yet not letting it turn into 'suicidal' ;)
Well characters are multi-faceted. Just cause you like to bungee jump doesn't mean you're going to do it every day. If you're excitable, there's gotta be certain days where you just need to recharge lol.
