Man this site has been killing me the past couple of days. I can't count how many times I tried to post something and the site crashes or resets or the internet connection goes down. I lost the posts for this one a few times. Hopped up in the rageahol which I think Callum has been drinking too.
Very cathartic though. Quite helpful and not as POed anymore.

What I found really annoying was the rolls changing the next time it was up and I was ready to post. Had to change it again (makes it in 6), and again (falls twice or so, makes it in more than 10), until I finally just pre-typed up a whole bunch of [dice] rolls that I could quickly glance at the results and write from there. Still could have gone south if it had happened again.
Then again, as I look at some of my posts in my other games and the mistakes being made as I become discombobulated from the crashing, I may have written some of the earier posts in the wrong board and lucked out that the boards crashed, lol. I don't know. Maybe I need to take some deep breaths and relax.

Oh joy... the box... Is Callum stripped down or does he pretty much have everything (not that he has much that could help)? And, since it's night, he doesn't have to worry about the heat yet, right (although I expect tomorrow it will be on in full force)?
DM Jonasty
Callum: You'd be stripped of the big things weapons, armor, etc. More to make it easier to fit you in the box less than you might try to use something in there. As far as the heat, you'll have to deal with it during the evening as well as the day. Reasoning - You're in the tropics so the nights don't get that cold to begin with, the chest has already been baking in the sun all day, and it's also the confines trapping your body heat. So yes, this will not be a pleasant 24 hours for you.
Ko'ulu: Magical healing like CLW heals an equal number of nonlethal as it does lethal. So in this case, Jirobo's healing will bring you from 7/17 up to 13/17 and will heal 6 points of nonlethal, leaving you with 11 left which would be less than your current 13, so you'd be awake after his healing but still banged up. So you would have your full Night Time action available.

I almost feel like we should stop reviving Ko'ulu (Sorry, Ko'ulu!). If we just let him sleep it off tonight, he won't have to be punished tomorrow. If we wake him up, he's automatically getting whipped tomorrow night. (Again, very sorry. I'm not trying to take away your night action. Just highlighting the situation. If you want us to keep reviving you, I have no problem with that.)
The only reason I bring it up is that if we're going to mutiny, it will probably be at night, late night. It would be best if we were at full strength, with full spellcasting ability. So, we need to have a day in which we take no punishments at all.
Callum Carnvegas
Um... wow. Thank goodness my search-fu was working. Without that +4, Callum would be dead. The sweatbox isn't so bad for an 8 hr stint, but it's practically a death sentence for 24 hrs.
Remind me to dial back on the flavour text. The rivalry / mini-nemesis in Tate is so much fun to write, but it's going to get me killed. I'll try to stick to "Callum works...", "Callum influences...", or "Callum sleeps..."
If you see me on the verge of doing something foolish like this again, tell me to stick to my knitting. Hopefully, I'll catch it in time and I'll be able to edit or delete the post before it gets placed into the annals of history and gets Callum keelhauled and sweatboxed in one go.
DM Jonasty
Lol, I am enjoying the flavor text immensely on that front. I wouldn't say you should get rid of it, but maybe dial it back at times. ;-) Throwing a punch is one thing, but sending a man overboard in the middle of the ocean calls for a slightly more severe punishment than a few lashes or a couple hours in the box.
Callum Carnvegas
Lol. I figured Tate would survive since the ship was more or less stopped for the boarding practice, and there was a boat in the water on the same side. And he was right there... Low hanging fruit and all. Callum's somewhat of an impulse-driven fella.
I think the sweatbox was good for him, though, and I'm really hoping he's learned his lesson. I'd kind of like him to survive at least long enough to see his Driver feats in action, so I'll do my best to keep the reins on him.
Callum Carnvegas
A Will save? That a sanity check to see if Callum wakes up a gibbering loon?
----
Ko'ulu, maybe you can put in for a free natural armor bonus based on all the scars on your back, lol.
For some reason, whenever someone goes unconscious, it seems infinitely safer to let them wake up on their own rather than heal them. Saves them from future punishments or other potential pitfalls. Nothing bad happens in your sleep. At least so far.
Callum Carnvegas
And OMG, Tully. 34??? I'm going to have to work extra hard to keep Tate alienated just in case some of your rolls accidentally splashes over onto him and we suddenly become bosom buddies!
I'm also starting to feel sorry for Plugg and his ilk. His circle of friends (or lackeys, I guess) is becoming smaller and smaller.
Xanxan Gimblewabe
Well, the officers are probably tougher than our allies are. Frankly I wonder if I'm not being a bit timid with Xanxan. Maybe I should have him explore the ship more, but it can be tricky to figure out how to get to this area here or there I haven't been to before. Add to that and its a solo mission, and I'm a bit skittish.
Callum Carnvegas
I forgot about the sneak action. But I guess that's because my stealth is practically non-existant. Just be mindful of the traps you've seen and the shish-kebabing of Jirobo. Search for a trap before opening a door. If you don't find one, just assume that the trap is there and skip the room (better safe than sorry). Consider checking out known areas (kitchen, crew quarters, even the bilge) with more than a cursory glance. Hidey-holes for things might be handy to be aware of. Better if someone else was using them as a hidey hole with some interesting stuff in them.
We might be able to use the 'helpful' Grok to launder anything we find, if it's not very specific (like an amulet with the captain's name on it).
Not sure what the punishment for theft is. Might be fun to find out, lol. Then again, maybe not if it's a keelhaulin' or long-term sweatbox.
Callum Carnvegas
Wow. Then your timidity/skittishness is well placed. Stick with looking for places to hide junk or steal only junk that doesn't have a clear owner.
Oh and disguise yourself as Tate if you go a'thiefin'. Be seen but don't get caught. He could use a good ol' fashioned keelhaul.

Well... Tully's been drawing on your faces with permanent marker. You know, just mustaches and cat whiskers, a monocle and some funny words written in reverse on your forehead. But, there don't seem to be any mirrors on the Wormwood, so it hasn't really played out...
Young Tully
Another day or two, and we should have Fipps on our side.
Question for the group: Do you want me to try to win over Jape and/or Tate?
Considering what I've seen in other PF Adventure Paths, there is probably some substantial story-xp award if we win over everyone (meta-gaming very slightly here). Jaundiced Jape was just a couple of bad diplomacy rolls, but very little RP for his elevated hatred. But, story-wise, I'm not sure we could or should ever be friends with Narwhal Tate.

Seems my prodding of Jirobo was for naught. In my rush to get to work this morning I left the AP book on my dining room table. So no updates from work and then you guys know how crap my weekend posting is. I hope to have something up beforehand but it's shaping up that the battle royale will start on Monday. Poop. :-P

Hmmm... failed job check.
Whip 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Whip 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Whip 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 Damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Lol! No worries, just sleep it off tonight! =)

No worries on my part. And init in this game is first come first serve. Xanxan had sound reasoning. If it wasn't for the fact I had to leave, and so not be able to write a proper post until maybe tomorrow (on my phone now and it's a PITA to use on this forum), I'd have already posted Callum warning/helping the captain, if for different reasons. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to decide his actions, I guess.

Random rolls to scare the PC's
Well at least there wasn't the infamous 1d666 ⇒ 553
I'm for more-or-less sticking to our posts. Especially with your fire. Going below decks could mean a death sentence.
