Erdwin backs back into the room. Then, turns to his companions.

Looks like we still have a dragon the deal with, I think we need a plan.

[LE] StoryTeller

so what now heroes ?

In this case, lets take a rest here. I will pray Hextor for giving me the right tools to pass the Dragon.

[LE] StoryTeller

you are really proposing to spend the "night" here ??? i would strongly advise against it when enemy are about close and do know where you are

Hp 31/51 AC24 (FF22/T12); (+6 Spot, +4 Listen; +0 Init; Fort +10, Ref +2, Will +12)

What do you suggest ? To take the wrath of a dragon and an elf killer in open air ?

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

Can we dig down to a lower level of the building we are in, and when possibly swim out a ways.

[LE] StoryTeller

the building you are is only one floor that you can go to. If you do not want to face the dragon you can always try to sneak out and flee underwater. Miha can make everyone invisible if you really need

M Half-Elf Rogue/3 Wizard/4 HP 50/50 AC 20:T 14:Fl 17 Init +3 Sav[f:+5,R:+9,W:+5] Speed 30 Spot +11 List +7 Condition: Normal, Spell Failure 10%

And dragonsense will cath the ruse anyway...

Mayb, but maybe not and if the dragon can follow you underwater, most likely the goblin rider can not. I was trying to offer a possible alternative. But as always it is up to you. So what now heroes ??

what now heroes ?

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

we are swimming.

Borrum glances around for any enemies and continues swimming underwater.

[LE] StoryTeller

The water is dark and heavy, it is hard to navigate between the sunken buildings of the city of Rhest

if you play smart everyone should be able to surface slowly for air while still invisible and make enough distance in the 7 min of the duration of the spell that the dragon can not perceive you.

As the group makes regular interval to the surface for air they see a lots of boats carrying Lizzardfolk toward the Bell tower (with the dragon still perched) and the Town hall.

It takes some intelligence, time and luck from the group to get to shore without getting spotted on the way

you make it to shore. what now ?

No one has opposed Borrum's suggestion or offered another. So we make a camp a distance away from the lake and recuperate. Let the lake inhabitants calm down. Borrum has no intention of going back to the elven encampment until our part of the deal is complete.

Erdwin, could use some spell slot refreshment he won't object.

I think we owe that goblin and dragon a death worth writing a sonnet about with us as the heroes. But for now I think I have an ego that needs some healing and a body that could rest.

[LE] StoryTeller

The party can make camp a few miles away inside the marsh...

the night pass uneventfully and morning arise

what now heroes ?

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

[LE] StoryTeller

The party once their battle plan ready makes their way back toward the center of the lake. once they get into the center building, the old town hall they can see that the remaining of what was left inside the library and the hobgoblin's study haven been emptied.

So sound nor is there anyone living in the Bell tower as well when they go to check it out.

And in the small attached building the body of the dead creature is gone

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

With the lake abandoned, the next obvious choice to go to the Elven encampment.

I suppose they will be all dead.

[LE] StoryTeller

the lake isn't completely abandoned there are still about 100 or so lizardfolk to be precise

It take the party the better part of the day to get the the elven encampent, but by mid afternoon they can safly get inside.

The camp looks exaclty how they left it and they are greeted by an elven ranger who brings the party to the speaker.

Erdwin sidles up to Borrum and says, I guess it's a good time to ask about those eggs.

[LE] StoryTeller

The speaker nods to each and everyone

The smile on Erdwin face must surly means that you were successful i imagine.

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

Borrum looks to Galdamor, cuz he knows his own words are not very flowery.

He dumps the eggs that he has been carrying at his feet and says, "Weez found dees out in da lake. Look like eggs ta us."

Male Wood Elf Scout 3 / Ranger 4 - AC 20, touch 14, flat-footed 15 (armor+5 ,+ 1 Shield ,Dex +4) hp 14/45

He was quiet as the assmebled group was brought forth before the speaker, and he took the time to quietly study them letting his sharp eyes look over their equipment and bearing. His eyes widened slightly at the sight of the egg(s) and a slight frown cracked his grim demeanor for a moment before he became stonefaced again. He coudlnt help but to grip the ends of the two swords on his waist for a moment, before his hands stilled atop the bow.

He waited for the speaker to once more speak to them, after all he hadnt been here before when they spoke last, and while he had been given a quick synopse of why they were here by one of the tribes gatherer's He didnt feel like it was his place to speak just yet.

A darker almost ruddy skinned elf with dark covered warpaint in streaks over his face is standing a few feet behind and to the side of the speaker. He bears two short swords on either side of his hips, and a long bow is across his back slanting down from the left while a quiver full of arrows is poking up over his right shoulder. A very slight tinkling of metal can be heard when he moves though its clear he has a shit at least of chainmail under a coat. Leather pants with dark leather boots that go just below his knees completes the ensemble. Just so you guys know what you are taking a look at.

Hp 31/51 AC24 (FF22/T12); (+6 Spot, +4 Listen; +0 Init; Fort +10, Ref +2, Will +12)

Greetings speaker. Says Galdamor with a nod to the ederly elf.

After an exploration of the old town seems now free of the influence of the Red Hand. We have killed one of their monster and find eggs.
We don't know what they are, but the creature we killed was guarding it.
Nevertheless, if you push away the Red Hand, we still don't know what they want here, or what they were looking for. More, there are still a goblin, who are quite good at killing elf and riding what we think is a green dragon.

[LE] StoryTeller

let me have a look at it says the speaker

after a few minutes and the casting of a druidic spell

i can not offer much but what i can tell you is that this is an egg used to hatch a creature and that creature doesn't belong to the natural order. It's conception was in parts due to sorcery

Well there is not much we can do against a dragon most of our giant owls have been killed. she turns to the ranger

please pass the information to Killiar Arrowswift so that he can organized the patrols

she ponders and then looks at the part

i also sense you are carrying an object with a strong necromantic aura ?

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

"Really... Strong necromantic aura yous say? About time weez found somthin' worth ah damn. What is it? An' if weez don't want it, how much yous offerin' fur it?"

Male Wood Elf Scout 3 / Ranger 4 - AC 20, touch 14, flat-footed 15 (armor+5 ,+ 1 Shield ,Dex +4) hp 14/45

He bowed low the frown growing slightly more as he was dismissed to run the missive to the leader of the hunters . . . His father. He moved quickly hurrying through the tribal encampment to find his father. He was desperately curious as to the traveling group.

[LE] StoryTeller

she meant after the meeting Casedru. You step out the door and quickly notify the Guard sgt so that Arrowswift can be warned and you return to the meeting

He moved quickly to catch the speaker as she fell frowning at the dark necklace.

"Such evil creations... it reminds me of my last mission traveling south into blighted lands. Bah. You folk seem stout of heart and purpose. Tell me more of this dragon and its allies."

He began once more gripping the hilts of his shortswords.

[LE] StoryTeller

Erwin:
If you are of good alignment, and the strongest evil aura’s power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura’s source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends..

a few seconds pass and she comes back around and calls for her attendent to go fetch High Singer Trellara and High priest Illian Snowmantle

Before i reply i want the high singer to have a look at it as well

it takes a few min and you see both of the elves enter the private room

The speaker show them the item and warns them about the evil aura of the item.

DM only:
Kn R: 1d20 ⇒ 8 Kn R: 1d20 ⇒ 12 Kn H: 1d20 ⇒ 10

after looking at it for 5 long minutes the each bow to the speaker (who hasn't said much) and take their leave

they should be back an elven fighter enters with a small iron / lead box and present it to the speaker

if you don't mind for the moment it is best to seal it while we wait she says directing the warrior to take the item and secure it into the box.

How about you get some rest and change into proper clothing. there will be a feast in your honor tonight.

she says concluding for the moment this interview

Casedru would you please stay with them i feel that there is still much to learn and to do ? she says with a tired smile

Male Dwarf, Hill Dwarf Fighter Hp 66/66 AC 20/11/19 Init +1 (Spot -1, Listen -1; Fort +9*, Ref +3*, Will +1*)

What the hell? An she-elf claims we got some evil magic item. We show what new items we have picked up and she passes out. Next two other elves come in and look at the same item and don't pass out. Followed up with an elven warrior taking our necklace and locking it in a box. Something seems fishy here. I bet they sent us there just to find this item for themselves. I'll also bet that armor we showed them first was some uppity guard meant to guard that thing. Well we better get it back or get paid real good for it. And now they want us to talk to this other new elf, who can't keep his hands off his weapons? (compensating for something there, hahaha) Yea right, they are just trying to find out what else we may have found or seen.

Borrum just stands there with dropped jaw, as he watches the necklace get taken and locked in a box.
